This is so absurd. There's no way in hell he's taking a coaching job. He doesn't have any experience at that level. He spent this whole season trying to make himself more likable with multiple NFL media gigs. Does he go to bed at night thinking "Six Super Bowls are great but what I really covet is an ACC Championship to really cement my legacy? I can't wait to recruit 17 year old kids to join our program and suck up to the boosters." It's a publicity stunt that benefits both parties.
It's about creating leverage and NFL owners that might be or are looking for a new head coach (Bengals, Giants, Jaguars, Saints, Cowboys, Bears, Raiders) might just fall for it.
