  1. If Beane tries that, TT's gone. There are at least 6 teams by my count that will eagerly pursue him, including one that may be a big surprise. Just look around the league and the collection of QBs starting for at least a third of the teams.
  2. Great work, Transplant. Very enlightening.
  3. Whaley didn't do contracts. Most GMs don't.
  4. Actually, they've been pretty good bringing pressure. It's the sacks that have been lacking. And there are far more knowledgeable D students - which I sure am not - around here who believe constant pressure is more important than sacks, probably because when QBs are constantly hurried, they tend to make turnovers, just as happened with JW yesterday. He easily could have two more INTs.
  5. Cordy returns and the line has its best performance of the year overall. Coincidence?
  6. Saw a stat flash across the screen on one sports show that Winston has now had 7 350+ yard games in his career. He's lost all 7.
  7. The D had a tough day against the pass but was pretty strong against the run, which has been a positive all year. And we have to also consider the toll injuries are taking. For example, Gaines and Poyer haven't been a 100% even though they've been playing. And when they're out, boy, the lack of quality depth is exposed.
  8. They kept running the replay at a slow speed. In real time, it was a fraction of second between releasing the ball and Barr, going full speed, hitting him. If they start calling that a PF, when the QB is out of the pocket and running, they should just go to flag football.
  9. Same thing is happening in Texas with high school football participation. Don't know about other states but I expect the decline is similar nationwide.
  10. You haven't followed the 12,000 threads that relied on the failure of Tyrod to regularly throw 300+ yard games to "prove" he's no good?
  11. According to Chris Brown: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-add-Seantrel-Henderson-to-active-roster/bd15fdde-fb6d-4e37-b94a-677bddbd1f09 And released Greg Mabin.
  12. And on the third hand... 1) Goff...124 yds...Win 2) Wentz...222 yds...Win 3) Flacco...180 yds...Win 4) Watson...225 yds...Win 5) Brady...257 yds...Win 6) Keenum...239 yds...Win 7) Rivers...268 yds...Win 8) Big Ben...252 yds...Win 9) Eli...128 yds(!)...Win 10) Brees...186 yds...Win (scored 52 points) 11) Palmer...283 yds...Win Common denominator? Not a 300 yard game in the bunch. The only one I recall was Cousins at 330 to Beatherd's 235...and won by only 2 points.
  13. Kupp is also way outshining Zay. Coulda woulda shoulda.
  14. The amount of idiotic rules/flags PO's plenty of fans, but that call was so egregious that even the NFL's toadies on the networks were going negative. That call in particular gives more ammo to those who believe the NFL routinely massages the game to benefit the Pats.
  15. Doom and Gloom? Don't they have a show on WGR? Or am I thinking about a couple of TBN writers?
  16. I hope you realize you are exactly the sort that Taylor is referencing.
  17. You forgot "blue collar type." "lunch box guy" for Hanson and "gifted with natural talent", "won the DNA lottery" for Lawson.
  18. But what if they do that?
  19. Chicago game. I wasn't suggesting he's not a great QB, I just wanted to point out that even one go transcendent as AR does not make the perfect decision and the perfect pass on every play, which seems to be the expectation for TT by a segment of his critics.
  20. I would add that Rodgers, the other night, was missing open receivers, sailing passes, waiting for WRs to come open, not seeing wide open WRs. And he's considered by many people to be the best QB in the league, and an all-time great. I swear to God, some of the TT critics around here act like he's the only QB who does these things. It's as if they've only ever watched Tyrod in a complete game and never watched another QB except for the highlights.
  21. Here! Here! That's the whole issue in a nutshell. Repeat after me, "Tyrod is who he is." Now go build an offense that maximizes his strengths and hides his deficiencies. Is that so difficult to do, Rico?
