Bills signings & TT trade point to trade up
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To get to the 1st pick it would take 21,22 or 1st next year and probably a our 2nd and 4th rd picks. I could handle that if the QB we select is Baker Mayfield. -
In your hindsight, 2017: go all out to win, or tank?
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to boater's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I enjoyed seeing the guys get excited and I'm glad we made the playoffs but we all knew this team was not built to win a super bowl yet. Most know that we need a major upgrade at the QB position to even have a chance. Knowing that their were going to be at least 4 solid QB's coming out I was hoping for a 5 or 6 win season and a trade up to get our QB without giving up a arm and a leg. Im at the point where their is only 1 QB that I want out of this draft and that is Mayfield. I would give up so much just to get this one player. -
The realities of moving up. (it won't be easy)
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we have a ton of value with our 2 first rd picks. After the top 10 I don't see a talent drop off until around pick 30, there are 7 CB projected to go in the 1st round and 4 or 5 QB's. -
Please Stop With the Watson/Jackson Comparisons
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say Jackson is more comparable to Taylor over Watson. Watson is a QB that can pass the football 1st and run if need be 2nd. Taylor and Jackson are QB's that need to run the ball and make plays with athletic ability to open up the passing game. Watson should not be in the same sentence as Taylor or Jackson pertaining to passing a football. -
If you put Flacco on the Eagles he will put up numbers and can carry you to a Super Bowl. He needs the good O-Line, big WR's and he needs a playmaker TE. If you can provide Falcco with that type of talent around him he will put up very good numbers. The only thing I see with Flacco that I don't like is he plays up to his competition. If he feels like his team is not build for a super bowl run he puts is just above average effort.

Baker Mayfield and Johnny Manziel

I would trade up for the 1st pick in the draft to get Mayfield. You don't mess around with QB's, when you know there is a good one you move up and get him. I would move heaven and earth to try and get Mayfield, he will be our franchise QB for 10 years+. -
I am at the point right now where the only guy I want is Mayfield and I would do almost anything to get him. I would trade our 2 firsts this year and our 1st next year and a 2nd, 4th and a player to move up to the 1st pick and take Mayfield.

Would you trade Hughes+picks to Giants for 2nd?
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I figured his value at a low 2nd to mid 3rd. For that trade to work Hughes would need to be valued as a top 5 pick. We will need to use both 1st rd picks and more to move up to #2. -
If a young talented RB like Kamara drops to you I think you take him. I want the Bills offense to be filled with talented players.

In this years draft I think our picks hold very good value, there is barely any drop down in talent from pick 7 to 30. 7 CB's will be taken in the 1st rd and at least 4 QB's. Our two draft picks are very valuable this year and they are back to back picks. If we really like a QB we have the ammo to get him. Mayfield would be the only QB that I would trade up for. -

If Hughes has a trade value of a top 5 draft pick then your plan might work. You would need to give up both 1st rd picks and a 4th rd pick and Hughes to even get them to pick up the phone. Based on Hughes value as a late 2nd or 3rd rd pick. -
I have watched a lot of YouTube video of the top 8 QB's in this draft and watched some live college games on TV. The guy I think is a can't miss pick and has separated himself from everyone else is Baker Mayfield. I am now hoping the Bills try and get the 1st or 2nd pick to try and get Mayfield. I do think he could drop like Wilson because of height but any team that passes on him will be making a huge mistake. So in the past I have identified Wilson, Jimmy G and Derek Carr as the QB's that I most wanted from those draft classes. I am now making my all in push for Baker Mayfield, I don't go all in on QB's very often but when I have they have worked out. I watched Jimmy G in high school on the Mustangs and I watched a lot of his games at Eastern Illinois. He broke almost all of Tony Romo's passing records. To me it was a no brainer for the Bills to draft Jimmy G, I 100% knew he was going to be a great QB. This is the exact same feeling I have right now for Baker Mayfield.

I remember the 2012 draft and wanting Russell Wilson in the 1st rd. He only dropped because of his height, if you watched him play you knew he was going to be a good QB. I remember being at a Mustangs game watching Jimmy G and just being blown away. Derek Carr is another QB that I wanted in the 1st rd, I would say that all 3 of the QB's that I mentioned are better than any of the QB's in this draft. I would say there is a very good chance Mayfield, Allen and Rudolph could be there when we pick at 21.
-
He will drop out of the top 10 for sure, their are going to be around 7 CB's taken in the 1st rd. I can see Darnold and Rosen in the top 10, after that I could see us having our choice of Mayfield, Allen or Rudolph. The talent pool in this draft is very close from pick 7 to pick 30, our two 1st rd picks are very valuable this year.

Rotoworld- Giants leaning away from QB @ #2
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The draft chart stuff has to be so fluid based on the talent pool of the draft. Some years there is only 3 players that stand out as can't miss, some there are 10. This year it seems like 3 or 5 super star guys and the rest of the draft from 5 to around pick 30 seems really close based on the talent pool. -
Who's your "plate of crow" in the draft?
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Luke Falk, I know he was benched and plays in a spread offense but his accuracy, anticipation and field vision are very good. His film study is also on the level of Peyton Manning, he's in the film room all the time. He needs to work on his foot work and playing under center but I think he is a guy you can mold into a good QB. -
I doubt Beane risks both 1st round picks
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems like this year there is a lot more news about the Bills scouting QB's. I'm sure they look at all the QB's every year but it seems like the media is reporting about it more. I think moving up to the 1st or 2nd pick will cost to much but if our guy is there at pick 3 or 5 I could definitely see the Bills trading up to get who they want.
