no of course not....however, if that is how your career fell then so be it. Make millions holding a clip board. Still play NFL QB in practice and occasional starts at the same time reducing head injuries drastically etc etc......could be worse things than that. Players do not have total control over their careers.

Who has the best stadium in the NFL?
cba fan replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What passes as a retractable roof these days is crap. That hole in Atlanta stadium is about the size of a manhole giant sized sphincter muscle look to it to top it all off. FWIW: Miller Park never makes you feel like you are outside when the fan shaped roof is open. The side walls are so high you feel like you are in a prison exercise yard. KC had the right idea with a few mocks where a large half moon roof on rails would have moved from on top of Kauffman Stadium to then rail over to be on top of Arrowhead as needed. That would have preserved the being outside feel as intended. KC tax payers turned it down a couple times. https://www.thepitchkc.com/news/article/20568115/a-look-back-at-the-original-truman-sports-complex-plans-roof-and-all 1st pic was original to roll on rails between the two stadiums. 2nd pic was referendum that voters rejected in 2008 that would have brought the 2015 Super Bolw to KC. They approved the refurbishment of Arrowhead jut rejected the dome which would have been stationary over Arrowhead only. -
I base my 100% opinion on a very visible set of events I believe to be more likely than not. IE: Because he did a decent job considering all the restraints and handicap working for a dysfunctional FO/ownership structure. If he had real GM power he would have been allowed to hire(and fire if needed) his coachs(Hue) and others and would not have been forced to draft completely different players for the every two year scheme changes going on. He would have also drafted his QB(Watson likely and maybe Mahomes as Pegula wanted him and he may have swayed Whaley as in my scenario they are even closer friends then they were reported to be in the bad scenario, so Pegula would have had Whaley's ear in that discussion) This is just speculation and extrapolation. A guess based on the knowledge we have and the track record of other GM's around the league who normally have full control over these things. Would it have worked out in the end? Who knows 100%, but he would have had a much better chance at success, again based on how well he did in the dysfunctional setup he was in. He brought in enough good players to make Bills a playoff contender. We will never know if he could have taken that up a step to Super Bowl contender.

Gaines released....Wallace promoted
cba fan replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You might be thinking of Dean Marlowe who filled in when Hyde and Bush were injured and played very well. He was then crushed to be cut after the game when Hyde and Bush were able to return to practice. Then was re-signed to ps and is still on it. NFL is a tough gig to stay on the 53 then tougher yet to be active then tougher yet to start a game and play very good. I see why he was crushed. -

That is right. When RB's go out for a screen a defender will start hitting him before the ball gets their in order to disrupt the play. That is if a defender can get to the receiver in time. It also allows RB's WR's OL out on screen pass etc etc to block behind the line of scrimmage on pass plays without penalty. Don't confuse this with holding the potential receiver. You still can not do that. But you can hit him and mug him. You can't overzealously mug him like Sherman did to Woods on the Monday night game in Seattle. Sherman was allowed to contact and impede Woods as Tyrod was out of the pocket scrambling and had not thrown the ball yet. Our beef with Sherman is he committed personal foul as he blew up the receiver and knocked him down instead of just contacting and bumping running with him. on replay it appears Jones cut inside as the other Bills WR was attempting to set a pick for him and missed as the DB went around him. If the other Bills WR went downfield a little more it would have been an illegal pick.

“Street” tickets/$7 Seats on StubHub
cba fan replied to 4_kidd_4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
curious. How this went at the game. Sucks all around man. Did you go to the seats you bought and got in on and have the group who got scammed come find you to talk about what happened? There seems to be fraud/jerks everywhere. -

cba fan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no I don't "got it" they have never ejected any NFL player for this rule in regular season in 2018 until tonight when it favored Patriots. if they applied this rule evenly and correctly they would eject players almost every game. Got it? -

You do not eject a major player or any player on a questionable call. Never. Hell you could kick out 5 or 6 players a game on that interpretation of a Pers Foul. -
Marc Trestman fired by Argonauts
cba fan replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah bring him in he could run out a 12th player like CFL to talk the QB through the play live in real time. If he comes in I would require him to leave that old haircut he had in Chicago in Canada. He failed as OC in Baltimore. FWIW. -
come on, a Dr. should understand risks. Spending about 8 mill on the cap(if cut after this year) and getting very little production for a previously injury prone player.
