I do not feel a particular loyalty or disdain to either. Both made many irrational threats, but the one that I referenced would put astronauts in jeopardy. Most of my coworkers are democrats and/or liberals and were just as disgusted, same with a couple of online and in person democrats that I know. Sadly, here is the only place where I have seen more people justifying it. Some things transcend partisan issues. I agree and wish that the Bills would stay neutral. I know a couple of LGBT people who do not appreciate the holiday because they want their lives to be private and think that it brings undue negative attention, so it definitely not just a conservative thing. I feel like the excessive push back from some on the right only taunts them to flaunt things as grossly as possible. I see less overall clashing than other years and it is already less in your face as it was during the COVID toxic conformity era, that is why I go by the "ignore it" strategy. I personally agree, but was posting that more as a reaction to what I saw on facebook when the bills changed the icon on the site. The lefties were much worse attacking everyone against it or even neutral with a barrage of "for us or against us" posts and personal attacks from bots and extremists, but some on the conservative side were putting way too much anger and stock into it. 100% agree that there is no excuse from the excessive flaunting and gross behavior in front of children, but the other side wants to see the anger and push back so that it can help them play the victim card. Same week that two Israel embassy members were gunned down by someone saying Free Palestine. Does anyone still think that the Palestine protestors have peaceful intentions?
