FIRE Daboll ASAP
transplantbillsfan replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This post is nearly the equivalent of the idiotic Bills fan sitting across from me in the bar today saying he was going to start a petition this week to start Peterman. Wait.... no.... I'm sorry.... As dumb as this post is--and it's dumb--the guy who said to start Peterman was MUCH dumber. -
What would Bills record be if AJ was qb?

0-4 AJ wasn't very good. -

Will the Bills ruin Josh Allen?
transplantbillsfan replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree that a QB can't be ruined. There are tons of factors that go into the development of a QB that has nothing to do with the QB himself. That said, I don't think it happens with Allen because I think McDermott is going to do as good as he possibly can to mitigate all the other circumstances... and as much as some of his moves and decisions have been a bit suspect, I generally trust McDermott. -
Will the Bills ruin Josh Allen?
transplantbillsfan replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look on the bright side, if Allen keeps his composure and can make it through the year guiding us to some wins and improvements, there's nearly no doubt he has the mental, emotional and physical makeup to be our Franchise QB Of course he can be ruined. Happpened to David Carr. I think it's going to take a helluva lot more than a few games in a season for that, though. I also think he's stronger than Carr was and the rules favor the offense and QB more. As for ruining him, McDermott and Daboll are responsible for making sure that doesn't happen. -
Bills vs. Packers Post Game Thread

I thought there were multiple blatant holds the refs didn’t call the Packers on today. Officiating favors the victor, I guess. -
Q: for the outraged:

Me too. This is clearly a team discovering themselves. -
Q: for the outraged:

Our next 4 games are the Titans, Texans, Colts and Patriots on MNF. I think 2-2 at least happens there, maybe better. Back half of the season is 5 home games. This season is going to consist of a lot of ebbing and flowing with some of the young guys at critical positions we have. -

I still think we get into the playoffs. -
Q: for the outraged:

No one should be outraged. 2-2 in our first 4 games to start the season would have been impressive given our schedule. 1-3 is just fine as we move into the easier portion of the season. -
Is Allen the Starting QB No Matter What?
transplantbillsfan replied to Billsfanatic8989's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. All season. Barring injury. Period. Starting Peterman at all was one of the dumbest moves in NFL history. And McDermott has done it multiple times. It's baffling that so many fell for the mirage of preseason... TWICE!!! Allen's our QB. God I hope he doesn't get injured ? -

McDermott not pleased with WRs in practice
transplantbillsfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our WRs have been terrible through 3 games. Foster, KB and Clay each dropped 1 or 2 passes in the Vikings game alone. Very disappointing because I thought they couldn't get worse from the last couple years. The good news is that they're getting open and Allen's getting them the ball. Now they need to learn how to catch. -
Met the mother of a current Bill this week
transplantbillsfan replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good stuff! The first couple weeks were a good time to be off the grid and sounds like you came back about the right time. I actually sat next to Siran Neal's brother week 2 watching the game. He's a Jags fan so he showed up late because that was the week the Jags played the Pats. Good guy. Said he'd be back and I saw him again on Sunday, but he was sitting in a different part of the bar. Minor thing, but Neal's name is pronounced SiRON, not SiRAN. -
Just ahead of Trubisky and CJ Beathard. Pretty funny. I think it's pretty clear the national pundits and experts are going to be really really stubborn about Allen. He had the best showing on Sunday out of Darnold/Mayfield/Rosen and has showed progress in each game he's played. The moment he has a bad game--which will happen-- he's going to be crucified. When he plays really well, like he did last Sunday where his stats were only relatively "mediocre" (and is a 69% completion with 3 TDs and 0 turnovers really mediocre???) was because we got out to a huge lead in the 1st half and completely let our foot off the gas pedal in the 2nd half. (Wasn't there something about Allen's 1st half being the best half by a rookie in years by some measure?) There will be a few national pundits who embrace Allen, but they're guys who have embraced him early, like Schrager and Adam Schein. Everyone else will firmly hold onto the fact that Allen will fall apart, and when it looks momentarily like he has, he'll be pounced on. And when he has a really good game, it'll probably be glossed over and they can easily do it because he just plays for Buffalo.

Bills' Fan Gets an Allen Hurdle Tattoo

Davis wasn't some easily forgotten rookie. He was one of our "big" FA acquisitions. A 9 year vet and recent 2 time pro bowler. He was supposed to be our answer at our #2 CB. I'm sure his attitude was one foot out all Summer and you're probably right that the Bills players aren't all that upset to see him go, but it's naive to think it's lost on them that a this is an occurrence that really rarely (or never...?) has happened in NFL history and it happened to them.
