My humble quest to watch every single NFL game this year
Success replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember life before I got married.... -
Surprised to see that from a Daboll team. After that 1st miscue, they played like they didn't care. They put up no fight whatsoever.
-
If I had my druthers - I'd want the Cowboys there waiting for us if we make the SB. The 90's hurt. If we're gonna win it all, why not want it to be against the nemesis of my childhood.
-
That was mind-boggling to me. Just a bad, bad coaching decision. Make Mac Jones go 90 yards to beat you. Don't present a gift to him.
-
Without doubt - one of my new fave things is Pats fans declaring moral victories.
-
That Charger play is inexcusable. There is NOTHING to gain there.
-
I'm annoyed about the Pats coming back.
-
What a start to the season for ol' Mac.
-
The media has real double-standards when it comes to Mahomes, Burrow & Allen. Allen simply doesn't have as much leeway as the other 2 when it comes to having a bad game.
-
It's kind of great that the Chiefs & Bengals got all of the hype this offseason.
-
Man - no one looks that good so far. Just week 1, but some of these games just look bad.

With the Bills off today, which game are you focusing on and why?

Pats, Dolphins & Bengals games are the most interesting to me. -

Still working on it. But it's absolutely crucial. Wings are likely involved. -
The Bills will win if/The Jets will win if....

The Bills will win if there is any kind of logic or sense to the universe. The Jets will win if....well, they won't. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now

I am in full agreement. I think the Cincy game left a bad taste in the mouth of this team that has been festering for months now, and we're going to see the results of that on Monday. I kind of love that most are writing this team off, and saying things like "they're going to take a step back," and "their window has closed." As I've said often, this is the best, deepest & most balanced team we've had in the JA era. A few weeks into this season, we're going to see a lot of "how did we forget about Buffalo?" sentiments from the hot-takey media. -
Another player I have my eye on Monday is Torrence. How many times did we see Singletary or another back get the ball, only to immediately run into the defender at the line? I think Torrence is going to open up holes for the backs that we haven't seen in quite a few years. I'm excited about seeing Cook & Harris have something to work w/ when they get the ball.
-
The skills are there. He hasn't become that player who can take over games yet - but I feel like he could this season. It would be pretty big for this team's future if he does. Excited to see how it all starts off on Monday. I have a good feeling he'll be getting to AR a lot.

When do you typically get big game, game day anxiety?

Sports aren't fun. I don't really understand the concept that they're supposed to be. -
Doesn't seem like a lot of media people are going w/ the Bills on this one. It's a hard one to pick - as a lot of week 1 games are every season. But I just have a feeling that the frustration from the Cincy game combined w/ the Jets hype all offseason is going to lead to a pretty comfy Bills victory.

Kyle Brandt picks the Bills to win the SB
Success replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm feelin' it. The AFC is supposed to be super-tough this year - but we'll see how it plays out. Are the teams who we see as obstacles really that good? The conference MAY be more hype than substance. I genuinely believe we'll feel that way at the end - like we did about the AFCW last year. -
The Jets are weaker against the run, and I'd imagine their focus is largely on Allen in pregame planning. I hope Dorsey uses this opportunity to establish a REAL run game for the Bills, and put some emphasis on that part of the game. They key w/ the Jets is going to be avoiding 3rd & longs.
-
They could - but I think they made a major mistake not putting more focus on the WR corps. That is going to be a big liability for them all season, unless they can make a move and maybe get someone like Evans. It will help to have Kelce back, of course - but the rest of their offense is pretty middlin'.
-
The team I saw last night isn't the same one that seemed like a major obstacle the past few years. Since hot takes are so cool now, I'll offer one: for this year, the Chiefs will not be one of the top 4 teams in the AFC. The Ravens, Jags & Bengals will be the main teams we have to worry about come January.

Glad Nick Wright's 20-0 prediction didn't make it past week 1.
-
KC doesn't really have a WR corps. And that's a good thing.
