i do appreciate that. I've never understood why someone puts themselves through the misery if they dislike it so much. you're definitely not someone who shows up with angry rants on the board. if it's not worth your time, just move on. it sure is much better than being angry about it.

we have two heat pumps and air handlers, (i have no idea what i'm talking about, so ignore me if i'm way off) and the new one we have a great. the ones that were presents when we moved in were way to anemic, and could never heat the house properly. we have a weird situation where we're all electric, and the electric is cheap. we do have a propane tank, but not the large ones to heat the house. the only time it gets pricey is if it drops to below 10 or so for extended periods of time. then it will run constantly, and we can have bills in the $450-500 range. that being said, we crank the air in summer, have our pool set to 87-90, and it may cost me $200 a month.

wasn't this done years ago by the author patricia cornwell? if i remember the story, she spent millions of her own money on the project. at that time, they thought they had dna from an envelope the ripper sent, (i'm pretty sure i have this correct). her theory was that i was an artist, who eventually moved to france to study...hence the murders stopping in england. his painting often depicted scenes that were shocking similar to the crime scenes, and similar murders happened when he later moved to france. they just weren't publicized in the same way.

of course not. i even have my kids draped in bills gear. it's pathetic to think that anyone is actually embarrassed to wear bills gear, but i guarantee there are a few on this board who are.

my wife and i have a weird thing going on. she ALWAYS too hot, and i'm always too cold, (with men and women it's usually the other way around). i turn it up a bit in the winter, and you'd think she was living on the equator. she likes it so cold in the summer that i have to go outside to warm up sometimes. in wny, that's total bull####.

our downstairs heat is always at 72 in the winter. our upstairs is typically at 69, (giggidy). if our upstairs thermostat is changed by 1 degree, it really throws things off. for ac, 72/71 downstairs, 70/71 upstairs.

Lol! That’s very fair. It’s starts to get hairy in December. I think I don’t mind too much because it plays into Christmas a bit, but it was certainly cold this year in December.
