  1. I used to live in that area, went to the same High School as the gunman (many years ago). It's really sad and my heart goes out to all the people T.O. it's a tight community. I still have friends there; there's little doubt it's touched someone I know. My heart breaks for the Officer and his family. He didn't realize he'd be walking into a trained Marine with malice intent. That said, I also think it's sad that citizens in such a state have no means to defend themselves from evil men. I know for one I'm going to increase my resolve in my personal carry program. I'm not going to be a helpless victim to the next madman. You never know where and when you'll run into one. I hope it's never, but I'll be prepared if it ever does.
  2. I liked Booger McFarland's comment on Monday night... "Benjamin looks like he's a Popeye's biscuit away from being a Tight End" ?
  3. That really is the point. It's a billion dollar franchise. You don't go around making rash emotional decisions and firing it's leaders just because things aren't going as planned. And furthermore nobody on this board can equivocally say that they even know what the plan is, was or will be. It's akin to a frustrated child with a coloring book who can't stay within the lines.
  4. When you color outside the lines, do you tear up the page and start over on a new picture? You won't finish many coloring books like that and will simply have a pile of trash when you're done.
  5. Then coaching needs to recognize that and make adjustments. Throw more on first down. Take ad vantage of 1-on-1 on the outsides. There's simply way too many factors at play to sit back and claim "it's all about the QB" B.S. I refuse to buy into that. He plays a significant role, but he's not solely responsible. When the QB is struggling, EVERYONE needs to step up and help.
  6. He's certainly not making people miss like he used to...
  7. So.. how does the QB make Shady look bad again? That one went over my head.
  8. It was an ugly win and I'm not pleased with the passing game performance, but the Titans are hardly an "average" team to date. They were 3-1 going in and they've knocked off Philly and Jacksonville in tough bouts. Maybe those teams are overstated at this point, time will tell, but I was happy with the tenacity the bills showed.
  9. Of course. There's absolutely things they can do to help hide their weakness. Run the ball more with overloaded running packages - 2 tight end sets. Quick passing - When was the last time we saw any semi-pick-play quick slants? Would love to see McCoy involved more in the passing game. - Do what the Patriots do, scheme him to get him on-on-one with a LB. That's an easy win. Bubble screens, heck, screen passes in general. Those are designed to defeat blitzing, and you know they're going to be coming after him.
  10. This^^ Plain and simple. The lack of talent on this offense overall is astounding. I pray Allen doesn't get hurt, and actually learns valuable lessons for every lump he's going to take this season and gets better.
  11. Gotta love the guy, but Fitzmagic to Fitztragic. He just can't keep it together for long.
  12. The only thing that I could possibly point to, is that it looked kinda like Allen sort of "dropped" it from his hands down to the runner instead of pushing it forward to him. It was very close. 9/10 times that's an incomplete pass.
  13. wow, that wasn't an article, that was an essay. Sheesh! Dude must have been up all night writing that.
  14. This is what I noticed too. It had nothing to do with Brady or the weapons he had available. The Defense simply couldn't get off the field. Detroit possessed the ball for nearly 40 minutes of that game. That's a big problem. I get a little giddy every time the Patsies lose, but not writing them off just yet, they always seem sketchy in Sept, get squared away again in Oct., then roll in Nov and Dec. I'll start getting excited when they're 2-8... not holding my breath.
  15. Draft position is almost meaningless to me. It's been proven over and over that with good evaluation there's great talent, difference makers, in the first round all over the board. Intentionally "tanking" is a myth. Willfully losing for a better draft spot is simply not an option. You've got to remember, every time these players and coaches step onto the field, they're literally playing for their careers. What players put on tape determines their future earning potential; whether this team or their next. What kind of contract you think they earn next time if the tape shows them "phoning it in". Coaches need to stay off the hot seat, else their head coaching career becomes short, and their assistant's even shorter. These people have families at stake. You think they ever think about next year's draft pick position in light of having to find a new job or uproot the family again? I don;t think so.
  16. He's fine to have his own opinion, i respect that. But... OP asked a question, then answered it for himself with a bit of a rant, kinda indicates to me an immature temper tantrum. Happens frequently in TSW now. Reminds me of BBMB.
  17. Yes, No (not sure what fox has to do with anything). So what?... your answer is to come here and moan about it. What it that you think you're accomplishing? You think they read this board? Think again. It's irrelevant what I think. I certainly don't care what you think. The time frame is too short to determine that. I may agree with you in the future, but it's too early in their tenure to know.
  18. I certainly hope they think that way, and they probably won't win, but I'll still root for 'em anyway.
  19. I'm just saying that I don't think Allen himself thinks he's being thrown tot he wolves... so who gives a crap what a sportswriter thinks?
  20. If given a choice, do you think Allen would rather be starting, or waiting? I'm thinking he'd rather be "thrown to the wolves" than riding the pine.
  21. The Bills should be aggressively pursuing every dime of that money. Dude deserves even less in my mind.
