  1. Are you just trying to play Devil's Advocate or are you presenting this as a legitimate argument?
  2. I don't know why people think our schedule is going to be that much worse next year. Every single year the dynamics of the league changes. Dallas and Philly were supposed to be Super Bowl contenders on our schedule. The Browns were supposed to be competing for the division. Pittsburgh was Pittsburgh. We're playing AFC and NFC West next year. As of this moment the Chargers, Broncos, Cardinals, Raiders and Rams look beatable. Seahawks look tough as always but also beatable. And the 49ers and Chiefs look like Losses, at this moment. But that could easily change going into next year. Plus, now I think we're probably actually expecting at least one win against the Pats next year. Things change every year. Heck, we might be much worse, too. I don't think we will be, though. I think we'll get to at least 10 wins again.
  3. Can't really blame Daboll for that. Foster was undrafted. Getting over 600 yards and 3 TDs in 26 games out of an UDFA WR is an accomplishment.
  4. If the Titans let Henry walk, they should relinquish the Franchise... to anyone... next bum on the street. That guy is a rare physical freak similar to Erick Dickerson and Adrian Peterson. Shame he's been hidden on such a mediocre team. Yes, if we can get a guy like that, we should. Obviously.
  5. Good idea considering how many young guys we have at critical positions!
  6. Well... that's the point, isn't it? We don't know... but McDermott and Co. Might feel differently, especially if there's any indication he's being trained in any way under Daboll. I understand he hasn't been an OC. Every OC has a first job as an OC, and if you look at recent history, a whole lot of OCs get their first OC job with a team or coach they're attached to and because that current OC left the building. It happened for Matt Nagy, Sean McVay, Doug Pederson and Kevin Stephansky where they had absolutely no Offensive Coordinator experience, but were promoted to the position within their own team. Do you know something I don't? Is there something in Dorsey's past that tells you he wouldn't be the best option at OC?
  7. Light as a feather my brotha I like the idea of continuity of system with some obvious personal tweaks Dorsey might bring in. Also looking for better instincts on actual play calling. Brand new OC from outside will mean brand new system. Yes, I realize this is a long way off... it'd just be a good plan to start grooming Dorsey and seeing if he has what it takes.
  8. Didn't realize I directed that question to you. If you don't know, you don't know. Someone else may know more than you or I do about Dorsey as a potential OC and whether he's being groomed.
  9. This game is insane. Don't really care a ton who wins... this is just reminding me why I love football so much and why I miss it so much for the 7 or 8 months it's gone.
  10. I was just wondering if there's been any news on this front? We nearly just lost Daboll, so I'm sure McDermott at least started thinking about his replacement. Since we now get the rarity of the same HC/OC/QB combo for the 3rd consecutive season, I think it would be wise to be prepared for the replacement plan for Daboll when (most likely)/if we lose him next offseason. So, how do we think Ken Dorsey would be as an OC after 2 seasons of absorbing Daboll's work? He was an actual QB, so I'm thinking that type of in-game experience would give him a different and important perspective. How might he be as OC?
  11. Hooray!!! Now Allen gets continuity. For the record, I think it's good we've got Daboll for a 3rd year in a row with Allen. Just want to get that in before I throw any criticism at him this offseason or next season. Huge. And really pretty amazing the turnover that happens in the NFL. This has really been set up as an ideal first 3 years to develop a super raw QB talent like Allen. Expecting big things next season.
  12. I said the other say I wanted the Chiefs to win today, but that was probably just lingering bitterness over our loss last week rather than a genuine dislike of Texans or especially Watson. This game along with the Ravens loss yesterday will make all the sports talk shows I listen to (Cowturd in particular, who I listen to because it's during the time I drive to work... and who said he was betting money on both Baltimore and KC winning in blowouts) that much more entertaining as they all eat their words and/or try to spin the narrative. Love it!
  13. Hooray!!! Now Allen gets continuity. For the record, I think it's good we've got Daboll for a 3rd year in a row with Allen. Just want to get that in before I throw any criticism at him this offseason or next season.
  14. I actually have been thinking more about this offseason, and even though I really want to get one of the top WRs in the draft, with the supposed depth of this draft, it's fairly likely we go DE/LB/DL to replace Shaq/LoRax/Phillips or whichever ones are gone. Let's be honest, McDermott values Defense more than offense. And if we wait til the 2nd round to draft a WR... well... Duke has an offseason to get hungry and work hard on his own and with Allen, there's a very good chance he's a consistent part of this offense next season.
  15. Meh. I don't want to bash him so much as emphasize the fact that he's not the immortal superhero QB most of the national media portrayed him as this year. He's an amazing athlete and is also a MUCH better passer than he was even last year. He also has a pretty incredible roster and a potential HOF Head Coach who went all-in on a quirky offensive system tailored to his super athletic QB. He had a fantastic regular season and then he had a bad playoff game. That's just what happened.
  16. I don't. Sorry. I know I'm being a little petty, but I can't stand the arrogance of the Ravens, the inevitability of them coming out of the AFC, and just the Lamar hype train. It was all deserved... at least the Lamar hype. But next season I think they fall on their faces a little.
  17. I think the Ravens take a big step back next step back next season and the Patriots are no longer dominant, though they'll probably always be competitive with Bill Bellicheck. Continuity this offseason for Allen with Daboll and the offense would be huge.
  18. Want Tennessee and Green Bay in the Superbowl and want Green Bay to win. But honestly, now that Baltimore and New England are out, I don't care all that much... just really didn't want either of them.
  19. Might not be at the moment. But I think smart money is Allen has the better career. Lamar benefited from a team, GM, Coach and OC who were absolutely all-in on running a system custom-made for Jackson. The Bills, on the other hand, are trying to mould Allen into a modern NFL pocket QB.
  20. I'm sorry, but the Ravens were so damn arrogant this year. Love that they lost. And badly. Offseason is also going to be a time where DCs will likely figure out the Lamar Jackson experience. Seems Allen had a better playoff game than Lamar in certain respects.
  21. I am absolutely friggin loving this!!! Tired of all the Lamar and Baltimore being unstoppable talk! Want to see Green Bay win the Super Bowl against the Titans. I'd love that because all the damn prognosticators wouldn't know what the heck to say!
  22. Remember this one? Did anyone else just completely forget we even had Zay Jones on our team this year? Quite a few dismissed Williams as a joke in favor of Jones, the "proven" NFL commodity. Well, to those people, you can argue that Zay had more receptions and more yards than D'haquille did. So here's the question: who has the better NFL career from here on out, Duke or Zay?
