  1. i've been here a short time, and even i know this is ironic.
  2. what's the inside info? do you not think that cyrus may have some mental/attitude problems that may negate any talent the possess? it's not hard to understand. there are some people on this board that live to complain. cyrus was cut. those people couldn't wait to grab the pitchforks and torches to attack the new staff? how could they?! he could play! well...in a very short amount of time he's been cut from two teams. maybe our staff knew more about cryus than fans, which let to them letting him go. not that hard. again, maybe some need to see how things play out before saying the moves are wrong. they may end up being terrible moves, but as another poster mentioned, some just want to be the first to call out failures, (which happens a lot in the nfl) and come back with an i told you so attitude. edit: also, where do you get info that he was a "tireless worker with a great attitude" that worked his tail off in the offseason? you have a tendency to put complete nonsense out there without backing it up. you may be right, but show me where you get this stuff.
  3. You and me both. What an awesome throw down that would be.
  4. the point is you were saying it was a terrible thing to let him go without knowing the inside info. sometimes it's worth seeing how things play out before getting too angry.
  5. so, you agree that you were a bit premature about heavily complaining about losing a guy that has some serious issues?
  6. wasn't this one of the many complaints you've had lately? that the bills just let him go when he could be a decent replacement? i think it's pretty obvious now that there was more going on than most fans know.
  7. i was really thinking in the 8-8 range a few months ago. i was trying to stick with it, but after watching these last few preseason games, (i get that it's only preseason) i'm going to roll it back to 6 wins.
  8. he is...not that it's not deserving. it's ok not to be angry all the time though.
  9. scott, i don't think anyone is blindly following what the bills are doing. i see what's happening, and i don't understand/agree with it completely, but there's nothing we can do but watch and wait. the difference is that some decide not to B word constantly about it. some poster's entire history deal with them just shooting out insults and one liners about how awful the team is, how bad the management is, etc. these people literally can't carry on a normal conversation. just because some don't constantly complain doesn't mean they're on board with everything.
  10. this is at least the second time someone has described what's happening with the bills as a marketing strategy, and this is the second time i just don't understand the concept.
  11. i just don't care about hogan anymore. why bother?
  12. i'm kinda with you on this. i think there are definite uses medically, but the big push by people really is for recreational use, which is great.
  13. i always assumed that once nj or penn went legal, ny would finally give in as well. it would be great if nj went next, but like in ny, i thought christie was against it during his term. on no doubt. i didn't even realize it, but there's a big grow facility here in rochester in one of the old kodak buildings. it's for medical use, but apparently it's an impressive set up.
  14. have you heard rumblings about it? the last i heard in ny was that it was going to be discussed in the local government right before their summer break. i haven't heard anything about it since. my understanding is cuomo doesn't want to be the guy to do it, so i don't know if it's going to take a new governor or what.
  15. it sure is in mass. i assume when more boarder states are involved, ny will go that way as well. we just like to do things slow and annoying around here.
  16. sounds right. i was in college and living with some guys from denver at the time. i just remember them playing up how the broncos won, even having to "overcome adversity". the next year flutie started, and it has been gross ever since.
  17. you know rush has a bizarre dislike for tyrod right? i think taylor is a sub par qb too, but it's something that makes rush wake up in cold sweats at night.
  18. you might be right. i'm pretty sure the bills played denver in a night game in 97...which i assume was a monday nighter. if i remember there was a massive snow storm in denver, and guys had to be dug out, barley making it to buffalo. todd collins was the qb, and the game was a low scoring stinker.
