  1. The late bye works well for the Bills. I think anyone would have taken 7-3 at this juncture, and now we get guys healthy for the stretch run.
  2. Freedom of the press is a bedrock of our democracy. Tear that down and you might as well pack it in.
  3. We have the inside track and the Fish are winning games with special teams plays and D. Tua hasn't been all that impressive, and as teams get film on him they'll slow him down even further. I remain optimistic about us winning the division.
  4. It will likely come down to the last game of the year but both the Bills and Fish should make the playoffs. We control our destiny; should really have no problems with LA, Denver, a banged up Niners team. The Fish have three fairly easy opponents coming up. We need to handle the Pats again, assume the Steelers is a loss, they will lose to the Chiefs and Raiders. We still have the inside track.
  5. Read something on Politico this morning about getting past Trump to Keith Richard's fight against heroin addiction. Essentially what Richards did is he just refused to acknowledge the junkies around him, refused to be dragged down with them and refused to succumb to them urging him to take another snort. While I get the Richards analogy, I would draw another one: General Douglas MacArthur. When MacArthur ignored orders from Truman, Truman finally said enough was enough and sent Ridgeway to Korea to relieve MacArthur. And the uproar was terrific. Congress had MacArthur come to give an address to the joint House and Senate. The adoration was incredible; one Congressman even went so far as to exclaim that MacArthur was God in the flesh. It was assumed he would be President, assumed that the war would be lost. Truman was excoriated by the Congress, by the press, really by the people themselves. And what happened? ridgeway turned the Korean conflict round by actually taking care of his troops, making sure they had essentials like boots and uniforms and food. MacArthur went on the lecture tour to start what all assumed would be his presidential campaign, but became so increasingly strident and illogical that he fairly quickly was ignored by even his most ardent supporters. Truman of course went on and decided not to run again, and history now looks back on him as one of the better presidents. Trump is MacArthur. He lost, he got fired, and as his ranting becomes more and more illogical he will become ignored just like MacArthur, just like the junkies around Keith Richards. Ignore him and he'll fade away.
  6. If it was Josh that made those plays we'd be crowing about what great plays he made. Murray is a special talent. Sometimes the other guy makes a good play.
  7. Terrible kick of course, but if we got rid of everyone who makes one mistake at work we'd have no businesses in the world. I would be looking for another punter because he's not doing a good job killing kicks inside the 10 yard line.
  8. Do they really? show us the breakdown of long pass plays then. You are just ridiculous. You don't care that they lost yesterday, all you care about is whether they have long pass plays because to you that's exciting.
  9. Talking about angus King as Director of National Intelligence and Michele Flournoy as Sec Def. Both very experienced and solid choices.
  10. They are specifically taking that away from the Bills. You honestly need to go take a class and learn about the game of football.
  11. Yes, Beasley caught a dozen balls. Watch the game.
  12. Tough way to lose obviously. But we got vanilla in both sides of the ball again in the 3rd quarter, and we take 4 penalties on one offensive series, one of which negates an incredible play which also lost us Smoke. Dumb stuff like that has to stop.
  13. Parler will be a nice echo chamber for those of the extreme right wing and/or Trump fanatics and will have no influence on the actual functioning of the country.
  14. Ok boys, let's matriculate the ball down the field!
  15. I certainly hope the new admin does this and I hope you’re right.
  16. Good conversation. Getting killed at work and will reply later today.
  17. I recognize my opinion is controversial. We’ve tried your approach and people are either too stubborn or ignorant to buy in. Case in point: I was traveling to Kentucky yesterday and pulled in for gas. I went into the Speedway to get a drink and saw about a dozen people in line, close together, no masks. I of course quickly backed out. This is a public health crisis. It demands that level of response. If you have people willfully putting others at harm then there needs to be consequences.
  18. The Congress did not verify a shakedown by Biden as you put it. The committee chaired by Sen Johnson found nothing to substantiate your claim. For all your protestations otherwise, this post simply shows you want Trump to win at any cost, including the destruction of the democratic principles on which our country was founded. When he said Article Two gives him the power to do anything he wants, I assume you agreed?
  19. Biden can’t do that. In Indiana where I live the governor has emergency powers he can use to shut the state down or put out a mask mandate. He did the latter earlier, but had no penalty for it. I think he should have had a fine for the first violation followed by a limited time in jail for the next.
  20. My concern is that this challenge will lead to a dictatorship. That the challenge will turn into something where state legislatures, because if their irrational fear of the incumbent, will seek to overturn the will of the people that elected Biden. And we can pack in the entire foundations of our country. I agree governmental agencies can screw up. But there simply is no evidence to suggest that tens of thousands of votes should be overturned, and despite the protests of the losing side none has been presented.
  21. You absolutely refuse to accept that states have methods to audit and certify results. What you are calling for is what the states do before finalizing counts. So if you don’t trust the states to do their job, who should?
  22. Then let me ask you this. Did you have the same opinion in 2016? 2012? 2008? 1960? Pick a year. We have a legal election this year with voters who voted legally, whose votes were counted, and one candidate won fairly convincingly. There have been much closer elections than this, and we did not have the fuss we see this year. The only reason we have so this year is the loser is not mature enough to accept the outcome.
  23. If you are not going to trust the state elections, many of which are run by Republicans in those that Trump lost, then what do you suggest? Recounting by who and to what purpose? We have an electoral system that has worked for centuries. Why are so many now wanting to upset the apple cart because Trump decided in advance there was no way he could lose? He lost. The vote will be finalized, certified, and we’ll move on.
