  1. I would pick Fitz over Tyrod, but Fitz and Tyrod were the two best QB's of the drought era and most watchable. To this day I would gladly take either as a backup to Allen. I think that Fitz was more endearing that Tyrod because he had the personality to go with it and was seen as a guy with limited ability playing out of his mind. it also helped his cause that we had just endured years of Losman and Edwards where 100-150 yard efforts were the norm. Quite frankly, anyone would have felt like an upgrade at that time. Tyrod on the other hand started out as a diamond on the rough, actually made the probowl his first year but stopped getting better after that resulting in many being disappointed. Fitz teams were not seen as contenders but would always put points on the board and show potential for a true upset. Tyrod led teams were less exciting on offense, but better than most drought era teams. There was at least a chance to get a wild card, but that was the ceiling. Allen has turned into the real deal and is miles ahead of either, but I always appreciated the efforts of both Fitz and Tyrod.
  2. Right now, because Mahomes is considered by many to be the best QB in the NFL and because the chiefs won a super bowl, I have to vote the Chiefs. This does not mean that it turned out bad for the Bills or set back the franchise. Buffalo needed a complete overhaul of a roster to change the culture at the time. The extra picks helped do this. The picks from the trade led to Tradaveous White, Dion Dawkins, Tremaine Edmunds and Zay Jones(cant win them all). White and Dawkins are long term players in Key positions. Edmunds could also be a long term asset if he polishes parts of his game. In addition the Bills got Allen the next year who appears to be our franchise quarterback for years to come. This is a nice contrast to the past when trading players like Marshawn Lynch and Willis McGahee led to picks that turned into nothing. Good drafting makes all of the difference. I do not think that Mahomes would have found the same success in Buffalo with the limited receiving talent that we had in 2017 and 2018 and I think that the Chiefs would have remained a marginal wild card team if they had stayed with Alex Smith and/or drafted some of the other available quarterbacks in 2017 or 2018(except maybe for Lamar Jackson). This is one of the rare trades where both teams got much better for doing it. I do not know if there will be a final answer to this until a few years from now when the careers of these players is over.
  3. Make them switch rosters with the Jets
  4. Jacksonville would barely get 20000 even if they allowed a full stadium, and Miami would be likely to have as much or more fans from the other team. Could make an impact in Tampa though and give them an unfair advantage over teams who cannot have any fans yet. Kidding aside, seems like increasing it by a few thousand every week would be more prudent. I generally favor reopening things, but also believe in common sense when doing it.
  5. Those two Rex teams underachieved and were maddening to watch in many ways, but even they were better than what we had in a long time at that point. Buffalo overall has been better from the moment that Ralph Wilson stopped running the team. It took Pegula a little bit to get the right fit, but I have a feeling that McDermott is here to stay.
  6. Daboll or anyone who coaches the Jets next has a long road ahead of them. It took Buffalo four seasons to rebuild, overhaul the team and create a winning culture. That was while inheriting a team with 7-8 win talent and having a lucky playoff run in 2017. The cupboard is bare and the morale is even lower than it was in Buffalo during most of the drought years. In addition, they are in a division with McDermott and Allen, a Patriots team that still has Bellichek and a young up and coming Miami team. Rebuilding the jets is essentially at this point working with an expansion team except there isnt the excitement of newness that an expansion team would have. Whoever takes the Jets job either has a large amount of confidence or may feel that it is their only chance.
  7. Hard to feel pity for any division rival but the Jets are a toxic mess right now. Years of bad drafting and poor choices in draft picks have taken a toll and left them with a very bad roster. Also Gase should never be allowed near a NFL locker room again. No team deserves a coach who disregards their players and puts them at risk for injury like that.
  8. I feel like Biden had nothing to say and was classless in his own way(telling Trump to shut up, calling him names four times), but Trump blew it by being too aggressive. It was the football equivalent of running an exotic scheme with heavy blitzing against a team with Nathan Peterman or Ryan Leaf as quarterback. Sometimes it is better just to dial it down and let the other side get the turnovers.
  9. It was ugly all around. Biden had nothing of substance to say and Trump interrupted way too much. Trump didnt make a concrete statement against white supremacy and Biden admitted that he was not implementing the green new deal(the lefts only concrete plan over the last four years) which will lose a lot of the extreme left. I think that both probably lost votes tonight, it is a matter of who lost more. For me personally I am undecided between Trump and Jorgenson only because I do not want the the far left running anything, but i do not feel good about the choices at all.
  10. Good 1) Allen 2) Davis 3) Williams at RT and Ford at Guard DIsappointment 1) Edmunds 2) White 3) Pass rush One thing that I was noticing is that it is not just Buffalo and that defenses across the board are giving up large amount of points so far. I wonder how much of it has to do with the unusual circumstances of the season?
  11. I would not hate this. Allen and Darnold train together and are friends so it might be a good situation for both. A change of scenery might save Darnolds career and it would likely be an upgrade over Barkley for Buffalo
  12. If anyone wants to feel better, go to the Jets message board. It reminds me of the Bills boards about ten years ago. Quotes include "Start Flacco", "Darnold is worse than Sanchez", "Thursday's game against denver is for the #1 draft pick" and my personal favorite "I wish we had Rex Ryan again". Really helps with perspective.
  13. I am seeing this in a better light than I was right after the game. We are 3-0 and beat a team that was in the superbowl two years ago. This was a game that could have been a disaster but they found away to win and Allen brought them back like a star QB. I am still a little worried about the defense with the teams that we must play this year, but hopefully this was more the Rams having a good offense than Buffalo having a bad Defense.
  14. Not me, I am happy to see the Bills at 3-0 and think that they are a contender. I just saw some things that concerned me.
  15. Meanwhile, the Jets are off to a good start in their quest for Trevor Lawrence with a Darnold pick six.
  16. Buffalo is lucky to win this. Hopefully the coaching learns from their mistakes before it costs them.
  17. Wow, we got lucky. Buffalo needs to clean things up before their more challenging games happen
  18. I also will admit that I was not on board at first. I remember watching him on TV in college in that infamous Wyoming vs Iowa st game in college. I honestly knew almost nothing about him and he turned it over multiple times, they talked about him being a first round prospect. I remember laughing and saying to my friends watching with me, "great, watch the Bills pick this guy". I was resigned to another bust when he was picked but I gave him a chance. Even then, I truly thought that at best it would be a project that took years. He has exceeded my expectations from the beginning when playing and I am proud to say that I was 100 percent wrong
  19. 600 yards next week or it's Barkley time
  20. Miami's offense is just good enough to exploit the loss in linebackers, so I do not think that this will be easy. Miami keeps it close, but Buffalo pulls ahead in the 4th quarter of a game that will be high scoring. Buffalo 38-27
  21. I like who we have now at wide receiver, but he was the one that I do not think that we should have let go. He played well when he was here but seems to fit better on LA with the Rams. Nothing but respect for him and I am glad to see him do well(expect for in week 3).
  22. What I like about this team is that they had that game in their control the entire time despite a good amount of missed opportunities and mistakes. If they can clean things up, they will be a true contender this year.
  23. I dont know where to begin since I have seen nothing from either team since last year. I am going predict that Buffalo comes out of the gate roaring followed by the Jets getting momentum later in the first half and keeping the game close until the 4th where Buffalo pulls ahead and wins. 23-13 Bills
  24. Singletary in the 4th rd in one league(rb heavy league), none on the other. Allen is a poor man's Lamar Jackson for fantasy and I would have snagged him in both, but he went a lot earlier than I expected. Hunt was another consideration, but people were reaching for him. I like Diggs, Brown and Beasley in real life, but in fantasy with the depth at WR, they dont seem to be any more than plug in plays.
  25. Regarding UDFA's, unless we sign Turk, I think that the team is deep enough where I doubt anyone that we signed makes it farther than the practice squad
