Josh Allen is looking a lot more like the 2019 version
Boatdrinks replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe his baseline is going to be somewhere between 2019 and 2020. There’s no guarantee he can repeat last season’s performance. This is true whether you paid him or not. Lots of NFL QBs have had a year and never quite reached that level again. Regardless of what fans want, we just don’t know yet. -
Williams needs to be benched
Boatdrinks replied to DieHardBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Correct .The same also goes for Allen, WRs etc etc. Every year is its own entity in the NFL. Can’t just put last season on repeat. Some fans seem to want it that way, but that’s just not how it works. -

The next big name to sign always gets the most in history. Again, it doesn’t mean they will exceed or match their best year every season that follows. I’ll take a 35 point win. -

Have to agree. Those teams were also some of the best defenses the Pats fielded in the Belichick era. Brady in 07 was quite different than Brady in ‘03. Anyway, using the best NFL QB of all time as the bar might be a bit of a stretch to make a point. -

While there are no excuses, it doesn’t mean that adjustments to the way teams treat QBs financially = QBs reaching their career peak any faster than they used to. In the end, wins are the stat that matters most. The team wins with Allen at QB. -
Sarah Silverman posits forming a USA 1 and USA 2
Boatdrinks replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I’ll take individual freedom to vax or not, wear a mask or not. Go to work, dine out or be entertained or not. Strong support of law enforcement and tough punishment for criminals rather than coddling. Personal responsibility, low taxes , low regulation and an open economy. Fair but limited immigration, free speech and assembly. Schools that educate rather than indoctrinate. Less PC and wokeness, more live and let live. I’ll have the Red, please. -
Does anyone else sort of avoid this place after a loss?
Boatdrinks replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, I’m more likely to spend time here than any sort of national media outlet though. -
While the stat is interesting it’s more of a curiosity than a predictor. Sure, better teams tend to win their home openers but I doubt the Bills chances at a Super Bowl win would be any greater had they defeated the Steelers last Sunday. They’d be 1-0 but still a long long way from Championship glory.

Not surprising. It seems to line up with Canadian attitudes toward Coronavirus in general.

Highmark Stadium now requiring vaccination for entry
Boatdrinks replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stadium entry, vax status etc are addressed within the thread. As for what you can do if persona non grata there are some options. First request a refund by 9/17 if you have season tix. There is talk of pursuing refunds for individual games with legal action. As for attending a Bills game in person, I would suggest taking a visit to a less restrictive state and attending a Bills game there. You have @ MIA, @JAX, and @ TEN for starters. -

That explains the loss. It’s the SI jinx. -
"Bills and Titans are Frauds"
Boatdrinks replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These types of shows are all about the hot takes. If he says “ the Bills had a misstep but they’ll right the ship” no one is talking about it. Ex jock talking heads aren’t paid to be boring. All that aside, he could be right. Any Bills fan probably views this season through a Bills vs Chiefs prism. The Chiefs had their issues, but found ways to make enough plays to achieve victory. The Bills and their coaches failed at this. A long way to go, but last Sunday was a bad look for the Bills if they’re going to be considered a Super Bowl contender . -
The US Should Boycott 2022 Winter Olympics !!
Boatdrinks replied to T master's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
All future olympics should be boycotted, judging from what I saw of the last one. They’ve devolved from athletic competition to leftist propaganda orgies. -
It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
Boatdrinks replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yep. All obese Covid patients should be turned away, right ? I mean, a lifetime of poor choices put them in that predicament. A lot of hospital space would be freed up. A mostly empty hospital is the ideal business model. Lefties are truly deranged. -
Abortion Basically Illegal In Texas Now
Boatdrinks replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Exactly. What a dumb statement to make by Billsy. So woke, it’s a joke. What if a responsible man wants to have a child eventually ? -
D was not elite, but they weren’t last year either, imo. The Bills offense failed to get in the end zone, convert on 4th down, and had several head scratching decisions by the coaches. Josh had another giveaway. The STs gave up a free TD. Ballgame.

Abortion Basically Illegal In Texas Now
Boatdrinks replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
A lot of folks are just too lazy..... too lazy to work, too lazy to use contraceptives, etc. Sadly, many who end up being parents absolutely shouldn’t be. Ever. -
What exactly was that 4th down play supposed to be?
Boatdrinks replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. When I saw a replay I thought the same thing. Looked like a genius play in a blowout win at SEA that year. I’ll take josh on a 1 yard plunge for a first in that situation. Just get to the line quick, snap and go. -
Are we going to be like the obnoxious and unbearable Patriot fans?
Boatdrinks replied to Leonitas's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good question....I’ll let you know after the second Super Bowl Championship.
