  1. Your big takeaway from this game is to pick on Elam covering Ridley?
  2. Yeah he’s taking a lot of heat like the Jags skill players aren’t upper tier.. Lot to ask in your first game of the year
  3. Lawrence seemed to be targeting Williams and his coverage most of that half imo.
  4. Did they bench Dorian Williams for Dodson? Rotating?
  5. Why on earth would Denver trade him? Even if they were wanting to tank the season he’s still probably their most important building block on the roster. I think fantasy football has rotted some brains maybe
  6. I have expected Harris to be the guy all year. I found it weird to see him on returns and lining up at receiver. I think they’re protecting him. He’s the only guy who can do it all. Murray handles most of the physical bruising work. Cook handles most of the pass game and shotgun run. Harris is the only back who can do it all. Murray probably could but they’d just burn him out super fast with too much work. Come December if healthy I expect Harris will have a significant role
  7. I figured it was the offensive line when I first seen the quote. The biggest difference in yesterday and their other games is Tua was getting hit and didn’t have the extra second when he needed it.
  8. Miamis only cap issue more than likely is signing Tua. But when that money needs to kick in they’ll be able to get out of some of these contracts that look bad now. I still view them hovering around having to blow it all up. I view McDaniels offense like Greg Romans. Great scheme. Motion all over. Plays to the offense’s strengths and hides some limitations of the quarterback and offensive line. But the inability to expand the playbook and make adjustments means the better teams will get used to defending it and it becomes less and less effective. McDaniel hasn’t been on the job long enough to say he can’t expand more but their best performances are against the weakest defenses. Very much reminds me of the ravens offense in Lamar’s mvp year.
  9. I don’t like the push aspect. A qb sneak is already highly effective. Eagles will probably convert a similar % even if they couldn’t do the push part. I don’t like it on regular plays when the linemen run up and push the pile either. Defenses are already at such a disadvantage. Forward progress prevents the defense pushing people back. It should also prevent pushing forward.
  10. I think he was trying to smack the ball out. That’s why he totally whiffed cause Mahomes just pulled his arm back in
  11. If Vegas and New England would like to swap josh McDaniels and bill O’Brien both teams and their offenses would be much better off imo.
  12. Salehs offensive hires are what gets him fired.
  13. I wouldn’t want him on the field over anyone that’s active. They just gave up a 2nd rounder for him last year that ended up a first rounder. How bad you gotta be to burn that bridge that fast?
  14. Great game. Just great. Coordinators were A+ on the play calling. Injuries suck. But that’s a Super Bowl caliber team on the field today if they can execute at that high of a level. Kudos all around.
  15. I was just watching his hit on Tua a couple years ago where Epenesa broke him. He was in sooooooo fast
  16. I went with other, I would like to see more importance to the run game. They’ve done it the last couple but it still seems like it’s an after thought. I just think they’re built as a solid run team right now, solid defense, and the ability to shoot it out if they have to. Imo the pieces are here, they’ve had enough pieces for 2-3 years.
  17. I would not bring Daboll back. He is a phenomenal coach imo but the best move he made was bringing Kafka in to call plays over there. I was done with Dabolls playcalling and I would not enjoy seeing it return, I just wasn’t a fan. It’s no knock on him, I think he’s very intelligent at designing plays and building a playbook around his playmakers.
  18. I think Saleh is a great coach. Similar to Mcdermott though he has to depend on having a decent offensive coordinator and of course he doesn’t have josh Allen. I hope the jets do fire him, and mcd hires him immediately after that.
  19. It’s a ton of misdirection pre snap. But the key is the running backs in the flat and stopping the run. Then all you gotta do is clog the deep middle and not let waddle or hill run deep crossers all day long against you ( I know I made it sound like it’s easy 😂) Pats gave the blue print but they couldn’t stop Mostert gashing em. I’m not sure Buffalo can stop them or shut them down, everyone has to be so disciplined pre snap. The defense definitely needs to bring their A game and hit Tua when possible and try to disrupt his timing. Huge game for both teams
  20. I chalk up his limited success in Indy simply to attempts and rhythm. I’m not going to do the homework but I’d be shocked if he hit more than 15 attempts in a game more than 2-3 times in Buffalo if that. Some guys need that flow to get going. I didn’t dislike moss and I’m happy with the trade to send him to Indy, I was a big Hines fan and was extremely disappointed with his tiny usage last year
  21. I’m gonna go with Damien Harris just based on what I want to see. Murray has been more involved but I think it’s a solid week to give Damien 20+ carries and occasionally mix cook and Murray in. I highly doubt that’s the game plan but I guess that’s why this is a prediction thread 😝
  22. I really enjoyed the XFL. Continuity is key. They have started the last two times without much of a camp or preparation and play got better as the season went on. Some of the players would certainly do better if they got to be in the same system the following year. There’s plenty of guys with talent to play in the NFL, the extra coaching should be pretty valuable. I did not however watch the USFL but I would guess it’s a similar pool of talent. I enjoyed the rule changes, most of all I enjoy hearing the play calls. If you watched the Houston Roughnecks you were treated to offensive coordinator AJ Smith. Unlike the NFL coaches can talk to the entire team in the XFL and communication does not shut off so they can talk all the way to the snap. AJ smith could call the play, help line his players up, call out what he seen from the defense and what he wanted them to do if they blitzed etc etc. I found that to be extremely helpful. Like Mcvay used to do with Goff, only we get to hear it all and the headset doesn’t shut off at 15 seconds or whatever it is. I will definitely watch another season if they continue letting us listen to the coaches during the game.
  23. It’s really weird to dislike a former player this much. I say it everytime, it’s like he bad mouthed the city, was a big distraction… Nope, just didn’t live up to your expectations and cashed in on a rebuilding defense for big money.
  24. I’ll stick with my dislike of Dorsey’s in game play calling. I’m happy they played a complete game and learned some lessons. But I refuse to get too hyped over beating up on the lowly raiders with their coach who won’t even play hunter Renfrow because he doesn’t fit the scheme. That team is a disaster waiting to be put out of their misery already.
