We've seen how amazing (2020, 2021) Josh can play. We're talking elite superstar qb. You also can't deny the effect losing Daboll has had on him. After that Dolphins game we looked unstoppable. It's still there in him. Someone, anyone needs to coach him back up and rebuild that confidence. He probably feels the pressure of having to carry a team who's lost half their defense. And yes JA has to grow up and stop making bonehead decisions. It's like we don't change the offensive game plan based on different opponents. We just always try to put the pedal to the metal every game. It's completely unnecessary.

We have to run the damn ball. All 3 tds v Denver came with heavy running. I know we don't have a top 10 OL to open up holes against the better defenses. But we desperately need to find a way of reducing these non stop turnovers. It's absolutely killing this team.

He can't possibly be as bad or worse than Dorsey. So let's support him. Hope he can somehow coach these turnovers out of Josh. Devise schemes that gets them some semblance of wr separation and continue to use James.

Who was behind the decision to fire Dorsey?

Well with Dennison, Farwell, Frazier and now Dorsey, Sean's had 4 bites at that apple. When does it actually "starts with me" kick in? -
Who was behind the decision to fire Dorsey?
LABILLBACKER replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let me preface this by saying Dorsey clearly struggled these last 2 years and needed to be replaced. But he had nothing to do with 12 men, or 13 Sec, or blowing that late 16-0 lead in Houston. Sean has his own issues and it's well documented. His in game management and preparation is inconsistent. His concerted decision to emphasize D over O these last 6 years has absolutely effected our offense. " Josh you go out and be Superman while I continue to build my Defense"....this team from Day1 needed to be built around it's best player. And other than Diggs, that didn't happen until last season with Torrence & Kincaid. Most of the offensive fa's brought in by Beane have been useless. I'm encouraged that we'll have a new set of eyes running the offense. But I'm not naive enough to ignore more underlying issues with McDermott. -
I needed that man...and you're right. We need to all take a deep breath and re-evaluate the important things in life. Family, friends, retirement, golf, less stressing over this team. We have no control. Most players don't listen anyway, they're after the bag.

Our Dline was dominant with DQ and our best blitzer Milano in there. Everything changed in London.

Can we just stop doing 2 things for the remainder of the year. 1. No more shotgun draws 2. No more deep jump ball routes to 5-6 Harty. .....just stop....
-
We may never see that from Josh. I don't think it's in his nature. I wish he would get pissed and show some passion (in any direction) on the sidelines. If you think the coaching sucks (which it does) then say something. Don't just sit there on the sideline like the "good soldier" and not make waves. This team is a mess.

100% this ^......Josh has so many conflicting messages spinning around in his head. Brady needs to slow things down. Simplify the offense and rely on running the ball and shorter routes until teams come out of the cover2. Josh needs to take a deep breath and put hero ball on hold for awhile.

Bickering Bills Bumbling Bills Billsy Bills ....who cares anymore...they all come without a Lombardi.

I think the biggest problem lies in people feeling McDermott gets some lifetime pass for our drought exit. And Beane gets a lifetime pass for selecting Josh. But outside of these 2 actions, these 2 guys have struggled quite a bit. Beane with several failed picks and McD with several failed coaching decisions. I still want McD gone first and give Beane one final year to turn things around with a heavy 2024 offensive draft.

Fire McDermott - 12 On the Field INEXCUSABLE
LABILLBACKER replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
....exactly, just like 3 years ago when Sean failed to walk out on the field and tell his ST to pooch to the 5. But he never did that either. Clueless, lazy & stupid. -
At least Terry wouldn't play 8 yards off the ball. Another egregious mistake this staff has continued to practice. Find a bunch of league minimum backups to play ST.
-
Yes our ST is incredibly weak beyond Bass. Punt coverage is either missing tackles or falling over each other. Mims had a field day last night. We're lucky if Shakir can return a kick to the 18. It's a very weak unit and Cam Lewis is not worth what we're paying him.

Another Buffalo Sports Fan's Gut Punch.....or is it?
LABILLBACKER replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly we easily shouldn't lost to the Giants. And if Godwin turns around, we're 3-7. Diggs last season showed us a glimpse of what was wrong. We chose to ignore it as just media hype. The "post Daboll" offense was a mess. Dorsey was way over his skis. And McDermott didn’t have the tools to deal with it. So now a 4th scapegoat falls. McD survives again. How much longer does this foolishness go?
