Hall Of Fame - Most deserving/Most likely

Hull, Talley, Tasker for certain. TO should make it but not as a Bill. One year, did nothing memorable or career defining while in BFLO. -
Attendance Issues in Cali and how it relates to us
yungmack replied to VaMilBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last winter's tremendous storms wrecked the work that had been done. They had to wait until all that rain stopped, then drain it, clean it out and basically start over. -
Of course not. Your lane is blame Whaley.

By halftime, most people at the local pub were watching Boise/New Mexico or the Indians, including a couple of guys with JJ Watt jerseys.

You do when the rook is this far from being NFL ready.

I'm laughing so hard my wife is looking at me strangely. But wait...what if it happens...NFL chicanery and all that. If that happens, I'm coming with you.

Attendance Issues in Cali and how it relates to us
yungmack replied to VaMilBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This exercise in false news surfaces every few months it seems. Then several people join in to "explain" the false facts. Then others present real facts (aka, the truth about the situation) and after awhile the topic dies away. Then, once again, it rises up and the cycle is repeated. As we know, this sort of thing isn't restricted to TBD but has become a pervasive feature of the American scene. Anyway here are some facts: The Dodgers and Lakers have unbelievably strong support no matter how the teams are doing. For Buffalo fans, please note that the last time the Dodgers were in the World Series was 1988. 29 years and still leading MLB in attendance. Soccer in LA has a huge following. Horse racing at both Santa Anita and Del Mar, while sliding downhill every season like horse racing in general, still tend to be among the leading tracks in attendance and handle. Believe it or not, but there are strong weekend amateur leagues for rugby, cricket and, of all things, polo. There are events for bicyclists, distance runners, surfers and who knows what else virtually every weekend. From the time the Rams entered the NFL until Frontiere took them over, the team was always among the league leaders in attendance, often leading in that category. Putting a crappy product on the field, then moving to Anaheim, most definitely affected attendance. Moving to St. Louis then back to LA, again with a crappy product. The average age of the old time Rams fans is between senile and dead. So you have to connect with new, younger fans, Maybe they can do that, maybe they can't. But to expect rapturous and automatic support is silly. The Chargers fan base in LA is virtually non-existent so why is anyone surprised at game turnout. Having among the highest prices in the NFL doesn't seem like the smartest way to garner support but then, it is the Spanos family. Besides, rabid Raider fans are much more common in LA than Rams or Chargers. Don't know what the attendance was at the UCLA/Hawaii game (now there's a real "Can't Miss" match up) or at the USC/Stanford game. But historically, UCLA and USC lead the Pac-12 in attendance and by quite a bit. An off-week might just be the result of hellacious weather and the fact that UCLA, USC, the Rams and the Chargers all played at home within roughly 24 hours of each other. Add in soccer and the Dodgers to the mishmash while you're at it, and an idiotic start time for the USC game to accommodate television. Here's an older article about Pac-12 attendance for those who are interested in that sort of thing. The most likely reason for the drop off in 2015 was that UCLA and USC weren't very good: http://www.ocregister.com/2015/12/18/ucla-falls-from-top-spot-in-pac-12-football-attendance/ Anyway, gotta run. Dart league practice (not). -
Wouldn't it be typical of them, to go out and make all those additions while secretly intending to "suck for Sam." Then get him and dominate the division for another 1 5 years. Could happen, what with Kraft's deal with Satan.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Off and Running
yungmack replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please just stop with this quibbling at the margins. So the pass was a little high and a little behind Clay. So what? That is far more the rule with every QB than the "perfectly thrown pass." The niggling on TT's "shortcomings" includes someone posting earlier in the thread that he should have gotten the ball out a 1/4 of a second quicker! What? And "the Zay was open" critics seem not to have noticed he was actually well covered...until TT committed to Clay. The defender switching to Clay is what opened up Zay. Considering the pettiness and harping on miniscule flaws, imagine he'd thrown to Zay, with a defender in front of him. The odds of a TD were low and that of an interception were high. The critics surely would be screaming that Clay was wide open and TT stinks. The guy can't win with some of you. I wonder why that is. -
Does Rick's offense really utilize "burner" WRs?
yungmack replied to BILLiever55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem so far isn't the lack of burner speed but the ability to get separation, Clay excepted. -
BILLS currently #2 Offense, #2 in Defense in NFL

And in first place. -
Deductive reasoning, my good man. When you repeatedly state the same position so vehemently, over and over, your beliefs, such as they are, are revealed to all. And this particular post indicates someone about to either break someone's face or break into sobs.

Happy 48th Birthday to SDS
yungmack replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ah youth, wasted on the young. Happy Birthday, whippersnapper. -
Vegas might be right but I think this is a very winnable game. Our offense will be effective, putting up from 24 to 35 points. The area that worries me the most is Carolina's Offense. It wasn't very good in Game 1and I'm hoping Frazier's plan for this week keeps it that way. But Olson is very good, McCaffrey is otherworldly, and Cam can wreck you with his runs. So what's the D you'd run against these guys? I think it will look a lot like the one they used against the Jets: Steady push from the front 4, holding contain, keeping Cam in the pocket and not letting him run and forcing him to rely on short passes.

Lot of Bad teams in the NFL Bills are not one of them
yungmack replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did you watch the same game as the rest of us? The Jets offense might be "offensive" but the D is still high quality and the Bills toyed with them. If Clay doesn't drop that catchable play, and the FG doesn't enter the Twilight Zone, that would have been an easy 31 points. TT was more than adequate, Shady was his usual massively good self, the line opened plenty of running lanes and did a better than average job in pass protection...Sure, they have to get better. But that was far from a worrisome performance. -

Not a perfect throw but we don't know if that's on Clay or TT. In any case, he should have caught it. -
