Did you know this game happened a few weeks ago? Not sure why you would think San Francisco is the class of the league with that result.

The great Shannan just used two timeouts to get 2 yards for a first down. They used one to just try and get go to jump. Then another after the conversion. McDermott would be fried.
I agree that hurts but why did you think he would play? He was ruled out early with a knee and has not practiced at all, this seemed like the most likely scenario. Jackson, Douglass, Elam will be the guys.
That is interesting...Sunday had clearly better ratings, not sure why we conclude really strong numbers for the Bills game. On each day the 4:30 game outperformed the 8:30 game. It would seem to me the NFL lost some viewers by the game moving which explains why the NFL wanted to move the game to Atlanta to be played at the original time slot.
Talking heads get paid because they have an opinion they back up emphatically and will use whatever data they have to support it while ignoring data that refutes their point. Unfortunately that approach works and people love to respond to it and talk about the take as right or wrong. But in doing so it encourages more of the same. It’s like the guy I. The bar that just shoots from the hip with a string opinion. It’s an opinion and lacks substance but it gets a reaction and that pays.
I don't know about never, a play here or there this season flipped the division. McDaniel gets the most out of Tua as I think you can get. Tua cannot be in a better situation for his skill set.
Timeouts are valuable. Number one you try to save them for end of half or game. When it becomes clear you don't need them for end of game you can step down to other times they provide some value. So on a key 3rd down when you are on defense, you get the offensive formation/look, call timeout in the hopes they go from what they think is their best call to something else. The criticism of this stuff is a little over the top. Did anyone see how Sean McVeigh used timeouts vs Detroit?
Lets worry about next year after this year is over. Signing both those guys on the same day and their longevity on this defense has been exceptional and right now the mission continues.
Usually that is just "he's in the protocol". Taron has been through this 4 times previously and usually exits in record time, hopefully that continues and he is good.
