  1. An expensive backup plan who's bound to cost way too much for his value in terms of both finances and trade capital... Yeah... no....
  2. I'd be generally okay with McCown if we got him fairly cheap, but I think he'll go back to the Jets for another year now. I don't want Foles or McCarron. I want Mayfield/Rosen/Darnold. Or Andrew Luck.
  3. Who cares? If the option is to trade into the top 5 for one of the top 3 QBs in this draft OR trade for Foles, why would anyone choose the latter???? As long as McDermott and Beane don't think Allen is worthy of a top 5 pick, ignore Foles, get a QB like Savage/Moor/Anderson and draft Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen and just let him roll under center from the start of the season.
  4. I disagree. I don't want McCarron, Foles, or McCown because all will be fairly expensive and I want our rookie to start right away, unless it's Allen (GOD PLEASE NOOOO!!!!)... in which case, get McCarron or Foles who could start for a couple years potentially.
  5. Good! I didn't want him. My only worry now is that we're going to be left without a serious viable starting QB because we're obviously drafting a guy. That might cause other teams to leverage us as we try to move into the top 5, which is clearly what we're doing.
  6. Hope it's cheap... he's only starting for a year at best. And I really really hope this isn't a sign we're going after Allen.
  7. Yessssss!!!!! Championship!!!! No... seriously :flirt:
  8. Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen and Jackson can. Luckily, I'll put money down on us drafting one of those 4 guys
  9. Understood and generally agree... except when it comes to Josh Allen. Drafting him terrifies me. If we do, I'll eventually get behind it as long as we have a good vet to start for a year. Still, we can have our preferences... Mayfield Darnold Rosen Jackson Rudolph ...in that order for me
  10. Good.. he's probably getting way overpaid.
  11. Meh... okay... but I'm more inclined to get a sub par Matt Moore who's going to be uber cheap to back up Mayfield or Darnold when we draft him so we can invest our money elsewhere... like OL & WR.
  12. I hope so He's my #2 Me too!!! But in the opposite order
  13. Humber, Jones, and Ducasse didn't play nearly as big a role in making the playoffs as Taylor did. That much is obvious and trying to make it seem like they did is just dumb. Taylor is gone. He played the most important individual position on the Buffalo Bills team that finally broke the longest playoff drought in North American sports. He obviously gets a helluva lot more credit for helping break that drought than an LB who started like half the games this year, a pretty crappy guard, or a WR who touched the ball on a whopping 2.6% of the team's total offensive plays. That was a helluva great comparison, though
  14. If you're trying to move on, why don't you just stop this fruitless endeavor of talking about him with others? The only vestige of a surprise... too funny... What they got for Taylor was utterly shocking... especially with the value people assumed Taylor had. McDermott and Beane have made all the right moves. They clearly wanted to upgrade over Taylor, but with a clear and obvious upgrade and not at "any cost whatsoever" as some painted it. The Bills got the 1st pick in the 3rd round for Taylor and with the Cordy Glenn trade, as well, it's clear Beane and McDermott have that upgrade in mind and they're damn well going to make sure it happens. This move was really a win win for all parties involved... one of those rare deals that truly becomes that. But based on what Buffalo was expected to get for Taylor, this was an absolutely stellar move and total no-brainer on Beane's behalf.
  15. Rosen's injury history seriously concerns me, but most of all, I question his character, love for the game, and ability to be a leader of men. I realize you might just be dismissive of those concerns, but I think those things really matter for QBs. I won't hate us drafting him, but I'm going to be a little apprehensive.
  16. Okay hang on a second... so is that right that we traded Glenn, moved up 9 spots in the first round to #12 and gave Cincy our 5th and got their 6th? Holy crap this is getting wild and crazy folks!!! Makin moves!!! Pretty clear McDermott and Beane are truly going all in on drafting our Franchise QB!!! Or could it be possible these are efforts to clear up Cap space to sweeten the pot for Kirk Cousins by also pointing to all our draft picks to build around him? Just... for God's sake.... please DON'T let it be Josh Allen!!!
  17. Draft only or draft and vets? Draft and vets it would be: 1) Luck 2) Brees 3) Mayfield 4) Cousins 5) Darnold 6) Rosen Draft only it would be: 1) Mayfield 2) Darnold 3) Rosen 4) Jackson 5) Rudolph 6) Anyone but Allen
  18. Yeah... all ONE of them we've had this millennium
  19. I think everyone knows how we got into the playoffs. Success!!! Drought broken! And now onto finding our Franchise QB and getting a ring!
  20. Yes. It is. And it was. So agrees the message board.
  21. Yep, you're right, the team made the playoffs for the first time in 17 years with Tyrod Taylor at QB... not something a long list of QBs since Doug Flutie couldn't do, including Rob Johnson/Kelly Holcomb/Drew Bledsoe/JP Losman/Trent Edwards/Brian Brohm/EJ Manuel/Thad Lewis/Jeff Tuel/Kyle Orton. You can argue that sets the bar low. It absolutely does. But we got the playoff monkey off our back and Taylor was a big part of that. So yes, success. Moving on...
  22. There were reports out of the combine from anonymous GMs that he was the guy blowing teams away in the interview/film room process.
  23. Dude... we broke a 17 year playoff drought. Of course it was... duuuuuuhhhhhh.....
