Innervation is supply of nervous tissue to an area; it has nothing to do with blood supply. You are referring to blood flow or to use another term, perfusion. The peripheral parts of the meniscus can get direct blood flow; the majority (around 70%) of the meniscus gets O2supply and such from the synovial fluid within the joint. One of the reasons microfracture surgery is used to treat cartilage damage is it promotes blood flow to areas that are avascular normally, and brings in progenitor cells that can help generate new tissue. The meniscus act as a sort of shock absorber inside the joint. If (let me repeat IF!!!) he sustained a meniscus injury such as a tear then they could scope him to remove the fragment. They haven’t done that. If it’s a lateral or medial collateral ligament sprain they treat the swelling and such and maybe put him in a brace. I suspect - SUSPECT - if they though it was an ACL or PCL he’d have had an MRI today. Thexanswer is there is no answer yet. Reckless guesses just panic people innecessarily.

I’m an adult, and have a doctorate in Anatomy. The term you were looking for was blood supply, not innervation. The blood supply to the meniscus is pretty limited and primarily through the synovium. No one in this thread can diagnose what what happened to him based on the replay, or the few seconds of the sideline shot with the trainers. So we all should quit guessing.

It’s a we’ve shown you over and over again and you won’t believe fact response. Let’s go over the things we’re asked to do and apply it to the playoff game: 1. Wear masks. I am quite sure that will be mandatory for the playoff game. 2. Distance. The 6700 is a tenth of the capacity of the Ralph. That allows for spacing or, put another way, distancing. 3. Any gatherings should be limited in number and preferably outside. Limited in number -see above. As for outside, last time I checked no one had slapped a dome over the Ralph. 4. Hand washing. You want to place bets on how many sanitizing stations will be there? I don’t know this for sure, but I would be willing to bet tailgating will be eliminated or at minimum severely curtailed in the lots operated by the team. Your act is old and tired. All experts in the field say that these mitigating strategies, if used by all, would significantly stop viral spread. But they’re not. People are either not wearing masks or wearing them improperly. People are congregating inside in poorly ventilated spaces. You know it; quit pretending you don’t.

He was an absolutely terrible HC. Should have done this a while ago. -
The fallacy of establishing the run
oldmanfan replied to WIDE LEFT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As one of the older folks around here, I am partial to the running game. I think even in today's game, if you give me a strong O line on both sides of the ball, with a couple RB's that can pound the ball, I'd take my chances. But your point is well taken. When you have a weapon like Allen, with receivers like Diggs, you use them. -

Just watched the Mafia segment on the ESPN pregame. They said a donor ponied up over 200k to push the Patricia Allen fund over a million. Brought tears to my eyes. Anybody else? Been a fan since the team started in 1960. Was proud then (even as a 5 year old), proud through the good and bad years, and proud as can be to be part of the Mafia. To all my fellow Bills fans, you’re the best. -

Chicago Teachers Union: 'The Push To Reopen Schools
oldmanfan replied to Unforgiven's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
There is ample evidence now to indicate little kids harbor a lot of virus but aren’t significant sources of spread. Elementary schools should open but still with masks and distancing as a precaution. -
If Trump loses and refuses to leave

If he refuses to leave arrest him, charge him with sedition, convict him, and throw his ass in jail. Why are we pandering to this child?
