If MVP is purely a stat award, lets name it that. Most Valuable Player...to his team, to his league, what exactly is the criteria? I have heard people in the media pontificate and it is honestly not clear there is good criteria but the consensus seems to be the most valuable player to his teams success for the year. With any of the players mentioned (Mahomes, Rodgers, Henry, Wilson, Allen, etc) they are all super critical to their teams success. Taking other positions out of it, I think the Bills, Chiefs. Hawks and Packers all have worse records if they did not have their QB's. Which one is most important to their team, which one affects the win-loss record the most? That is a guessing game so that is where it comes down to stats to compare these players. Personally I think Josh falls short when you see what Rodgers and Mahomes have done. I don't think it is disrespect to say that, it does not mean all that much at the end of the day. We will see which team raises the Lombardi soon enough. Rodgers output with the lack of turnovers does is where my (unbiased) vote would go. Looking at all those stats shows me Allen still has room to grow, he has not reached his ceiling yet and realistically he can do better than he has this year.

WR Gary Jennings visiting Bills

Crazy they just waived Kumerow Hodges is on IR and cannot come back this year. -
Duke should improve his game, make the active roster, have some great games and throw it in Griese's face. We the fans can and should do nothing.

Almost had his 13th guy with a td catch. -
On any given year with poor leadership and cap managment, sure. I think Houston will be a force down the road though. Watson is great and they will be a team to deal with moving forward. The QB is one of three parts you need, the others are coaching and cap management. The Saints have struggled with cap management. Tee Falcons have struggled with coaching and cap management. In general if you get a top 5 type QB you should be able to consistently compete. I still think we need the element of time to put Allen in that category. The other thing, a couple examples of teams that had success only to fall off once the OC left, Philly and Atlanta....the new OC (if Daboll leaves) will be really important.

I can see NFL Sunday Ticket go to Amazon Prime
Matt_In_NH replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always see people wanting “their team only” and assuming they will get some great discount if that is an option. By and large that is exactly what you pay for with directs. Out of market fans ARE the Sunday ticket customers. Yeah you get the other games but how many people watch them? All the available games are in two time slots so who would pay for a second 1 pm game anyway? Yes there will probably be changes to how you can watch the bills but it won’t be cheaper. The other thing is the ticket is more valuable to a secondary performer like directv than say amazon. Amazon has their customers so they don’t need some lost leader to attract and retain cumstomers like dtv does. That is why a lot of people get discounts or free ticket each year. And the pirate options will always be there too so someone has to subsidize those guys. -

Merry Christmas jake. You’re fired. -
It was windy during that game, not really windy. The forcast was for more wind than they had during that game. I remember Sal saying it had little affect on gameplans or play on the field. It was "really windy" vs the Pats. Anyway, I see it both ways, there is an advantage in January if the Dolphins have to play outside in Buffalo but for the player Josh is, it is also good to be in a dome.
