Fully aboard the WR train for this draft, but if Coop is there at 32 idk if I’d be able to pass on that kind of talent at another position of need. That being said we have been pretty good at corner even without Tre, and WR/S/DL are (in my eyes) much bigger needs. Not to mention how much production we typically get out of our later round d-backs… it looks more like a luxury pick the more I think about it, but the kid has a lot of talent you have to consider.

A few things to remember: 1. Peterman actually looked competent in preseason yes, it’s true. I think you’d have to draft one currently as we can’t sink an excessive amount of money to a backup position due to cap limitations. If Josh misses a week or two we might survive, but any sort of long-term absence is a nail in the seasonal coffin. Better to suck and get a good draft out of it than finish with 8 wins and miss both the playoffs and elite draft talent. We’ve gotta win the Super Bowl this year first, so we can worry about this in April 😏

I have a feeling DaQuon might stay here. Buffalo is closest to his home in the Southern Tier and the team seems to be a good fit. I can’t say much but I work in the same building as a family member of his and she says he loves it here. I *might* have known he was coming back a few days before it was public but was sworn to secrecy. Beane will likely have to make a choice between Floyd and AJE. One is great but getting older, the other is having a solid contract year. Both are great this season, but the risk/reward is hard to gauge. Rousseau will get his 5th year option worst case scenario. I am confident once we can shake some old contracts we can get him paid. Like it or not we are paying for Von next year, so we have to hope he is back to his normal standard of playing. Not getting out of his contract until after next season to minimize his cap hit.
