Should Bills Draft a Back-up QB? Who?
Doc Brown replied to NORWOODS FOOT's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel like this comes up every year but if we lose Allen to a season ending injury. We're done. If he's out for four weeks we need a capable backup that can get us to at least 2-2. I think Trubisky would for example be capable enough to get us to at least 3-2 here down the stretch if Josh wakes up tomorrow and needs his appendix removed or something. -
Will we be in Super Bowl contention this year?

The Jets. Definitely. I think Miami is a WC team right now though if Tua doesn't get injured. We'll see what they're made of down the stretch. -

Nailed about everything except for this. LOL. -

He should've thrown it to Diggs. At worst that's a 3rd and short. Run down the clock and either score a TD or FG with under 30 seconds to go. Our defense wasn't stopping Mahomes even if Allen hits that low percentage pass to Shakir 25 yards down the middle of the field. The entire game script was abandoned for some reason after that two minute warning. -
I'm starting to question my prediction of the Sabres entering the playoffs as the #1 seed this year.
-
LOL. Great judgment their Terry. He hired Ryan and six failed Sabres head coaches. I'll give him credit for hiring McDermott and Beane (not sure how much Kim was involved) but that just makes it more likely he'll be extremely hesitant to ever make a change.

I remember at the time that the rumor was Shanahan wouldn't even interview with Pegula given how unstable this franchise appeared with Doug Whaley running the show. Maybe I have it backwards.
-
LaFleur had four years with Aaron Rodgers playing at an MVP level and didn't make a Super Bowl in a weaker conference. Shanahan made the Super Bowl twice with lesser QB's. I don't know how you can argue LaFleur is a better head coach.
-
Completely agree unless McDermott would voluntarily leave for some reason like Marrone did. I think with Pegula you have to factor in his hockey decisions to evaluate him as an owner. He's gone back to the well in hockey twice with Ted Nolan and Lindy Ruff. First one didn't work and second one's not looking great either. Then you have in between Bylsma, Housley, Krueger, and Granato. All first time NHL head coaching hires that didn't last more than three seasons. Then of course you have the Rex Ryan hire. So, he's basically 1 for 6 and probably 1 for 7 in just hiring a coach that finished a season above .500. I don't even want to go into his GM choices. Based off that, one could make the argument it's dumb luck that he stumbled into McDermott and Beane. Why in the world would he even attempt to rock the boat with the only successful head coach and GM he's hired between two franchises since owning both teams more for a decade or so? It's why threads like this have always been meaningless imo.

I think Shanahan is the third best coach in the NFL behind Reid and McVay. If he becomes available let us know.

I value RB's about the same as punters but I think both are really good young RB's. Allen just has the misfortune of being drafted by the Jets.

Good to see them put a rapp on Rapp's game availability. Coleman must have a really bad bruise. -

He's started only one game so I wouldn't go that far and he's had some good reps in garbage time. I know the Nico Collins TD stands out but it's wild to call him the worst safety in the league after one bad rep. -

No way. Too lazy to insert Dumb and Dumber landing on the moon gif. If Rapp can't go does Bishop take his place? Hamlin and Bishop against the Rams WR weapons doesn't sound ideal. -
Belichick interviewed for the U of North Carolina head coaching job
Doc Brown replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is so absurd. There's no way in hell he's taking a coaching job. He doesn't have any experience at that level. He spent this whole season trying to make himself more likable with multiple NFL media gigs. Does he go to bed at night thinking "Six Super Bowls are great but what I really covet is an ACC Championship to really cement my legacy? I can't wait to recruit 17 year old kids to join our program and suck up to the boosters." It's a publicity stunt that benefits both parties. It's about creating leverage and NFL owners that might be or are looking for a new head coach (Bengals, Giants, Jaguars, Saints, Cowboys, Bears, Raiders) might just fall for it. -

I thought the Chargers should've made a trade for an outside WR at the deadline. Someone like Mike Williams or Darius Slayton would've made sense. -

The Detroit game will matter no matter what. -If we lose and the Chiefs win this Sunday then the Lions games becomes a must win for the Bills if they want any shot at that one seed. Hope the Chiefs lose two of their last four which is possible given their schedule. -If both teams win it's still likely that the Bills need to win out for them to have a decent shot at that one seed. KC should lose at least one of their last four. I think. -If we win and the Chiefs lose then it's very likely a victory over the Lions will basically win us the one seed with Pats, Jets, @Pats as the final three joke opponents. This is pry the outcome this Sunday that would make the Lions game the least important though because I think Chiefs will lose one of their last three games (Texans, @Steelers, @Broncos). -
Their four losses were against teams with five losses combined. They'll be a threat as a Wild Card.
-
I would've taken the field goal and made the Packers drive the ball with 35 seconds left with no timeouts.
-
They're pry the most likable team in the league.
-
Nobody touched him even if it was.
-
Do you know what a field goal is?
-
Now throw it to the endzone.
