report- Empire State Development downtown stadium proposal
cba fan replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall
they are always full well in advance and with prices much much higher. I paid 270 for a "Motel" a few miles from Highmark that was jacked from it's usual $47 a night. Go on any hotel booking site and punch in Buffalo on Bills weekends then compare pricing on non Bills weekends. It is startling. They do it because demand is there and people pay it. you lose home field advantage if you go 60k. Must maintain 70k at least. Check Soldier Field mistake on the lake sad deal. Smallest in league at 61k = no crowd effect. Sad because Bears fans would fill a 100k stadium. -

OMG they are going bottomless.....😂 -
for a guy who gets traded more than a girl gets hands crowd surfing at an NCAA football game, this is pretty presumptuous of him.

Titans loss best thing for Seeding
cba fan replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
yes because Buffalo could run the ball with a great RB, good b/u's and very good run blocking OL. -
Public hearings coming on future Buffalo stadium
cba fan replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
since virtually every pro lease gives NFL team virtually all income from the stadium and other events. It would be in Pegs best financial interest to not own it. -
lol, Home field matters. In conference championship games it is about 65% so it increases in playoffs. https://www.lineups.com/articles/how-important-is-home-field-advantage-in-the-nfl/

Boomers: Does Derrick Henry remind you of Cookie Gilchrist?
cba fan replied to John Gianelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
well. Bills bottled actually bottled him up pretty good. Only 67 yds on 19 carries.(3.52 per carry) Until you add the bogus 76 yard run with three holding calls Titans committed. -
Boomers: Does Derrick Henry remind you of Cookie Gilchrist?
cba fan replied to John Gianelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Henry runs like Forrest Gump only faster yet. lol. Cookie runs more right left looping and less upright and looks more athletic, not stiff like Henry. Henry more straight ahead upright. -
Privacy for Josh Allen and Bills' players
cba fan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
that is great to try and attain. But all it takes is one or two fanboys/fangirls/fanfams and the players are invaded. Vast majority could and would leave them alone but sadly still many others think they are all their long lost fam they must approach. I will take that for 30 or 40 mill a year. But I get that it gets old for them too. You think the many thousands of gifted athletes who never made it to the big show w big money and accompanied privacy invasion would not trade places from their current 9 to 5's ?? I think they would gladly and just learn to deal with it. -
yes top seed is result of being better than the rest. Therefore they get high seed and bye week. Therefore being 1# seed is very important as it means you are the best team.
-
statistical proof is home teams win more often. yes getting top seed and a bye is very important for rest and health.

I think the Bills play angry and run up the score this week
cba fan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
reportedly players and coaches were upset about the uncertainty and timing of last years game. All caused by Titans breaking protocol. NFL then coddling them to the point no punishment was handed out after first reports were they would get hard punishment. Many felt a forfeit was the appropriate penalty. Then to top if off Titans players played the wo is me, everyone is against us, victim card. You can't fix stupid. They caused it all. -
Dolphins trade Jakeem Grant to Bears
cba fan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
good point. Steelers appear to not care about off field legal issues related to assault of women. At least in Big Ben case. And Watson's charges are not as severe as Ben's. -
no one knows exactly what the formula is. NFL keeps it a tightly held secret for some reason. (Belicheck has figured it out. He routinely trades for or signs vets toward end of season then watches them leave in free agency to help his formula=most years Pats lead the league in comp picks) But yes the amounts you sign for do matter as does the round you were drafted in. if you cut a player they no longer help you in the comp pick formula. First thing that must happen for this to even matter is you must lose more comp pick eligible players to free agency then free agents you sign. So even if Trubisky signs for 1 billion dollars for 5 years it will not matter if Bills sign more Free Agents then they lose. This is why Bills did not get comp pick for losing Stephon Gilmore.

Haack is kicking really slow [Moderator Edited🤦♂️]
cba fan replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
they are both 4 step punters. Kicking on 4th foot forward. in that still Hauck has already taken one step. He and Bojo both take 4 steps. Kicking on 4th foot forward. Hauck is just much much slower. -
"Pittsburgh Confused Josh Allen" - Chris Simms
cba fan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes. WR dropped balls, Allen a little late getting ball to WR at least 3 times for big gains causing DB to knock it out, overthrow on TD, and of course the dam blocked punt. Oh and if McKenzie breaks to the middle instead of into the return guys he likely scores. Game was very very winnable even as both lines struggled. -
NFLPA President unhappy NFL doesn't have daily testing
cba fan replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why did NFLPA agree to the protocols if they did not like them? -
Possibly but highly subjective. It depends on your opinion of if a "Republican Democracy" is representation. Some say it is some say it is not. Someone coming from a country with a gov't that a King, Royal family, dictator, military General, Iman, Ayatollah, etc.......makes all laws, would say it is representation. Full democracy never could work. How would changes/laws etc....etc. be formulated and how could every citizen vote for every measure proposed? It would be gridlock. Democracy works in small groups however is not scalable.

SD voters hated Chargers owner Spanos so much they twice voted down tax increases that only out of towners would pay. Yeah the hate ran deep. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/10/sports/football/san-diego-rejects-chargers-stadium.html "The Chargers then came up with a proposal to build a downtown stadium on a tight plot near the city’s convention center. The team wanted voters to raise the county’s hotel bed tax, which it portrayed as a levy on tourists."

Blue helmets? Either a marketing gimmick or a real thing.
cba fan replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that might be fun. Works better in sports that play many many more games. NFL wants to keep the main brand(which is helmet and logo) front and center as much as possible. This is why they denied the Seahawks desire to play with home and away helmets(1 navy 1 silver w same logo) back when they changed to current look. Fan poll then choose Navy. Would be interesting to see home and away though. But most likely would only allow the helmet color to be reversed. Not all these alternate helmets you see in NCAA football. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/941079-the-seattle-seahawks-and-their-nfl-uniform-changes-over-the-years-1976-present
