That's what gets me. The Patriots defense was ok this season, but they looked like the best defense in football on Sunday. I don't put anything past Belichick. You can watch receivers from any team line up on a weekly basis and if they fidget with their gloves at all (pulling them tight/re-doing the strap), there's about a 90% chance it's a pass play.
