  1. smokey bones is serving to midnight. but w game at 8 pm and likely 3.5 hours. It will be about midnight when you get to your car. then another unknown 1 or 2 hrs to get out of parking and on a main road. last time i went to a night game it was a thurs night that started at 7:20 pm. We did not get out of parking and traffic and on our way on a main road at speed limit speed until after 1 am. bring snickers and leave in car. They are good frozen.
  2. deep freezer. Chest type. sounds like a name for Bills Defense. "The Deep Freeze" if they dont go with my earlier to ref no pro bowlers. "The No Bowlers"
  3. sub Zero. No Bowlers (as in no "pro bowlers" just to be clear 🤫)
  4. need the comps to trade up. This makes them valuable. Could also trade a 3rd for a next year 2nd if surplus is too big. Yes Bills later draft picks will have hard time making team. Too much talent on roster.
  5. nobody wants to sit in the elements. Even the old guard who want the open air weather want a roof over their heads, heated seats, radiant heat lights above. Why? How can they enjoy "Buffalo Bills weather" like that. People with money sit in the clubs so they can go inside. Then you have open air proponent owners who never sit outside. Always in climate controlled suites. Makes no sense.
  6. like i said and your pic proves. They don't practice in bad weather outside. ty. I am not saying they never do. Just not in bad bad weather.
  7. Bills never practice out side in bad weather. No advantage for Bills in bad weather as this is a passing team and will be for the foreseeable future as all Super Bowl contenders are. Bills do not win in bad weather since Allen era. Bills have lost most games with high winds or bad weather at home in current era. Orchard Park site is highest avg winds for all NFL teams. Even before taking into account the venturi effect, which enhances wind on field, that the dumb 70's engineers built into Highmark.
  8. Buffalo is not for bison or the water buffalo in Asian countries. It was a miss spelling of French word for "beautiful flow." Buffalo is the name given to American Bison by white man in error though.
  9. No. lol, but i have been called Cliff Clavin, from Cheers fame, at parties.
  10. yes bears range included all of Illinois until development and resulting loss of habitat pushed them north. Occasionally a bear looking for a mate migrates down from Wisconsin and have been spotted in Chicago N and W suburbs. In Lincoln Zoo of course they have them. that was old map from before white man roamed. this is 1800's map.
  11. Yes i vote for Mahomes fiancé and her side chic Jackson to be sent to Sweden. lol. Bison is the logo not the city name. The historical range of 1800 American Bison extends up into the southtowns regions. It can be surmised some bisons roamed in Orchard Park and likely some strays ventured into what is now Buffalo city limits proper. Older range research shows range covered complete Buffalo area.
  12. There is a common misconception about the Lakers nickname glossed over by many. Lakers nickname was coined by a media guy when Lakers moved to MN. Inspired by the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" state motto. In reality they are named after the Lakes only secondary in relation to the true meaning of what a Laker is. A laker is a lake trout that live in most MN lakes. Also a shipping ship that trolls the Great Lakes. It is not a lake or people that live on or around lakes etc etc.. LA and Cali do not have a lot of lakes but the ones they do have, have lake trout in them. So they are the Lakers that are in the nickname. They could develop a mean ferocious lake trout logo if they desired and it would fit. Since laker ships do not troll Cali lakes a ship would not fit.
  13. maybe for pure emotion...... but if Bills win Super Bowl on last play of game Allen diving in for TD.....I don't know if we will survive that emotion.
  14. I would support and watch. USFL had the right idea. Could have lasted if they had followed more closely to the initial business model. Attendance was good for 2nd to NFL league and some cities great.
  15. taxes pay for hundreds of things you don't use. Why? because then we expect the same people to help fund our fun. Sports fans deserve their piece of the pie. school district will not stop taking my property taxes when my kid graduates either.
  16. lol correct. But Allen throwing in climate controlled dome will throw many more than outside. Did you not see Allen's long throws to deep open WR's take off sideways in the wind last year in Buffalo? vs Ravens Cost Bills two TD's. And the est for roof is 300 mill or about 5 to 7 mill a year prorated. Will more than pay for itself in increased tix sales alone. Not to mention it will lead to more wins causing increased ticket demand also.
  17. not in Allen era. Weather was ok for the two wins. Kelly era team could run. Allen era can't
  18. that was because Allen was playing and developing and bringing some excitement. And it was 30 degrees out.
  19. LOL.....it is not. Have you watched the Bills play in that? They suck.
  20. both. It cost more to build weatherproof and waterproof/mitigation open air and more to maintain. yeah me too. LOL crazy. It would be like Ford doing naming rights for a stadium in Tokyo.
  21. that's bs. If you bet 10 and team wins 10 or more you should win the bet regardless of how many total games your bet plays. personally i feel a bet is a bet. If you place a bet you accept the risks that games may not be played for many reasons. And live with the results.
