  1. Sorry, I don;t think it's a fluke. I'm typically fairly optimistic, but what I saw yesterday didn't look like a fluke. It looked like a High school JV team going against the Varsity. A rookie QB starting behind a weak O-line. An aging RB who does not look as quick as he was. Throwing to a lack-luster receiving corp led by a dude who looks like he's half-assing his routes. And on the other side of the ball... A non-existent pass-rush, line backed by a rookie Mike, and undersized weak side and an aging slower strong. The secondary plays way too soft and looses relievers wide open in holes in the zones.
  2. Dudes looked like they didn't even know how to play football... so much badness, I don't even know where to begin.
  3. Yes, you need both talent and teamwork to maximize results; it's an equation. However in today's NFL no team has top talent at every position. It's impossible due to salary cap, free agency, and overall talent pool, injuries, etc. So, how do you make up for the lack of talent? You seek to maximize the side of the equation that you can directly affect through coaching and culture.
  4. A team that plays as a team with a great leader often can beat the collection of talented players out for themselves and their stat lines.
  5. Did anyone ever hear what the results of those evaluations were? I'm pretty sure If he had been adjudicated mentally Ill, he'd never have been allowed to own/keep his firearms.
  6. We are in really big trouble if that OL situation isn't addressed. I don't think I've ever seen pass protection that bad at the professional level; that is if you can even call what we saw today "professional". You cannot start Allen with pass protection that bad. By default you have to start someone else. He doesn't have the the experience to even begin to deal with that. All you;re going to do is get him hurt, and probably ruin his confidence. Red shirt him this year.
  7. Pretty stark contrast to Hard Knocks and the Browns coaching staff and relationships. It wouldn't surprise me in the least and would love to see them offer Kyle Williams an assistant coaching job next season, if for no other reason than to keep his leadership in the building. No idea if that's in his life plan or not, but I think it would be super cool.
  8. If you need to swear that much then you're not an effective communicator, let alone teacher, let alone coach. If you need it, then it should be a punctuation at best -sparingly. If you need to punctuate everything you say, then maybe you you need to re-evaluate your message. To me it drives a wedge between the coach and the team; makes players feel disrespected and resentful. Coaches should be inspirational, not scornful and feared.
  9. yeah, and credit you for the stern reprimand and education. thanks "dad". Sheesh, lighten up dude.
  10. No, I don't think mental illness is funny, and it wasn't reported in the OP that it was at his father's funeral. That is sad, and I feel genuine sympathy for him. Then again I don't know Richie personally, nor do I know for certain that he actually suffers from mental illness, beyond the conjecture of the resident psychologists claiming so on this board.
  11. He's an experienced veteran. Alexander is an awesome leader too. With that experience, good coaching and film study, you're going to recognize what's coming on occasion and make a great play. No ESP needed.
  12. The stopwatch app on my apple watch runs time to the hundredth, so... Now, can you click it on and off accurately is another question, but it does display the time elapse in hundredths.
  13. I guess I'll see for myself when I watch the rebroadcast on the DVR.
  14. If his shoulders were turned more the other way, I'd agree with you, but they're not.
  15. I'm no huge Peterman fan, but I totally disagree. That ball was on the money right in his face, hands up. That drop/pick is all on Ivory.
  16. Fake News is not the same as errors in reporting. Fake news is intentionally misleading according to some agenda in an attempt to make you think like they do.
  17. Not to mention the fact that it's July in Atlanta. You NEED Air Conditioning! You could not survive long down there without it.
  18. or she simply neglected to lock a door. It happens. You don't know.
  19. in fairness, there was an earlier cited source that stated she had them removed. "According to his attorney, Jacoby Hudson, McCoy claimed that Cordon had surveillance cameras removed from the home." https://nypost.com/2018/07/10/lesean-mccoy-recently-tried-to-evict-ex-girlfriend-from-his-home/ Conflicting stories on the camera issue.
  20. not sure if this complicates things further for you guys, but.... "The home is owned by LKM Trust Agreement — LKM are McCoy’s initials — which is listed with a Buffalo, NY, address.:" https://www.sbnation.com/2018/7/10/17553550/lesean-mccoy-abuse-accusations-home-invasion-georgia-ex-girlfriend
  21. Was he under restraining order or something? Why wouldn't he be allowed in his own home? Are you simply saying he wasn't welcome... by her?
