  1. This is what they should try to do. Lock him up for a few years. It gets him back to the bargaining table for a big payday (provided that performance is there) before his career is done.
  2. Jonah WIlliams. He's a rare talent, and an automatic success at the next level. If Williams won't drop to our pick, then trade back, get some extra picks, and draft BPA down the line. I think you're better off trying to fill the O-line vet free agents who know how to block in this league already.
  3. LOL, how can you possibly make this prediction? I know it's all for fun, but this won't even be close to the same team next season. Could be better ? could be worse ?
  4. I'm pretty sure McDermott has enough sense to be seeing around the corner and formulating plan-B in case one of his gets an opportunity. He'd also be foolish to overlook this opportunity to make some upgrades on his own staff from all these assistants now on the market.
  5. I couldn't agree more. I've played lots of ball in my younger days, and my old man was a coach. I already knew quite a bit about the game, or so I thought... I read this book twice. It's fantastic football education -especially at the NFL level.
  6. the season is done no playoffs for buffalo brand new team next year
  7. Well, it's not a ton, but here's a some... And like I said... you can only take the improvement so far with continued experience and practice. Mathew Stafford: Roughly 60% comp early, roughly 66% of late Ryan Tannehill: <60% early, 66 lately Alex Smith <60% early, 67 last two seasons (before injury). Drew Brees, yeah, he's always been very good, but even he took his comp % from 65% up to a now godly 70+% even Pyton Manning went from 62 up to 68% in his prime years. Yeah, I know there's allot more to accuracy than completion %, but I don't have a historical database of QB over time, and what exactly led to their accuracy improvement, but it does suggest that improvement is possible. No argument from me. I do believe he can get better given time, experience and reps, but lets not start believing he's going to be Drew Brees in a couple seasons.
  8. Whether it's Basketball 3-pointers, or Golf shots, slapshots or even throwing darts, I believe that accuracy can be improved with proper technique and practice, but for an NFL QB, that will only help to a certain point. The problem an NFL QB faces is that literally every throw is a totally different set of circumstances, and you can't "muscle memory" every single throw you'll ever need to make. Can a QB become more accurate? YES. But if you're not starting from a point of good or better, you;re not going to become great or GOAT through technique and reps.
  9. Agreed. I don't think he's done, He still has allot of talent. They just don't use him right; need to get him into space, not bashing him up between the tackles. Use him like the Patriots use James White. He's an automatic mismatch with just about any LB in the league. I'd like to see more throwing from 21 personnel sets.
  10. fish stink in the sun cant stand the color aqua hughes drills tannehill
  11. I'd make him inactive. That's humiliating for a player. Let him explain to the press about why he's not active. Coach McD can simply tout the Belichick response to the press “We put the best players out there and the gameplan out there because we thought it’d be the best to win,” (his exact response to his Butler benching). He'll be lucky to get a low level prove-it deal next season; you can bet coaches and GMs talk to each other in the off season about former players.
  12. But they haven't, and they won't, so it's not. stay calm.
  13. Yeah, I honestly don't get the decision either. I fail to see how this would ever serve to raise your stock as free agent in the eyes of any future team. I hope other teams send a message, and simply say no thanks. "we don't need the likes of you in our locker room". Holding out can work both ways.
  14. I was absolutely astounded watching this. No effort, no heart. The coach should call him out in the team meeting. He teammates should call him out in the Locker Room. What an embarrassment. Get him out of here!
  15. Serious confidence builder today for Zay. and Pancho is our man here in big D. We love him! He needs help https://www.gofundme.com/pancho-power
  16. Can we please stop with the "fire someone" threads. They're so unsophisticated.
