  1. All those shows are good to excellent. I hope Disney picks them up on their streaming site. As of now I'm on the fence about paying for their streaming service when it finally comes out. If those shows were renewed and moved their, I would definitely pay for it.
  2. Boy, don't read the entire thread, but at least read the OP rather than just the title I don't care about college careers. Allen is an NFL QB now, and now he's pretty much as accurate--if not more in a couple cases--than all the other 2019 rookie QBs along with the ROOKIE VERSIONS (I explain why I do this in the OP... go read it) of Watson and Wentz. BigDingus.
  3. Well,I haven't looked at all QBs in the NFL, so I can't give any feedback with regard to the other NFL QBs, but it doesn't surprise me that Allen is ahead of Rosen and Jackson.
  4. First of all, of course some of the accuracy issues can be pinned on Allen, just as they can be with absolutely any other QB in the NFL. I don't have a big gripe with their number considering I had a number of 21.9%. Less than 2% of a difference is no biggie to me. Completely disagree with the "league high" comment. I actually think that's irresponsible of them, especially since there seems to be a general lack of transparency as I click that link and find no path to where the other QBs rank. Blindly trust that lack of transparency if you want. Or cross-check the numbers like I suggested. I've rewatched Allen 3 times now. I decided to cross-check my numbers rather than start on Dak. I feel good about my numbers for all QBs I've listed.
  5. Now you're just being obstinate. The way I determined catchable vs. uncatchable was by watching the play and seeing if the ball hits or could reasonably hit the palm of one of the WR's outstretched hands. If it could, I labelled it catchable because you see guys make one-handed catches all the time. If a guy doesn't turn his head for the pass and therefore doesn't stretch his hands out or if he falls while the ball is mid-air, then I admittedly had to make judgment calls, which is part of the reason I was hoping extreme skeptics like you would give this a try. If the ball, instead, hits a WR's outstretched fingertips, it was labelled uncatchable. There were judgment calls on my part, for sure, but a lot fewer than you'd think and those judgment calls are usually relatively easy to make.
  6. Did someone hijack Thurm's account? Doesn't sound like the usually thoughtful--albeit occasionally acerbic and sarcastic--poster I've come to know and love over the years. Mother time is giving out a beating, perhaps?
  7. Why? That sounds like a perception thing more than anything, to me. This would be for a different analysis that I'm just not going to do, but if, hypothetically, my comparison between Allen and the rookies were changed to Allen and all NFL QBs and it yielded the same results--again, not saying that it would, just speaking hypothetically--finding that Allen throws pretty much the same percentage of catchable passes as all QBs across the NFL, then why would it matter that some of his misses were more wild and off target than other QBs and why would it prevent him from being a bona fide Franchise QB, despite throwing with pretty much the same accuracy? Can't surf all the time. My alabaster skin wouldn't be able to handle it. Don't worry, I live the Hawaiian life very well
  8. Those bastards. I really hope the Disney streaming service picks them up.
  9. Fantastic post and observations Gunner! And I think I mention this in the OP, but I'll say it here again. Of all the 2019 rookies, Allen is definitely the one who threw the most wildly head-scratchingly inaccurate throws. But there really just weren't many of those, and all the other QBs had their fair share of them. And after going through Wentz, I actually think Wentz had as high a percentage of those wildly head-scratchingly inaccurate throws as Allen. But as I said before, does it matter if those throws happen if they're very infrequent and the vast majority of the rest of the time you're throwing a pass that can/should be caught?
  10. Is this good? I started it with the wife and in-laws, but we were all a little distracted and only made it like 20 minutes in. I know that's not enough time to give to a show, but it wasn't grabbing my attention at that point. It gets good? Thor Ragnorok was the one Marvel movie I can almost say I disliked. It was completely tone deaf from the Thor character and the previous Thor movies. Such a pity 'cause Cate Blanchett was her usual awesome and supremely sexy self.
  11. I'm looking forward especially to that Loki show, but I seriously hope Disney/Marvel and Netflix resolve whatever issues they need to in order to get all the Marvel shows that were on Netflix over to that streaming site. Daredevil and The Punisher were, by far, my favorite shows on Netflix outside of Stranger Things.
  12. Some "Black Mirror" episodes are fantastic (Nosedive, White Christmas, USS Callister), but there are others that are just awful. The National Anthem is like the worst start to a series ever. I don't consider myself a prude at all, but there was just something in that episode that was completely unnecessary and repulsive. That said, honestly, other than that episode I think most are at least watchable, if not really good. Though I still haven't gotten around to "The Waldo Moment" or "Hated in the Nation," yet. Jon Bernthal is just so damn perfect in the role. I hope they make a season 3 just because he's awesome. I liked him on The Walking Dead, too. I don't know why anyone would dislike the 2nd season of The Punisher. It's just what it's supposed to be, and the actor in the role couldn't be better.
  13. I dunno. Jackson has a delivery that really reminds me of Tebow. He's going to last a lot longer than Tebow because he's just so much more athletic, but I just think there's a lot of work to be done on his upper body mechanics, which are just awkward. But who knows, he's been getting away with it because of his athleticism for so long. It could last another 5-10 years.
  14. I thought the Cardinals were trying to give Rosen guys who could catch?
  15. No. Your previous complaint about my catchable vs. uncatchable pass % for Allen and the other 2019 rookies when you said If you'd broken it down, giving totals for each game for instance, it would've been easy for someone on these boards to check a game or two and see if your per game totals were on target. But as is your method, you don't provide details - no gross numbers, no game by game breakdowns, no nothing except your percentage conclusions - making checks all but impossible. Thanks for the effort. If you'd given a reasonable chance to check, I'd have done so. But you never do, though I've asked before and it wouldn't have required much extra effort. It's not surprising you're not now. Which leaves no choice but to point out that as you yourself point out, you're a huge Josh Allen fan and you're disagreeing with everyone else who did the work. Their work is just more believable, as they don't much care how the tallies come out. I genuinely thought you'd give it a try. Since then, I've added Watson and Wentz Allen remains #2 out of 7 other QBs in terms of throwing passes that are catchable after you exclude throwaways. Tyrod? What the hell are you bringing Tyrod up for? You obsessed with him or something? You write like 4 paragraphs on the original topic of accuracy, all of which I was disagreeing with and it had been talked to death in the thread I referred to right above, which was why I responded with a simple "nope." Yet, you assume I'm referring to the 7 irrelevant words you throw in at the end? You obsessed with Tyrod or something...?
  16. The last week has been cold because of a rare Kona low weather system. The other day it was only 70 decrees at noon. I actually got a cold for the first time from the weather... probably doesn't help that I surfed for 6 hours in it, though.
  17. Soooo... you just felt like chiming in with an irrelevant comment? You and Foxx must be super tight.
  18. It's actually a different kind of eyeball test here with regard for Allen we're talking about... a more objective one than the wildly subjective "he just looks the part." That said, he looks the part, too. I'm surprised you're so steadfast in your pre-draft feelings on Allen. How much did you know about Allen before the draft? How much did you watch of him playing? The biggest reason I did such a 180 on him in the days following the draft is because I took the time I hadn't taken before the draft researching him and watching him play as much as possible. I freely admit my feelings on Allen were almost entirely formed on analytics and history. I just didn't honestly think we'd draft him, so I didn't bother really doing a deep dive. Then we did, and I was furious. Obviously I got over it and understand completely the trade up to 7 to get him and feel it was warranted, so much so that I wish we just gave him the reins right away back in training camp. And then the season happened and Allen so often looked like Atlas holding the weight of the offense on his shoulders. And he looked like he was throwing the ball where he wanted it to go a lot more consistently than I was reading and hearing in the national media and somewhat here. And that's why I did the study. I wish skeptics like you and Thurm and Cornellius would bother trying yourself to see how wildly your numbers disagree with mine, since that's what you guys seem to assume.
  19. I know what PFF did. I even cite it in the OP. I did my own study that's been going on since season's end and covered every single pass of 7 highly regarded rookie QBs, past and present. And my own findings are simply this: If Josh Allen was inaccurate as a rookie, so we're those 6 other QBs I looked at, and Rosen and Wentz (after his 1st 4 games) were very inaccurate.
  20. We only have one TE in Croom on our roster right now. I gotta believe we'll trade back from 9 and use one of (hopefully) 2 1st round picks to draft Hockenson or Fant.
  21. Those numbers I gave are solely on scrambles. AKA runs on passing plays. No designed runs in there.
  22. And it seems each and every one of the remaining players is/has been integral to McBeane's plans. Claims Shady will stay. Lorax & Ferguson extension. Talking Shaq up. Hughes is a wrecking ball and better be extended. Crazy.
  23. Meant to highlight that first line alone. My bad. Sorry bud... but nope. Still waiting for you to cross reference like you claimed you wanted to.
