Until we sort this officiating we are going nowhere
cba fan replied to Jasovon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
don't forget the AFC Championship game gift vs Jags last year that nullified a fumble return for a TD that would have pretty much iced the game for Jax. when the league is full of parity most teams are not good enough to overcome that stuff. -

it is an unavoidable byproduct of youth. History told me so. -

oh man. This has been dissected several times already. Bills nearly lead the league in number of 1st and 2nd year players playing when tallied up by snap counts. The overall roster age is not indicative of Bills amazing amount of young players. Starters like Lorax, Meatball, Haus-Money, Hughes, and also several other depth players weigh down the avg. age. -
Those were some overoficious jerks!

Edmunds call was atrocious. No holding what-so-ever. One of the worst phantom calls I have ever seen. The holding on Miller was not holding either. Miller just was falling. The holding on Johnson also was no holding. If it was Sherman he would be called on every single play of his career. Tre White does a lot of that also. And Revis made a HOF career vacation island out of doing that. KB knee was clearly down and broadcast brought on Steratore? rules guy who said Jags missed a review opp to bring ball back the 10 yards or so KB dragged Ramsey and company downfield. Then the facemask would have been added to that new spot. What he of course completely did not even bring up was it was almost simultaneous that Ramsey knocked the ball lose in KB hand as his knee touched. It was so close to be I think possibly inconclusive. They should have let Colemans crew do that hyper warp drive KC LA Rams Monday nighter. That would have been high end comedy. Those players might still be fighting if they called that game like they called Bills game. -
I don't care for his antics and trash talking, however, I could be swayed if the following happens and McBeane feel he is the answer. After he comes in and talks to McBean and shows he can be a more team first player. Of course trade never happens unless he comes over with a reasonable extension after the 5th yr option. And does not cost more than a 3rd which is unlikely anyway unless Jax is dumping talent for peanuts like Beane did to Bills in his first year.

the OP did an edit right about same time you asked. -
lol... then they can run the JIT sweep with McKenzie

I do not believe you can run faster with the ball in your hands as you have one less full arm swing. All things being equal. I have personally run down guys running with the ball who are faster then me running as fast as they can and I gain on them because I can swing hard with out holding a ball. A lot of times it happens when a defender has a better angle but not always. I don't refute your post. The X factors here are current real time game fatigue, conditioning, competitive urge, player trying to outrun a defender, adrenaline pumping, game excitement etc etc...… then you will run faster. But I bet those defenders having the same factors also run faster then normal. Very interesting.

TBD Secret Language re. Buffalo Bills
cba fan replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
pronounced as a word is completely subjective and a different argument from how you started this saying: "Acronyms make a word (like NASA), initialisms just use the initials and don't make any word out of it. Just sayin'. " For sake of discourse, pronounced as a word does not make it a word. And choice of what acronym is pronounced as a word or not is again very subjective. EX: why is NASA a word and CIA is not?? You could pronounce it "see-ah" then it is a word? but if you say C I A as is normal by users then it is an initialism? And who says pronouncing it as "see-ah" makes it a word? And clearly NASA pronounced like a word NA-SA is not a word. Same with CIA and others. Maybe this friendly discussion of this loses context as we are printing instead of talking the words etc etc….. not to open up a new "can of worms" or "COW" for those keeping track at home.(which actually fits the definition of an acronym as it actually is a word if pronounced like a word) but dictionary says NASA is a noun and is an abbreviation. I guess if you would have just said "Acronyms are initialisms pronounced like a word and initialisms are a grouped set of first letters of an abbreviation where you call out each letter when pronouncing" we would have never started down this weird road. I apologize in advance for all this rhetoric. I, and others, should have caught what you meant from the start. We whiffed. But this is interesting. I learned a few things today. Thanks. -

Week 12: Jaguars Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
cba fan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WTH *****. This injury report is an estimation?? Made up BS. WTH. Why are the Bills colors taking on an orange hue? It is like those nightmare late 80's early 90's cheap Bills gear that was in every store and gas station convenience store in Buffalo area with a clothes rack every time I visited. They had those cheap knockoffs from wherever and had those weird light colored royal and light colored red. -
Shuttle trip from Downtown to Stadium
cba fan replied to CTBLO716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
most Hotels have free shuttles to airports and back so not weird to expect a downtown shuttle for a NFL game trip. -
Has anyone here ever met Doug Marrone?

so she's an ass too?? -
No not exactly. Back when they wore this the NFL was celebrating its 75th year anniversary in 94 season and all teams were strongly encouraged to make and wear throwbacks for one home and one away game designated by the home teams. They did not have the one helmet rule at that time. Ralph was too cheap to spend for new white helmets and opted for this fiasco of the red with white standing bison. http://nfluniforms.blogspot.com/2011/07/throwback-helmet-evolution.html Jets also went the cheap route. a year earlier celebrating 25th anniversary of Super Bowl win then came to their senses long enough to do a white throwback in 94. Bills wore this on Monday night vs Denver and on the road against Oilers in Houston. They won both games by the way. It was the 1st year after the 4 Super Bowl run, so Bad luck uni. in my memory.

Because NFL does not allow for any other helmet than the prime for fit concussion safety reason per NFL. Since the prime is white they are limited to changing decals only on that white helmet. My solution is to wrap the white helmet in red and do the 90's. Then remove the wrap for next game. Simple.

Derek Anderson must have really gotten walloped
cba fan replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just for sake of argument. Lets say DA really does not want to play significant NFL minutes anymore and subject himself to more head trauma/body trauma at the end of his career. It would be easy to answer the concussion protocol questions in a way to look like he is not recovered. Hell, all he would have to say is he feels dizzy every time he runs or jogs and has memory issues...headaches etc. etc....…...that would keep him in the protocol for the rest of the season and he would keep getting paid. He was forearmed to the head and the back of his head hit the turf. Also hit the back of his head on the turf a play of two just prior to that forearm aided hit. Easiest way to get a concussion is the back of the head hitting. lol... I think it is common knowledge that if a QB signs with Buffalo it is presumed he has some degree of brain damage.
