  1. Kinda harsh on Peterman and Yates.
  2. According to the Bills site, it's a conditional pick so could go up or down, depending on how he plays (if he plays).
  3. If you are correct, that they got good value on those trades, then how can you call them Whaley blunders? Obviously, the party on the other end of the trade valued them high enough to offer "good value."
  4. Has it only been two months since he was hired? I dunno, seems longer to me.
  5. Surprising number of cranky people posting here today. Some seem to be suffering a delusion that they are personally on the hook for MD's money.
  6. You say you've been a fan since '83? You sure have a peculiar way of expressing it. And claiming TT "flat sucks" indicates you've not learned much about evaluating QBs in those 34 years.
  7. We're going to be happy we have him.
  8. Dude, it's the Buffalo media. They opine they don't go after a story. I mean, that's like work.
  9. I'm scrolling down and...Irv Weinstein's staring at me. Thanks for that blast from the past.
  10. Hmm. Let me think about it..... No.
  11. I was expecting you to say, "Luke, I am your father."
  12. Mahomes is looking good? So is Kate Beckinsale. So?
  13. The most annoying thing with the refs was the absence of calls on Philly for the same crappy ticky tack stuff they were calling on the Bills.
  14. This proposal is grounds for immediate dismissal from this site, from Bills fandom and from the Akashic Records.
  15. It being preseason, with new schemes, new coaches, some roster turmoil, vanilla game plans, I don't expect much in the way of evidence for either success or failure in the regular season. I am more focused on how individuals perform than the team. But a few things do bother me already. First off, the penalties, especially the idiotic ones. False starts should drop off. And PI calls are often judgment calls. But personal fouls, illegal blocks, really roughing the passer, those sorts of penalties drive me nuts because they are just plain stupid. The other thing that's a concern is what the heck has happened to Seantrel? He looks like he's just learning the game, like he's forgotten how to play. And while I'm thinking about line play, why is Ducasse still being treated as a competitor for a starting job? Whatever the coaches are seeing completely escapes me.
  16. Bills-Eagles Replay Friday 7 AM PDT on NFLN.
  17. You see, he didn't say what you first said he did about Alabama. Talking SAT scores, not intelligence. Talking program standards, not individuals. You can't believe the average 'Bama players academic qualifications are on a par with, say, the average Stanford player.
  18. In a sport - big time college football - where it's almost commonplace to hear about players arrested for rape, assaults, drug use, robbery and any number of truly serious off field behavior, this is pretty thin soup, wouldn't you say?. In reverse order: Probably golfed for free, as a guest. Didn't say what you claim he said about Alabama players. Not even close. A vulgar word about Trump? Not surprising that "regular folks" are behaving coarsely when the president himself is vulgar, loutish, sexist and racist. "What's sauce for the goose..." and all that. Inflatable hot tub in his dorm room? What's next with this kid? A coffee maker in his room? The most shocking thing about this is...he lives in a dorm room like an ordinary studens and not in off-campus digs like so many other big time athletes do (check out USC). He must be a reverse snob. No way we want someone like him in Buffalo.
  19. I realize we live in a time when our highest elected officials feel free to voice whatever crazy stuff enters their minds, no matter how false. But TBD holds to a higher standard: most here prefer to stick to facts and to be clear when just putting forth opinions and "gut feelings." So: Could you enlighten us as to what these "tons" of issues are? How about even 1 of his off field horrors? And how about a teensy bit of evidence that he's a "spoiled rich kid?" While you're doing this research to back up your so far unsupported assertions, could you also present some evidence that he's an " arrogant intellectual"? Holy cow! So now we evaluate players according to perceived political positions and not talent? No wonder America is falling to pieces.
  20. Why would you want another Favre? Gunslingers are fun for the fans but it's the steady, rather dull QBs who win multiple Super Bowls and whose teams have consistent success. Think Bradshaw, Montana, Aikman and Brady.
