  1. i have to imagine they'll salvage any stone they can and build up around it as others have mentioned. we were in venice a few years ago, and there's a famous opera house that caught on fire, burned down, and apparently took a large part of the neighborhood with it. it was being worked on by contractors at the time. as the story goes, in italy, (not sure if this applies to europe or how this works) if a contractor is not on schedule, they'll be penalized for being late. apparently to avoid this from happening, one of the workers set a small fire to back up the schedule and avoid that penalty. well...it raged out of control, and did more damage than anyone could have realized. they'll rebuild, but i can't imagine how much history is lost there.
  2. when i read the headline i thought it was on the nd campus and thought, "good...***** em". now that i know that's not the case, i'm sad.
  3. I’ve been waiting for this apology for days. Still not good enough.
  4. I’m starting to think you should post more often.
  5. This thread has a little bit of everything.
  6. I’d be down for it. A little more off season razzle dazzle.
  7. that's what people get for going to the olive garden.
  8. think about all the chaffing!
  9. expect a cb or a rb, and be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't happen.
  10. i can't even wrap my head around this.

  12. i think i've had enough of all of this.
  13. well, at least she know she has no skills. i remember watching what i think was an mtv reality show where one of the cast made a comment like they just couldn't imagine having a life where you get up and have to go to work every day. what the hell do people do with all that time? i only work 4 days a week and i feel guilty about that sometimes. it would be fun to be young and free, but what does someone in their 40s and 50s do all day without work?
  14. does anyone else find it hard to trust a man with two first names?
  15. what the ***** is all this?
  16. it's called peacocking.
  17. yes i would, and i'd be really filthy about it. i think she needs a night like that.
  18. as others have mentioned, if this is the case, i'd put up the grand. that being said, you're a younger guy, and most clients understand that and don't expect you fork out a lot of money. if you can, great, but if i were in their shoes, i'd be happy that you came and contributed, no matter how much you gave. edit: it seems like a formal event, so i'd probably go with a suit, and that's coming from a guy who almost never, ever wears suits. you can even go mid-way and wear a matching pants/jacket combo with no tie. ( a less formal suit...i tend to get them at banana republic because they fit well off the rack).
  19. was that done on purpose?
  20. that's different because they pay me. does that make me a *****?
  21. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! not bad!
  22. i wonder what kind of cost there is bringing a dead guy to a hospital.
