  1. Winning a SB is the goal every season, that's not what you asked. If you don't want others opinions why ask the question? Nevermind you weren't the guy who originally posted this, I read it wrong but it's still my answer.
  2. Any WR at this point.... I think it would really hurt Gabriel Davis' production who I think is ready to become a star in this league. He looked like he belonged most of those games he played and learning from Diggs is a bonus also.
  3. I just meant in general, he's a heck of a player. Had he not opted out for the season I think he would have been a first round lock imo. Not sure of his projection this year. It's hard to say with a bunch of these guys opting out.
  4. I'd more or less want to know where his heads at, he has so much less miles on those tires then his peers that have been playing all these years but sometimes being mentally tired can be just as bad. 5 sacks after being out of football for 4 seasons isn't terrible, I wonder what his asking price is.
  5. San Fran is a QB and healthy team away from a SB, Giving up the firsts only hurt if the QB doesn't pan out, if they're a playoff/SB contender yearly do you think they care much about those picks other than cheaper replacements for the future. If you have a great scouting department then you should also be able to hit on players in the later rounds like the Matt Milano's of the world imo.
  6. There is a common misconception that's been debunked many times over, Tom Brady never took a pay cut, they extended his contract to where he got guaranteed money which lowered his salary cap total so the Pats could sign more players, he never took a pay cut but he may have signed with the Patriots for a few million less than other teams would pay. Not sure because he always signed back with the Patriots before his contract was up accept for this past year of course.
  7. I'd say that in this scenario Jaelin Phillips would be the selection. They put big money into C Mitch Morse in FA 2 seasons ago who clearly had concussion issues, I'd say so far they're happy with him. I'm sure if they select him Phillips would have been checked out extensively by our medical staff. There is no way of telling if he'll have a complete career due to his injuries but you shouldn't pass on a player of his caliber if he passes all medical concerns by the staff, at 1 point he was a consensus top 10 pick so it's not about talent imo.
  8. True but I didnt really see him do a whole lot at TE other than add another sleeper like Hollister to the mix. Not that he couldn't draft another on draft day but it didn't look they were even interested in any of the bigger names. Definitely giving up too early, the TE position is a tough one, you need to not only learn the playbook but be an effective blocker and if he wasn't very involved at Ole Miss imagine coming into the NFL and having to this against guys at the highest level and on many plays he looks like he's on the same level as these guys. I have a feeling you're going to see a very motivated Dawson Knox this season, I doubt they signed Hollister to be our #1 TE but a good depth signing for sure as I really like Hollister.
  9. Would love to see him in a Bills uniform. Yeah it's starting to look that way, maybe more guys will also be available aftr the draft as well.
  10. Yeah I believe he was hurt last season again but I agree, Ingram when healthy is a nasty individual that I'd definitely want on my defense.
  11. I would think either a low level sleeper edge rusher or a big name one left might still be in play here. The fact that 3 still remain is interesting to me ... Melvin Ingram, Justin Houston and Clowney would all be an upgrade imo. I just don't see how we don't get an edge rusher either in the draft, FA or both.
  12. I definitely would not give up on Dawson Knox yet, were always trying to replace guys that look promising, not really sure what the deal is with that. Dawson barely saw action in that Ole Miss offense coming out of college, the guy has shown glimpses of being a really dominant TE at times, I think it's going to take him a bit longer to develop since he didn't have the reps of alot of these other tight ends. I'm still interested to see what Knox brings to the table because I think his best football hasn't been played yet imo.
  13. I don't think it's edge rusher or bust.... I want a pass rusher for sure but to bump a 2nd round value at 30th overall doesn't make much sense. If there is a CB/RB/OL/ LB who falls down the draft there is no reason not to draft that position, maybe they don't see an edge rusher of value until round 3, I just hope that player makes some type of positive impact in year 1. That's all you can hope for with these prospects but if you go into the draft thinking we have to select an edge rusher at all costs then that's how teams fail in the draft imo, take the best available player who can help your team within reason.
  14. I know many on the board think Jadaveon Clowney is overrated and will be over paid. Overrated, perhaps and everyone is overpaid usually in FA but I like Clowney because even if he doesn't get to the QB regularly he's very stout against the run which is a bonus imo. The other veteran I like is Justin Houston, he's still a solid presence on the field. In the draft I really like Jaelan Phillips from Miami, if he can stay healthy, he's had multiple concussions which is always a concern but is a tremendous talent and could probably help this team right away imo.
  15. Yeah how's that going for us? What sacks are others getting? I've hated the Star pickup from the get go and he doesn't equate to the price tag, we still get destroyed in the run game with him in there and the sack totals since he's been on our team haven't been astonishing imo. Epenesa by himself isn't the reason but as a 2nd rounder even with the weight loss, 1 sack isn't acceptable.
  16. Good depth signing for sure. I still think Dawson Knox is a star in the making and hasn't even come close to hitting his ceiling yet. He was barely used at Ole Miss and we've seen glimpses of how good he can be and now just has to do that consistently.
  17. Both would be ideal. Epenesa 1 sack Ed Oliver 3 sacks Jerry Hughes 4.5 sacks Mario Addison 5 sacks Vernon Butler- Harrison Phillips-Star Louteleiei- Justin Zimmer- 1 sack between all of them (Star was out the year but I doubt he would have made an impact there) This is unacceptable... Epenesa 1 sack as a 2nd rounder, he needs to be more impactful. Hughes 4.5 sacks the past 2 seasons is not even close to good enough. This has to be priority 1 right now I'd think.
  18. Get him on a 1 year deal if you have to, this would be an excellent compliment to Tre White. Still need pass rush, pass rush and more pass rush.
  19. Ford needs to show tremendous improvement to think he'd be blocking for Allen anytime soon. He was definitely a weak link last season. You'd think a guy that big wouldn't get body slammed the way he did at times. Hopefully he did a whole bunch of technique work in preparation for the up coming season.
  20. You can repeat this over and over and I will show you a million different scenarios.... Both SB NYG Vs. Pats, Tampa bay SB with Sapp, Simieon Rice, Derrik Brooks etc., Ravens 2000 defense. It's not just a fad, it's a necessity to have a pass rush. Why would you argue that? Not really understanding the argument that you are clearly losing.
  21. Tom Brady didn't harass Mahomes all game long, maybe after the game was over who knows. With no pass rush it will be hard to compete against those top teams, which is why Mahomes tore us up.
  22. I agree totally with you. I don't think it's panic mode just yet but we need not just a situational pass rusher but a guy who can take this defense over the top. Clowney to me is the only guy left with that ability, whether he uses it or not is beyond anyone but worth taking a 1 year flier imo. We also need a legit corner across from White, these are some pretty tough areas of need to fill. I believe in Beane but players are definitely dwindiling down especially at CB 2. I like Brashaud Breeland, Xavier Rhodes and Malcolm Butler.
