Unfortunately Josh is not a WCO rhythm qb. His strength is find his 1st or 2nd read or improvise off script. Because of his athleticism that will always be his game until he gets to his mid 30's.

One thing I will say is we've managed to get guys open on deeper routes the last 3rd of the season. Josh has either over-threw them or they dropped the ball. I don't mind the quicker routes & checkdowns. It does help the OL. But I do want to draft younger faster wrs who can occasionally stretch the field. I can live with Brady another year as long as he adds some wrinkles.

Number one priority is being relatively healthy going into the playoffs. Getting the 1 seed is just gravy and allows your team one less game to play. Those 3 games we lost cost us that 1 seed.

The last sentence is the big one. I'm only giving McDermott one more year. Keep your team healthy any way you can and get beyond the damn division round.

I will give Simon alot of credit. He's gotta navigate through alot of knuckleheads like me. But thank God this forum exists if for no other reason than to vent and commiserate.

When you've seen this movie so many times, after awhile you became numb and less combative. It should be really easy and quiet next year.

He puts together just a good enough defense and system to help Josh get 11+ wins each year. But once the playoffs start everything about his defense crashes down. And until he's gone this will continue every year. He's terrible scheming against elite teams/ qbs. Gee ya think. Yet we'll be stuck with this idiot for a couple more years. I've given up ever expecting our DL to rise up in the playoffs against teams like KC or Cincy.

No....Milano, DQ and Tre going down early. Then all the additional injuries later in the season. No way we were winning it all. Even if Bass makes that kick, we were still losing last night. This wasn't our year. 6-6 kinda validated that. I appreciate all the rallying for 5 straight but even games late against the Chargers & Patriots proved we were out of sync. Find a way to eliminate injuries and Josh turnovers and maybe I'll get excited again. And finally I don't think McD can ever take this team to the final level.

I think the Diggs drops factored in to Josh looking to Shakir in the EZ. Cook is not a reliable pass catcher with his stone hands. So all that leaves is Kincaid & Shakir as reliable.

Baltimore caused 6 false starts Saturday. The Mafia forced 0. Again that's coaching and discipline. Reid is light years better than McD.

I'm sick and tired of waiting around (6 years now) for Sean McDermott to build a playoff defense. Media is downgrading Josh's accomplishments because he's expected to score 30-40 points every playoff game. And that narrative exists because McDermott's yearly defense can't do squat in the playoffs.

I agree with all except 5. If Beane allows McDermott to draft defense again then he's as much a fool as Derm is.

His defense is awful every damn year in the playoffs. And clearly he can't hire a competent conditioning staff to reduce injuries. What do you expect?

It was disorganized and botched. It looked like the punt team wanted to yell out alert and punt it instead. Our ST's have been awful all year.

It will be a cold day in hell when Sean McDermott runs out of excuses. Just another playoff exit where HIS defense let's down Josh. Next year will be the same and the year after that.

I was screaming for more play action in the 2nd half. Especially on 1st down but Brady just forced Cook up the middle. Alot of 2nd & 9's. Brady is clearly better than Dorsey but he's got stuff to improve on.

We have to find a way to keep DQ, Floyd and Dane. The rest of the FA's can ALL go.

What's the point of throwing downfield if your wrs are just going to drop it. Those passes to Sherfield and Diggs were perfect. Even Cook has stone hands. Find Josh some damn players that can catch the damn ball.
