  1. Why not? Tyrod made Kelvin Benjamin and Jordan Matthews look like bums this year, and Watkins & Woods before that. It wouldn't have mattered if he had Jerry Rice and Randy Moss out there, we'd still be dead last in YAC.
  2. Yup. Belichick would do it every game. Does anyone remember when he had his players tackle our receivers a couple years back because Taylor was out of the pocket and apparently that's legal? I haven't really seen it since, but as far as I can remember that's still the rule, along with no roughing the QB outside of the pocket.
  3. That's not the way that works - at all. Not even a little bit. Coaches only get credit for guys they brought into the league or gave a first real chance to that stuck around for multiple years and learned their system.
  4. Why do so many NFL QBs seem to have kids with significant health problems? Has anyone done a study on this?
  5. Humber is the worst LB on the team by a mile. He doesn't know how to tackle. I can't count the amount of times he was juked or just flat up couldn't bring his guy down.
  6. Mayfield is easily the best QB in the draft. I'll let the Browns do the Browns thing and draft Darnold. I could see Baker falling due to size. Hopefully the Bills snatch him up if they get the chance and we get our own "too small" version of Drew Brees/Russel Wilson
  7. You also have to take into consideration Washington's offensive regression, I think. The chargers comparison is incredibly unfair the lost 3/4 of those games by field goals ont he last play of the game with scrubby kickers.
  8. McCoy, Hyde, Poyer, Taylor (good or bad) I'll flip a coin on this draft since it's likely McDermott had a ton of say, but also unlikely he had time to scout anyone.
  9. Andy Dalton definitely gets the credit for a 9-7 team making the playoffs. That's not trashing the Bills it's just reality. We didn't control our own destiny. Dalton gave that to us. He's a bigger Buffalo hero than Taylor.
  10. Not to belabor the point, but you could have said the same of the Bills before they shipped off Watkins, Darby, and Dareus. This staff created the holes they had to fill, helped out by the previous staff's handling of Woods & Gillislee. Goff looked like an early bust candidate before the season, and I think many would have taken Taylor over him. Looking back, not so much. Reconsidering, I can't believe I left out Pederson. talent or not, it would be hard for him, or Belichick to not to walk away with the hardware. The last team to finish 9-7 or worse was Jimmy Johnson in 1990. Given that Belichick has won it 3 times in the Brady era, I don't think talent plays that much of a role. I Give McD no better odds than 5th. (Pederson, Belichick, McVay, Marrone, Zimmer/McDermott)
  11. Regardless, I'll take it. This is the best day of my soon to be 31 year old life. I still want a lot of people on this team gone, and I think the Bengals deserve the lions share of the credit, but none of that matters. The curse is broken, and I don't have to live every day with that hanging over my head anymore. Being from Buffalo finally isn't strictly a punchline anymore and that feels great.
  12. As unfortunate and sad as it is, that honor goes to Doug Marrone, or Sean McVay
  13. I'm not a Tyrod hater at all. I like him a lot (bought his jersey), just not as my starting QB anymore. I'm more than happy to blame it on how he was coached, but that's neither here nor there. He just isn't good enough and I'm more than happy to provide evidence why to anyone who disagrees. It doesn't seem you're in that camp though, so I'm not sure why this thread is still going. If there was a world where taylor could stay here the rest of his career as a backup gadget player, I'd love that scenario, but it's not possible.
  14. Maybe not. What I can tell you is that it's a virtual guarantee Taylor had no chance to beat NE barring a career worst day from Brady. Now, who knows? I can talk myself into a scenario where we get a couple turnovers and Peterman has a big day.
  15. By that time we were already getting destroyed. It should say something that Taylor's unanimous best game as a Bill (seattle) was yet another 4th quarter loss where he couldn't get the job done.
  16. The Bills are ranked 22nd in the league in offensive DVOA, leading the pack of the worst offenses in the league. That's simply not good enough. The good thing is McDermott finally sees it too. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamoff
  17. That's not what i did. I didn't bash Taylor for just last week at NO. I bashed him for 5 wins and 4 losses. It's probably a cold fact that we win last week with very few QBs and no other changes. That said, this Defense gifted Taylor 5 wins this year that he didn't do much of anything to claim for himself. I'll repeat it here: give me one of the top 20 QBs in this league and this team is 8-1. Taylor has been **** all season.
