Again.. Dorsey was a big nothing burger. played four years...2 with sf and 2 with cleaveland 16 total starts. 52% completion and 2082 total yards. 130 yards a game and 25 sacks.... this is our leader.....

am i missing something?.....where here screams...oh...i should definetely let this guy lead a team with superbowl asperations and unicorn at qb? https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/4699/ken-dorsey
-
not entirely..but he has had success playing that way....but i look at the replay a lot of times and there are 3 recievers past the line of scrimmage...two bunched together and all just past the line of scrimmage and heavily covered. its like they focus on a play on one person and the rest just go out to block/play decoy...of course this isnt every play...but far to often.
-
my problem is.... he sucked as a qb..ok....and where did he suddenly accrue all this knowledge to lead an offense?
-
well...when we had all of our D starters we were leading the league in turnovers i believe. but your right..we are missing stars. Beane is has been good drafting lower rounds and horrible first and second round. Its put the team in a bind because then your spending money trying to cover your ass on players missed on the draft. To me thats one of the biggest fears bout players llke poyer and hyde getting over the hill and why they are still around...i dont trust them to be able to draft replacements and i dont think they have faith in it either.
-
yet last week didnt he lead the offense?
-
The offense has been all over the place. some games we spread the ball all around....See last week , see maimi. some weeks we only throw to diggs regardless. some weeks are more like today... in between
-
why isnt Josh making Dorsey look great then?
-
im not saying im a fan of the rotation. I dont think its showed enough merit for the most part to retain. but...if there were elite players out there....they would show up. take kinkaid...Offense i know but.. regardless of how limited his playtime is...u see it. Look at bernard. Not saying he is elite but his talent on the field still popped.
-
a lot of times they were...but thats out defensive scheme for the most part. It gives less athletic players a chance to make a play and keep the play in front of them. but..again thats a lot to do with injuries as well. Also burrow was excellent at getting the ball out fast and accurately and for the most part his receivers caught the ball. the Bills dbs layed some big hits
-
burrow was a slug week six due to his calf....
-
A lot of it is the roster. why do u think they pay a billion dollars for over the hill stars? because they havent been able to find thier own.... drafting in the first couple rounds has killed this roster and made it harder to build than it should have been.
-
Another thought, for those Bitching about the D. Burrow was dead nuts on most of throws. His receivers are big and fast. Thier OC called a pretty good game. Yet they didnt run way on the scoreboard and half the starting D along with their backups were out. Put Cinci's offense against thier own D and your looking at 35 points

LOL that pretty much explains 20 years of suck

i think that he thought that Dorsey could do enought to just continue what Daboll started and Josh was far enough along to carry the rest of the team. Josh wasnt that far along and Dorsey hasnt been able to grow.
-
lets look at who's been teaching Josh the intricacies of football, beyond see receiver, throw the ball. that was one of major reasons I hated the Dorsey hire. Selecting what play to run is maybe a 10th of the job of an OC. You take someone like Andy Reid and theres a vast amount of knowledge about every part of the offense that is taught to entire offense. What does Dorsey have to offer knowlege and scheme wise beyond what josh and the players dont already know? The offense is regressing and its not surprising. there's no knowledge, no insight being added and some of the things that were probably taught before arent now.
-
just because he's better than dorsey doesnt mean i want Daboll back. we came out conservative af in the first half against the chiefs in the championship game. when it finally became apparent we better do something Daboll finally got agressive and we almost won. then there was the whole 50 passes in a row and were just going to throw 50 yards on every down. I'm pretty convinced that Dorsey picked up a lot of Dabolls bad traits and doesnt know enough to scheme is own stuff well enough to be efficient

isnt it 2023?
-
thats hard to say when they looked unstoppable on the first drive...and then what happened? did he take a nap untill the fourth? take him that long to find dabolls playbook?

Tonight will let us know if we can contend
Comebackkid replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
showed us were are the same discombobulated team we have been most of the year. -
Maybe it was, too similar

Well and the blind guy for the bills

Concussion
-
Which is why I said earlier even with the wounded defense it's done its job against a high-powered offense for the most part

And More Physical
