  1. Richardson's decision to sell the team will likely end NFL investigation http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/12/17/richardsons-decision-likely-will-end-nfl-investigation/
  2. Yeah I know they technically don't. I just meant hopefully he will retire in a Bills jersey and that be the last team he played for, so he would be looked at as a Buffalo Bill still (and hopefully be linked to Buffalo for numerous records (like the 10k yds he hit today, and if he hits 12k yds or any other milestone from now to then - I want it to happen in a Bills jersey)). I just don't want to see him finish his amazing career in another jersey. When he talks at his HOF induction, I want it to be about the team that gave him his start (Eagles) and the team that he was traded to where he finished his storied career (Bills).
  3. From the posts I seen, you didn't say Glenn was going on injured reserve and having surgery. You said he was damaged goods and would be hard to trade. I remember commenting on it because you also said Beane wanted to trade him for a 4th and roster player. I was surprised to hear that because all the reports said that the Bills had Glenn's trade value high, wanted a ton for Glenn in a trade and the cost was prohibitive to Seattle so a deal didn't get done. Also, that ESPN article was just them projecting QBs for every QB needy team, and they mentioned Alex Smith and Buffalo. It It was written 3 days ago. So if you said it 2 days ago, that was a day after it was written. And from what I remember, all you originally said is that Buffalo was discussing the trade of a big player with KC. You never said a specific name until recently. Feel free to link your posts though if I am wrong. If I am I will apologize. I actually enjoy your posts. Just trying to keep the record honest...
  4. He said today that he wants to finish his career here, while hitting 12,000 yds and winning a super bowl. Sounds good to me! lol Foe real though, I do hope he gets to retire a Buffalo Bill (and go into the HOF as a Bill).
  5. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/What-theyre-saying-Bills-discuss-home-win-over-Miami/22c74ef0-adba-4cf1-8014-55d5984aca5c Reading McCoy and K. Williams post game interviews really help illustrate the culture change that's taken place since McDermottmtook over. Edit - sorry the font is so big, I don't know how to fix it.
  6. Damn, you scared me! I thought you you were posting that he's having season ending surgery.
  7. Oh man. They sure made that interesting. My stomach is still doing backflips right now. lol
  8. Wasn't Kubiak the one calling plays in Denver?
  9. Damn it McCoy. You may have just cost Buffalo 3 points.
  10. Phew. I thought the offense took a penalty there
  11. Miami pooch kicked it to the 10 (ish) yard line. He couldn't have kneeled it down on that kickoff.
  12. Wish Thompson could have stayed in bounds but a nice catch none the less.
  13. Offense has to do something on this drive. Better not go ultra safe again.
  14. Damn. Thanks Adolphus Washington for giving Miami 7 points. I blame Dennison as well for the ultra conservative drive that helped set Miami up with good field position, as well as that horse collar tackle that gave them 1/2 the distance to the goal line. Lots of blame to go around on that TD...
  15. The poll was approve or disapprove, and so far I approve and am glad to see that most who voted do too. I dont think anyone had Buffalo as a .500 team before the season started, either. Everyone, even Vegas, had them as one of the worst teams in the NFL and gave them 4 wins, or maybe 6 wins at best. So yeah, I'd say that being 7-6 while currently in the tear down stages of a rebuild is pretty good. The main reason I was happy is because sometimes your perspective gets skewed when viewing these boards. Before this poll I would have guessed that there were many less posters that approved of McDermott. Shoot, I've seen numerous threads and posters calling for his firing already (which is just ridiculous). But I guess it's just more of a case of the people who dislike McDermott being more vocal than many of his supporters. So yes, I was happy to see his approval rating in this poll. Perosnally, I think he's done a lot of good things and am excited to see what the future brings when he has more talent to work with. I don't think he's a COY candidate or anything, but so far I'm happy with him.
  16. Yeah, I'll be interested to see if Tyrod is willing to throw him any jump balls (when he's not wide open) like Peterman has.
  17. This poll makes me happy to see. Reading this board sometimes, I sure wouldn't guess that this poll would be a landslide in favor of McD...
  18. For as much crap as this coaching staff takes, they really do seem to be letting guys compete for jobs and starting the guy who earns it. It may may not happen immediately, but for the most part the guy who is playing better has been the one who has earned the startling job.
  19. Who is debating this "Who is better with a Tyrod, Rex vs McDermott?" thing you keep talking about? I haven't seen anyone but you bring that up. I am pretty sure everyone realizes that this this is a completely different team than Rex had. There are over 50 new players and only 20 some left from Rex's tenure (if that). Rex is being talked about because he was out head coach just last year and ex Bills players keep talking about what a clown show it was (sorry, I know you were a big Rex Ryan fan...). What nickell Robert-Coleman said has nothing to do with Tyrod. You realize this would be a discussion even if Tyrod wasn't here, right? Also, I see the majority of this board blaming Tyrod for the things that are his fault. Not a single person here thinks he is a HOF QB. Seems to me like the majority here are ready to move on... Im not defending Tyrod either, so don't try to say that I am. This post has nothing to do with that. I think he has sucked this year and I look forward to having a better QB under center. I am really hoping that they can somehow land one of the top QBs in this draft.
  20. Since Goff's turnaround is being mentioned quite a bit, I think it's fair to mention that Sean McVay is probably playing a very large role in that. McVay is basically taking one of the hardest parts of being a QB away from Goff and doing it himself. He's lining the offense up early and using the headset to read the defensive coverage for Goff, and telling him where coverage dictates the ball should go (as well as getting him into the proper checks). It seems like a bit of a loophole in the rules to me, but I'm not sure how you'd correct it... Really, it's just a damn smart move by McVay. That's some Belichick, Patriots type stuff. Being smart enough to find ways to exploit the current rules to give your team every possible advantage. Now obviously Goff also deserves credit for his turn around, too. He's the one out there executing the play calls and throwing the ball. But im just saying, you have to wonder where he'd be at without McVay doing what he is. That takes a Ton of pressure off a young QB. Goff is damn lucky to have a coach like that.
  21. That's the only clause I could find, too. Why would Ralph or Mary Wilson put that clause in the sale contract? To make the team harder to sell, and to make sure less people were interested in bidding? It would only make sense if it were to keep the team in Buffalo. But If that were the case and there was a clause to build a stadium in WNY, Bon Jovi and the Toronto group wouldn't have even made a bid. And they wouldn't have had to try and convince Mary Wilson that they weren't going to move the team (like they tried) because it wouldn't have been possible. Im not even sure that Ralph Wilson could stipulate that a new owner has to build a stadium 8 years after purchasing the team. That just sounds totally ridiculous to me. The way I understand it, Ralph did everything he could to deter the team from moving with that iron clad lease at Ralph Wilson that he signed while he was still owner. Other than that, and dictating/asking to his wife not to sell the team to someone who would move them, there wasn't much else he could do to keep the team here. Once the sale is made it's all up to the new owner. I don't see how you could dictate to a new owner what he is and isn't able to do with his team. What would be the point in purchasing it then?
