    this will be our third halloween in this house. the first year we had one kid show up. the next year, we had two. i'm not even going to god damn bother this year.

    agreed. i think next years team is going to be build through the draft and middle of the road free agents. i could be wrong, but i don't see these guys dumping a ton of money into fa.

    this is my take on it as well. i think they just decided to roll with the season with what they had, and if the wins come, great. i think the early success threw us all off a bit, but at this point i want this staff to stick to their plan, (whatever it actually is) and build what they envision.

    i still can't figure out what the fascination is with this staff and tolbert. i just want to see what banyard can do.

    while i understand the idea, the bills may not have to trade up to get a qb they want. as of this point, i definitely like where the team is headed. they just don't have the personnel yet. this is it. i'm not going to worry about the draft at this point. if the right management is actually in place, they'll make the picks work.

    i think this is what people need to realize. this year certainly isn't the finished product...if anything, it's a stripped down version of it. will it be tough to be competitive and still miss the playoffs if that's the outcome, but this is going to take another year or two to put pieces in place and establish depth.

    i always just assumed that he was desperate, and the bills were desperate. it all worked out pretty nicely.

    i hear ya, and it's all fair. i was just thinking it was a more impressive win than some are making it out to be because it was away, and the bills certainly weren't at full strength either. either way, as you mentioned, it's hard not to be happy with the win.

    he's not as big as i thought he'd be.

    people keep mentioning the bolded, but come on...even with the "star talent" out, i think the falcons are still a better team on paper than the bills. not to mention that the bills started the game without their starting lt and de, while losing the wlb and wr1 during the game.

    oh i hear ya. i was just responding to code. i'm not sure why he mentioned that in regards to young athletes, but it was a good point.
