If this rule applied, I would have had to call you stupid about 20 times today. In order to be more accurate, what your sentence should have said to better reflect your stance, "if you say anything that I do not agree with, I will continue to insult you like a child because I am not capable of participating in society like a civilized person"

But you don't understand, Roundy looks at the data(i.e. Googled "dow crashing because of Trump" and found the tweetable tidbit that best matched his agenda.) We would have never known that the market went down if not for him. And since we are not macroeconomics experts like him,(honorary degree in dunning-kruger studies at Google U) we are all idiots. Otherwise, we would have known that this was the last day of the market ever and that there is a 100% guarantee of failure because he doesn't like it. Now, I've expressed my own concern and stated that I do not like what happened yesterday, because it is too much too fast, but that isn't good enough for the TBD TDS TMI troll gang because you are either all in on orange man bad 100% of the time or you are a MAGA. Perfect example of TDS mentality. I did express critcism of yesterday, but since it didn't not include panic, hate and fearmongering, it wasn't good enough. That is why you are a TDS person. Edit: Looks like the fraudulent, opioid prescribing quack is still taking pot shots at me even though I blocked it three months ago.

Nope, I stated that the dems have yet to come up with something, not that "only Trump could" stop twisting my words to fit your agenda. I also explicitly said that I did not like what happened yesterday, but you conveniently must have skimmed over that part. You call me stupid, but your reading comprehension indicates a pot and kettle scenario. If you can't have a conversation without an insult then shut the hell up, sit down and let the adults talk.

MO of the online posting left. If you look at any given online discussion, on the surface it looks like 90% agree with them, but in reality, it is the same three to ten people with duplicate accounts posting over and over and over again like it is a full time job. It's even worse on places like reddit or news site forums. At least here, you know that everyone is a real person since the primary purpose of the site is for supporting a sports team.

This comment might carry some weight if the Democrat party didn't just finish a two year campaign solely focused on how bad the other guy was and still blame the past administration for things going wrong three years into Biden's term. Don't set expectations and rules for your opposition that you aren't willing to follow yourself.

These tariffs are way too much too fast. I know that Trump is banking on this resulting in negotation and better rates, but a trade war seems to be the more likely result, I do not listen to fox or CNN when deciding how a President is doing in the economy, I look at monthly expenses, retirement savings, and how my family and friends at various income levels are doing . I do not like what I have seen in the last three months, so I am not pleased about the direction with tariffs so far. What that being said, I will give it more time because it takes more than one decision to fix the mess that was created.. In case Trump's ideas fail, what does your party have to offer to address the debt if they get power back? At some point, the US is going to have to pay the piper. I would rather have that on our terms instead of on China's. What would be the left's plan to fix it? I've heard nothing from the left but "tax the rich more.", but this doesn't work as the only option because there are still trillions in debt after you've drained them and the rich know how to work around heavy taxes. What I have seen from Democrat candidates over the past 20 years are promises to the people that sound great on paper, but add trillions to the debt. The Republicans have done this to an extent too, but dems treat the US budget like a Beverly Hills teen girl on a shopping spree with daddy's credit card. Your last post added nothing to the table. If TDS people do not like what happened yesterday, great, I agree. How about offering an alternative instead of whining and saying the same exact one liners and cheap tweetable propaganda that we have seen every day since 2016? We know that you all hate Trump. My question to you or the others is what is your proposed method for turning around the economy, helping the US bring in more than they spend and stopping the cycle of increased debt?

Nothing like nice neutral poll questions from c-section 3. No slant in those at all.

I see the value of tariffs in small doses, but personally think that this is way too much too fast. We didn't get to this level of debt overnight, and it will take more than one decision or even one year of decisions to get us out. The level of success or failure for this will depend on other countries and whether they are willing to negotiate or whether they call his bluff and retaliate (I wouldn't put it past far left celebrities and extremist activists to beg other country leaders to do the latter.) If it is the first scenario, he looks brilliant, if it is not, it could create a mess and essentially guarantee democrat wins in two and four years. Since we were all told to "give it more time", three years into Biden's term, I can give it at least a couple of months before i pass full judgment.

In 2020, they said that Trump was cruel and heartless for not giving every person $6000 multiple times in a stimulus package instead of $1400. Then 3 years later, it was his fault for spending recklessly, deliberately being oblivious to the fact that it would have been worse if they got what they wanted. There is no reasoning with them.

RFK Jr: CONFIRMED Trump 47 HHS Secretary
dgrochester55 replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Exaggerated, oversimplified rhetoric and passive aggressive appeal to emotion. Typical TDS word vomit. You thought that you had a good point, but "bark bark bark" is all I heard! -

Only because the left is even more extreme. People like you make everyone else MAGA. TDS people have no redeeming qualities and nothing to offer to society. -

If you want to childishly dismiss this like a little internet troll boy if that is fine, but I will never regret looking at each issue individually instead of blindly letting the media provide your opinion like you do. Contrary to your viewpoint, there is no honor in being a mindless sheep that cannot have an independent thought. -
RFK Jr: CONFIRMED Trump 47 HHS Secretary
dgrochester55 replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No, both sides have gotten too extreme, but lefties like you are far more obnoxious and have the media backing them and trying to make the view seem like the norm. Your post was a perfect example of that. No context and an appeal to emotion. Lazy, played out an typical of both sides in 2025. I am actually center-right and miss the days when we could choose between a Republican or Democrat America instead of choosing between Gilead and 1984. -

You are "wrong" because you made a one line attention grabber sentence assuming the worst case scenario without any context to generate outrage and emotion. You would be perfect for any mainstream media outlet. Using a lazy "How am I wrong?" comment on this when you know exactly what you intended, only makes you look like narcissist and/or a far left propaganda piece. -
No story here. 19 hours is still below average for a Cory Booker rant.

Sad. Dominik Hasek is compromised….or it’s TDS
dgrochester55 replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Nope, Putin is terrible, but the other two alternatives are Ukraine get fully taken over or WW3. Do you think that every last Ukrainian soldier being defeated and Russia taking over anyway is a victory? Are you willing to volunteer and join them on the front line? If they answer is no to one or both, then maybe it is time to rethink your stance and stop letting others die for it. I remember when liberals prioritized peace. Most "supporters" for Ukraine are nothing more than virtue signaling and toeing the party line. They only care about looking trendy on social media and conformity, not the soldiers and civilians dying over there. -

dgrochester55 replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's fine if an entire country loses 80-90 percent of their male population to a war, as long as YOU can be an amazing virtue signaling champion by expressing nominal support for Ukraine! You are doing your part just as much as those soldiers because that The little Ukrainian flag sticker on your car bumper is your truth and makes the three year war all worth it, right? That is the progressive way! -

dgrochester55 replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Go ahead and keep telling yourself that. It doesn't have to be true, as long as it allows you an excuse to hate those who disagree with you. You are a brave warrior and speaking your truth is your superpower!!!. That is the progressive way! -
So overall, your opinions seem reasonable and since you are in Canada, I can understand your viewpoint much better now as Trump has not treated Canada well. IMO, Trump only got in because the democrats held on to Biden way too long despite clear signs of cognitive decline and then managed to pick the one option that was even worse than him once it was too obvious to hide it any further. I mistaking thought that you were a typical US TDS person, my apologies. I am actually moderate leaning conservative and not MAGA. We just went through four years of economic disaster where the lower and middle class are being priced out of day-to-day life. There was partisan division from a President who was clearly on the decline with a media that did nothing but gaslight about everything telling us that BIden was fine, the economy was better than ever, and that freedom of speech was great, but conservative opinions were "just too dangerous." This may be why the leash is a little longer for Trump to me that it may have been in the past. I wanted Haley to get in in the Primaries and would have settled for anyone else, but once Trump got in, I was willing to take that leap. As far as an invasion of Canada, I of course would be 100 percent against it. In addition, 80-90 percent of Americans would also be against it. I do not think that it would happen even if he tried to pull it off. There is constant resistance to Trump overall and many of the Republicans who were against him until Biden and Harris became worse would not stand for it. We also have a 25th amendment in place where a President can be removed if they become a danger or incapacitated, my trust is that out country has enough checks and balances to get rid of him (or anyone else in the future who goes rogue) if things got out of hand. My biggest pet peeve is the media in the US. You have CNN and NBCNews who question and fact check every single thing that Trump does and Fox that worships him. Neither are reasonable ways to stay informed, but al least there is now NewsNation if you want a more balanced take on tv. MAGA and TDS both bother me, but only the TDS crowd has control of the media and shoved it down our throat for eight years. That is why I came off as so fed up. The US will not get less divided and extreme on both sides until the media goes back to being news instead of Media entertainment. I hope that things can mellow out in the next few months and that Canada and the US will be on better terms again.

DEI Woke Hires > Fox News Hires
dgrochester55 replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
DEI fell out of favor for the same reason why people don't like the KKK. Most rational people hate racism no matter what race it is against. Here is a good article from a mainstream media source discussing why DEI failed. https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/voices/2024/10/25/dei-university-michigan-ford-lowes/75808534007/ -
Another display of liberal tolerance from the self admitted troll. This line stopped being cool when the Supreme court overturned the push to allow employee discrimination and internment camps based on an experimental vaccine. It was interesting how quickly the branch covidian/toxic conformity movement disappeared once people realized that they didn't have to be one of the first to challenge it anymore. However, regarding this topic, I do agree with many others that there are a large amount of more likely possibilities than the COVID vaccine for this one.
