ok but not all players cut get exposed to waivers. I love that the expanded practice squad model can include a limited number of vets now. They don’t get exposed to waivers and can make a decision on where they want to go. Do they want to be part of this or not? If they chose our practice squad knowing the competition involved…that says a lot about their hunger to win and be part of what we have going on here.

I believe right after that was when Beane said “I know some things.” Which to me meant he knows Ford’s attitude was an issue and something they needed to do better in this case to vet out. I don’t think a player who never had the issues that Dawkins exposed just becomes that way after they get drafted. It was something they missed with Cody, which has rarely happened with this regime, but great he took responsibility and mentioned corrective actions.

Absolutely. Singletary in his rookie season averaged more ypc than Duke ever did in his career. Singletary also has like 75% more starts in his career than Duke and has been in the league less than half as long. Duke is the better receiver but not better overall back. Couple all that with the 4 year age difference and it’s a no brained who you keep. Blackshear has great potential but we haven’t seen him against starters yet and in no way can set he’s better than Devin.

Only way I could be on board is if we got a 3rd rounder for him and I doubt a team would do that. Maybe a 4th at best. If Devin goes down are you really good with a rookie in Blackshear or you would keep Duke Johnson over Moss?

If Antonio Williams didn’t get a shot I don’t know why people think Blackshear will. Williams even performed in a reagular season game…averaged over 5 yards a carry and had TDs and was never seen again. Just ain’t happening. Our draft picks will be the only ones getting carried this season.

All they really needed to see if he was a reliable holder or not. His talent is too extreme not to allow him to work on that other stuff! Our offense and defense and even special teams coverage is so great we can afford to be patient with a generational talent at Punter.

Pads came on and his disappeared. Bills let him run his commercial during the end of the game Saturday. Hopefully that earns him another look on a team who can use a decent PR and vet presence in the WR room. The Bills isn’t that team this year.
