I didn’t see the clip but I remember Keshawn saying Lamar was better at the end of last season despite a horrible season by him. There’s a common denominator but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Diggs Extended 4 more years breaking news per WGR 550
Doc Brown replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll add Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin to that list. Hell, Heins Ward if you want to go back a decade. There are posters who bring up a good point that no WR over 30 had over 1,000 yards last year. There's plenty of examples of WR's hitting a wall around the age of 30 (Dez Bryant is the first name that comes to mind). We're going to get a much bigger sample size with Kupp, Adams, Diggs, Lockett, Theilen, and Hopkins all around the same age. Beane made a calculated risk that they have at least four more good years in Diggs who's excellent route running can help minimize any decline in quickness. The connection with Allen shouldn't be overlooked. To me Von Miller is the contract that makes me the most uneasy. Three years taking him to the age of 36 until we can get out of the deal with a manageable dead cap hit. -
Am I the only one who hasn't completely given up on Zack Moss?
Doc Brown replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I see a free rusher (Adrian Phillips). that will likely chase you down if you try and run outside Spncer Brown and at best you get a one yard gain. Maybe even a loss if Brown can't sustain his block. Or you put your head down and try to get a three or four yard gain inside hoping Morse will sustain his block (he doesn't). If you want to argue he doesn't have the greatest vision this is a poor example to use. -
Bengals to Columbus or Jaguars to Orlando are scant possibilities over the next decade. That’s about all I think could happen.

I’m sure the NFL would love to have a team in Toronto given they’re the fourth largest city population wise in North America. LA isn’t exactly a football city but the market is so big they put two teams there.

Chiefs schedule is really tough (they play the Bucs, Bills, and Bengals) while the rest of the division gets easier opponents. The loss of Hill and a running game will hurt them. The NFC West is a tough conference to play too so that will bring down their win total. I've got Bills, Bengals, Colts, Chargers, Ravens, Raiders and Titans in that order for the playoffs. So, two from the AFC West. The Broncos have a lot of promising young WR's but they don't have Metcalf or Lockett. I don't trust their o-line either.

Bills off-season workout dates: April 19-June 16

I was worried then and that's before the WR market absolutely exploded. Let the Poyer watch begin. -
Nope. One of the advantages of building across the street.

#Bills Draft Guide ==> Beane & McDermott's Draft Tendencies

Whoops. I thought they sat him for the Bucs game. I stand corrected. -
#Bills Draft Guide ==> Beane & McDermott's Draft Tendencies
Doc Brown replied to intimidatortj's topic in The Stadium Wall
First round picks. Definitely. White, Edmunds, Oliver, and Rousseau each played at least 15 games their rookie season. McDermott isn't afraid to make them health scratches though (Oliver and Rousseau) if he thinks they need a kick in the pants. Allen is the exception as he missed a few games because of injury. -
I'm not trading up in the first round for a one trick pony after beefing up the interior with Jones and Settle. I worry about his work ethic as his weight in college constantly fluctuated. If he's there at 25 then I wouldn't have a problem with the Bills selecting him but trading up for him is dumb. The Super Bowl is in Arizona btw.

You can take him and not trade Poyer. We need all hands on deck this season and I don't want to break up the Poyer/Hyde combo for some 3rd round pick.

Like not crying over Brady’s dominance of us and not caring for the guy either. -
Diggs Extended 4 more years breaking news per WGR 550

Unless you sign say a Gilmore type veteran to a multi year contract and have it structured so the first year cap hit is around three million. -

It’s pry a fair assumption although they could easily add cap space if needed. Rule out nothing is a good rule of thumb. -

Joe B. Von Miller article in the Athletic
Doc Brown replied to Long Suffering Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Miller just turned 33 years old. Bruce went to Washington at 37 years old. Bruce made the pro bowl and had double digit sacks at age 33, 34, and 35. Terrible comparison. -

Right but he didn't take a pay cut. He got a 5.68 million dollar restructure bonus as they just added three void years (dummie seasons) to the end of his contract. You add his base salary, workout bonus, plus his incentive bonus and it comes to about 7.7 million.
-
You or I may be reading it wrong. Hyde is making 7.7 million. Poyer is making 7.1 million.

Diggs Extended 4 more years breaking news per WGR 550
Doc Brown replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wasn't advocating for a trade but if Diggs demanded to be the highest paid NFL WR then it would make sense to trade him now where you can sell high. It wasn't a crazy conversation given the recent trades of Adams and Hill. Instead, we got him on a reasonable 20.7 million a year. That's only 2.7 million more per year than Christian Kirk. -

Statement move by Beane. This wil look like a bargain with Metcalf, Brown, Samuel, and Jefferson coming up. -
The last and only time (I believe) where we were sole betting favorites to win the Super Bowl was before the '91 season after "Wide RIght." In other words, it's pretty uncharted territory for most Bills fans. There's too many variables that have to fall right for us to win so I'd bet the field if that was an option. However, it'll pry be the most confident I feel entering a season since '91.

Are ACL injuries no big deal anymore? The data suggest they are
Doc Brown replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wish they would’ve added a non injury control group in this study. Obviously a torn ACL will shorten many careers but without a control group it’s impossible to know to what extent.
