  1. I disagree. Saying he'd nominate the first black woman SCOTUS if elected help him win the primaries and the presidency. He followed through on that promise. You may disagree with the tactic but I can't argue the effectiveness of it.
  2. FanDuel is giving him 30 million a year. Not bad for a former punter. He's been a slightly below average punter his whole career and that was mostly in good weather. I'm told he holds the ball extremely well though.
  3. Beane after the McKissic news….. Beane: NOBODY does that to me!!! !@#$ it. Forget my cap ethics. Sign Von. Sign OJ. Give me Shaq and Jordan. Give me any rb that can catch. Give me the black Beasley. Intern: what about CB 2? Beane: Woah. Let’s not go crazy here.
  4. Ryan is basically Phillip Rivers which is pry better than Carson Wentz.
  5. A move to not feel pressure to reach for rb in the draft.
  6. Relationship seemed to have soured. Haden wanted an extension before last season and didn't get one. There were trade rumors with him before the deadline that never materialized. Wallace is a younger and cheaper option.
  7. I made that comment before the contract restructuring. He's well worth a 3.5m dollar cap hit.
  8. That's getting cocky. We needed him to play week 18 last year just to ensure the division title.
  9. He had his best season statistically by a mile in 2020 without Hopkins. 4,822 yards, 33 TD's, 7 INT's, 112.4 passer rating. I guess you could use the garbage time argument but he's a damn good qb. I think he's a garbage human being but can't deny the Browns just put themselves in Super Bowl contention over the next few years.
  10. Well, it's the Browns so it's still going to be a problem. You sold your soul and you still suck? It'll be similar to that South Park episode where Cartman pretended to be mentally handicapped to get in the Special Olympics and he finished in last place anyways.
  11. The league already set the standard with the Roethlisberger decision where no criminal chargers were filed. Goodell can just suspend him simply by saying a "pattern of behavior using bad judgments" which violates the league's personal conduct policy. You may not agree that the commissioner should have that much power but that's what the player's union agreed to.
  12. Has this ever happened in Bills history? AFL days included.
  13. That was a salary dump though. Shenault's on his rookie deal. I'd definitely deal a 5th for him.
  14. They did and were able to reduce the cap hit from 8.4 million to 6.1 million. It's possible the Bills give him a new contract to lessen that cap hit. If they don't I agree with @Niagara Dudein that he's not worth 6.1 million against the cap.
  15. I think the Cardinals would beg to differ as they eat 9.4 million in dead cap. He did have 9.5 sacks in 2019 though. Sacks should not be the only benchmark. Pressures lead to the QB getting the ball faster than they want to. This can lead to picks, taking the check down as the down the field routes don't have enough time to develop, int's, etc... They're valuable.
  16. That's right. Elway came through for us just like he did in the '91 season's championship game.
  17. Possibly. It was reported that Elway was only interested in Baker and Darnold and just took BPA when neither fell to them.
  18. The Haslam's forced Browns fans into this moral conundrum and I'm not going to judge any of them. I'd personally be out though because a Super Bowl victory with Watson as the face of the franchise/franchise QB would feel hollow.
  19. They already showed who they were just by meeting with him. I see no difference between them and the other three teams that courted him. Cleveland was just willing to take on the most risk apparently.
  20. Just waiting on the Schefter tweet that says Andrew Luck is coming out of retirement to sign with the Colts.
  21. I think he we went through three head coaches (Marrone, Ryan, Lynn) and at least five QB's (Manuel, Thad Lewis, Tuel, Orton, Taylor) the four years he was here. I don't blame him leaving at all.
  22. They’ll pry take a qb knowing them.
  23. Quiet offseason so far.
  24. He's not going to be easy to replace. I expect a lot more 12 personnel.
