  1. I see you still love trolling me. I heart you, too
  2. Yeah... kinda hinted at that myself at the end of the post. Josh looks more emotionally and mentally tough than EJ, though. He also looks like a much more natural thrower of the football. And a better leader. But who knows?
  3. Isn't the New York Daily News the equivalent of the National Enquirer? Who cares?
  4. What I'm saying is that if their plan was to draft a QB in that draft, whoever their QB may have been, the choice to draft a QB or keep Fitz weren't mutually exclusive. We could have done both. There was no reason to let Fitz go. Manuel probably never would have had it in him to be a viable NFL starting QB. He's just too emotionally and mentally frail. I agree with you there. I think Trent Edwards had a better chance to be a Franchise QB than Manuel if he didn't get knocked the !@#$ out by Adrian Wilson in Arizona. But those chances would have at least increased if he sat behind a smart, tough vet like Fitz and, at worst, we could have just kept playing Fitz.
  5. Whoever said that is an idiot.
  6. Absolutely agree on the Fitz thing. We could and should have kept Fitz at his reasonable contract and we STILL could have drafted Manuel in the 1st. And at that point at least Manuel wouldn't have been forced to play... unless that damn mat would have just hunted Fitz down somehow the way it did Kolb. Speaking of which, that choice of Kolb was a really underwhelming vet to bring in, anyway... kinda like AJ McCarron this year
  7. There is. And you haven't posted in it at all. Did you just need attention?
  8. So instead you thought a snarky title and a post about a player not on the team anymore filled with prose that is the literary equivalent of diarrhea would be better? If you didn't want to talk Bills football anymore, we have not just one, but two recent Bills QBs playing in the NFL. You could have gone the route of talking about the great career start Fitz has been having and how that PC he put on was hilarious and how Fitz is still Fitz. But no, instead you decide to be a downer and start a thread about someone not on the team for no reason at all but to gloat about something that's really not even warranted considering the 0-16 team the Browns were last year and the 2 teams the Browns have played probably better than for the first 2 weeks this year, save the worst NFL kicker in the history of the game. Soooo… that's the kinda guy you are... You must just be a hoot at parties.
  9. I only had to look at who started this thread to know how sad and pathetic it would be. Aren't you a Bills fan? Move on.
  10. I was thinking the same thing about both of Allen's interceptions. I was actually just so friggin impressed he was even able to stay upright and get the ball out on the 1st interception that I didn't care he threw it to the other team. He'll learn to throw those away. Or in some cases he'll actually shrug off the defender and make those plays positive plays, instead. Same thoughts for the 2nd Interception. I'm glad Dabol dialed up a throw like that from the end zone. I really didn't like Dabol's playcalling as the game began. It was obvious he was trying to protect Allen. Only as the game got out of hand did Allen get to really throw it around and did the offense move. Why does that always seem to happen? I hope Dabol and Allen are in each other's ears all week and they're figuring out how to incorporate more RPOs or something to make the offense more explosive from the beginning of the game rather than waiting until we're down by multiple TDs before opening up. I'm still pretty excited about the rest of the season, actually. Now that Allen is starting and hopefully McDermott retains defensive playcalling duties, I still think we can make some serious noise.
  11. Won't go so far as you, but I think this team is starting to figure stuff out and I think we'll be at least highly competitive Sunday. I hope the combination of McDermott calling the plays along with maybe Allen and Dabol coming up with some stuff that Allen is more comfortable in running (more RPOs?) can propel us to a W. Yes, definitely a chance at maybe a W What the hell! I'm in... what could go wrong???
  12. This is probably the reality here and hopefully Frazier is on board.
  13. It's 7 AM in Hawai'i and I'm drinking coffee. Too early for the hooch... usually
  14. I don't gamble. Yes, I really believe that. People need to simmer down. The NFL is so damn week to week it's insane. McDermott has this team heading in the right direction. But sometimes for every 2 steps forward, you have to take 1 step back before moving forward another couple steps.
  15. At least 8, if you're asking for my opinion.
  16. No. The Bills aren't "sacrificing" anything. McDermott and Beane are building long term, but they clearly care about the now, too. We were 1-1 last year after 2 games in a playoff season, now we're 0-2 after 2 games and our last half of football looked like we started figuring something out. We're going to be the butt of a lot of jokes nationally for the next few weeks, but it's clear to me that the part of what Joe B says in the "they knew this was coming" are growing pains with a rookie QB of the offense and Defense... and now toss in McDermott relinquishing Frazier of playcalling duties for the defense. The team is learning and adjusting and trying to get better. And they will. We're going to win some games, folks.
  17. I think we're very competitive next weekend. I wouldn't say we win, but I wouldn't rule that out. But that spread is just too big. Yes, I watched both games. It's a shame McDermott is having to adjust so much right now rather than having things perfectly in place, but last week's game was figuring out that his initial QB decision was wrong. This week was about Defense. I think McDermott continues calling Defensivelyfrom now on and the D rallies a little around Lorax and Kyle who are likely already pointing at Davis's quitting as something that's not part of the culture of the Buffalo Bills. The 2nd half today was a completely different half from the previous 3 halves this team has played. I think there's rollover. And I think Allen's promising start today is going to serve as a further rallying point for the team. I hope Dabol gets a little more creative than what he did particularly in the 1st half and gets Allen moving around quite a bit more. Go get Josh Gordon and steal 1 of our next 2 games!!! 1-3 at the quarter mark going into the softer part of the schedule isn't so bad
  18. Ironic? I blindly love the Bills. That's my tribalism. The last 4 QBs who played for the Bills (Edwards, Fitz, Manuel, Taylor) I also liked to varying degrees for different reasons. The degree to which I liked each QB is different and it was never the kind of unwavering loyalty and devotion to each QB you could qualify as tribalism, despite the rather demented perspective otherwise from some around here who, I think, enjoy trolling me--I'm a big boy and can deal with that. I didn't like Losman as a QB and really hated Peterman as a QB, but rooted for both. I think it's pretty obvious most here will cling for dear life to whatever public presumptions they have here. Tribalism it is.
  19. Holy crap... strong words from Lorax here. Davis retired?! Does Cleveland need a CB? Maybe we can convince Davis to go to Cleveland in part of a package to acquire Josh Gordon.
