  1. Why do people seem to assume that we would have won that game with Tyrod starting? With how terrible the ENTIRE team played during that Chargers game, I don't think it would have mattered who started. Even with 0 interceptions in that game, you can't win with the way the team played (as a whole) that day. And it's not like Tyrod was playing great leading up to his benching. What did he have, like 50 yards total his previous game? I just looked - 56 yards total, 50% completion percentage, 3.1 yards per attempt. Plus, Peterman looked damn good in mop up duty during that Saints game. He was moving the ball much better than Tyrod had been. He had more yards and TD's in less than 5 minutes than Tyrod had in 3 and 2/3rds quarters. He also had more first downs on his final drive than Tyrod had All Day! (the offense only had 10 1st downs and 5 came on the final drive...). I can see why they started Peterman the next game.. The season was very quickly slipping away after that Saints game. The team needed a spark, and it worked. The Bills have won 3 of 4 since then. In hindsight, Peterman obviously wasn't ready to start yet. But that game wasn't even close to all his fault (did you see how putrid the o line played??). How many of those interceptions were truly on him anyway? Maybe 2?
  2. It was actually Donald Jones who mentioned that he wonders if Rams fans felt the same way during this season, wondering if they could keep up with the big boys because if their past history & record. The Rams have a very long playoff drought themselves. Last year was their 12th consecutive year without playoffs... I believe it was the 3rd longest playoff drought in all professional sports. Just look at what they have done from 2005 to current.... Up until this year, their best season (since 2005) was 8-8. Starting in 2005 their win total was 6 wins (2005), 8 wins (2006, which was their best season up until this year), 3 wins, 2 wins, 1 win, 7 wins, 2 wins, 7 wins, 7 wins, 6 wins, 7 wins, 4 wins (2016). So so it's really not that far fetched to compare the teams runs of futility and what the fans have been through (remember, there are a lot of Rams fans in LA that have followed the team since they left in 1994). Jones and Murphy's point was that both teams have new coaches that look to have changed the culture and have the team going in the right direction, and in the Bills case they also have new people in charge from top to bottom - owners, GM, front office staff, personnel and scouting staff. So they don't think it really make sense to compare the current team/coaches/etc. to the failed ones of the past and assume that they are going to make all the same mistakes they usually do. IMO, I think its a fair point.
  3. My whole life I was always of the mind that, as D.C. Tom said, there are no bad dogs, just bad owners. Ive had dogs my entire life, from the time I was about 2yrs old. Never went more than a few months without having at least 1 dog in my house. Ive had all sorts of different dog breeds. From pure breds to mutts. Never once had a dog that bit or nipped or even showed any type of aggression... Until I rescued a pit bull mix. I had him from the time he was a small puppy. I rescued him from a guy I'm pretty sure was abusing him. It was was the sweetest dog most of the time, but began showing signs of aggression that only got worse over time no matter what I seemed to try. It started as growling. Then it got to the point where he would just snap out of nowhere and try to bite. It was hard to predict when it would happen or what set him off. He ended up visciously attacking my father. Put him in the hospital for 3-4 days from the attack. Definitely the worst dog attack I've ever seen. Clamped on to his leg and wouldn't let go until I went over and grabbed him by the scruff of the neck. That was was the first and only pit bull Ive ever owned. I know there are many good pit bulls out there. I have friends and family who own them. They can be great, loyal, smart, obedient dogs. I honestly still have guilt to this day over that dog (it ended up having to be out down after that attack). I feel like there should have been something I could have done to correct this behavior. I take a lot of pride in the way I care for my animals. I never abused him or anything like that. Always treated the dog well. Like I said, I have always believed that saying about "no bad dogs, just bad owners". But I really don't know what else I could have done different with this dog. The thing that makes me wonder about pit bulls is that I've never had this issue with any other dogs I've owned, and I've owned lots. Maybe I just didn't know how to handle the aggression properly...
  4. Winning is the best revenge, and IMO the only real thing that will have a true impact on Gronk and the Patriots. A revenge cheap shot shot is not the right way to handle things IMO. 2 wrongs don't make a right. If they want to hit him legally, I'm good with that. Just do it within the rules of the game. I want to see the Bills players be adults about this situation, not kids/teens. Win the damn game. That's all that matters. A cheap shot just puts that Bills player on the same level as Gronk. I'd rather see them be the better man.
  5. I thought they looked really good in the first. They pretty much controlled the play. Then, for some unknown reason, they seemed to just stop doing most of the things that were bringing them success. They just totally went away from the game plan... That has been a common theme with this team for a few years now. It has to drive a coach crazy.
  6. I don't see how Jones could have really tracked that ball much better. It looked to me that he was running full speed the entire route, and I thought he did lay out trying to catch it (watch him stretch and fall trying to catch the ball). I really don't see much else Zay could have done on that one. I guess you could maaybbee say that he paused for like a millisecond when turning to look for the ball. But I have a hard time saying that was a catchable ball by Tyrod (and you know I'm not a Tyrod hater).
  7. I don't have any real interest in trying to build around Tyrod. I am fine if he's back for next year since his deal runs through the end of next season anyway. It actually makes sense to bring him back for next year if they can't find a veteran upgrade . BUT... I'd want the Bills to draft a QB to groom if they were bringing TT back.
  8. Sounds good. Surprised to hear its (supposedly) east of Buffalo, though. I thought for sure it'd be downtown. Hope they don't build it too far to the East. I don't have much interest in driving to Rochester for a game. If its east of Buffalo, I'm thinking maybe Batavia. I believe there was talk of a possibility of a stadium built there IIRC.
  9. I keep seeing so many members of the media (national and local), as well as fans on social media, blaming Peterman for that Chargers game and putting this playoff drought on his shoulders (if the Bills do miss by a game). Did they not watch how the rest of the team played for that LAC game?!? They must just be looking at the box score or something... The entire team sucked, from offense to defense to special teams. The O line played one of the worst games I have ever seen them play. Pretty much everyone just stunk it up that game. I just hate hate seeing it all put on Peterman like that. It's not fair.
  10. Thid is sad, but it still made me laugh. Im glad that at least I haven't lost my sense of humor when it comes to the Bills...
  11. Damn, Carolina would be lucky to have him as owner. He won 5 Super Bowls in 14 years! Although he is getting older now (71).
  12. No. He has 2 more years left (2018, 2019) after this one. Not really any difference in cap hit for 2018 and 2019. 2018 it's $8.95M and 2019 it's $9.05M The dead cap hit is less in 2019 though. ($5.25M for 2018 and $2.6M for 2019)
  13. I understand that it pushes our own draft picks to later in the round(s). I just didn't get the part about "in a draft year when we've garnered so many high draft picks at such a high cost". Why does our win-loss record matter when it comes to the high picks we have garnered from other teams?
  14. Why do our wins matter when it comes to the extra picks we have?
  15. Schopp is way way worse IMO. Honestly, I dont know if he even realizes that he runs an opinion based call in radio show. He always seems so amazed and pissed off that someone dares call in to his show with a different opinion than his. lol I like John Murphy. I think he always treats the fans who call in with respect, and I generally value his opinion (most of the time, anyway).
  16. In the top right corner of the tweet, there's that little down arrow (v). Click on it and then click on "Copy link to tweet". Then post the link here and after you post it a little prompt pops up at the bottom and says "link posted as rich text. Post as plain text instead?" Click on "post as plain text" and it will embed the tweet.
  17. The Buffalo News did a break down of every scenario for getting in to the playoffs assuming we lose in New England and win at Miami. http://buffalonews.com/2017/12/17/what-the-bills-need-to-make-the-playoffs-if-they-lose-to-the-patriots-and-beat-the-dolphins/ (Don't worry, Its one of their free articles...lol) Im not gonna drive myself nuts with all these scenarios, though. I'll just be rooting for 2 more wins! Or at least a win in Miami. Either way, 8-8 (at worst) is a pretty damn good 1st year for a rookie head coach in year one of a roster purge and rebuild. Can't wait to see what McD does next year with all those draft picks (and maybe some free agent acquisitions, too. We may be a more desirable place to play since our D looks pretty good and our O has some nice weapons as well).
  18. http://raiderswire.usatoday.com/2017/12/12/raiders-qb-derek-carrs-regression-under-pressure-by-the-numbers-revealed/ They say that according to PFF the line has actually been better this year than last year with its pass protection, and yet his QB rating has fallen from 70 (under pressure) to 43.
  19. Richardson's decision to sell the team will likely end NFL investigation http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/12/17/richardsons-decision-likely-will-end-nfl-investigation/
  20. Yeah I know they technically don't. I just meant hopefully he will retire in a Bills jersey and that be the last team he played for, so he would be looked at as a Buffalo Bill still (and hopefully be linked to Buffalo for numerous records (like the 10k yds he hit today, and if he hits 12k yds or any other milestone from now to then - I want it to happen in a Bills jersey)). I just don't want to see him finish his amazing career in another jersey. When he talks at his HOF induction, I want it to be about the team that gave him his start (Eagles) and the team that he was traded to where he finished his storied career (Bills).
  21. From the posts I seen, you didn't say Glenn was going on injured reserve and having surgery. You said he was damaged goods and would be hard to trade. I remember commenting on it because you also said Beane wanted to trade him for a 4th and roster player. I was surprised to hear that because all the reports said that the Bills had Glenn's trade value high, wanted a ton for Glenn in a trade and the cost was prohibitive to Seattle so a deal didn't get done. Also, that ESPN article was just them projecting QBs for every QB needy team, and they mentioned Alex Smith and Buffalo. It It was written 3 days ago. So if you said it 2 days ago, that was a day after it was written. And from what I remember, all you originally said is that Buffalo was discussing the trade of a big player with KC. You never said a specific name until recently. Feel free to link your posts though if I am wrong. If I am I will apologize. I actually enjoy your posts. Just trying to keep the record honest...
  22. He said today that he wants to finish his career here, while hitting 12,000 yds and winning a super bowl. Sounds good to me! lol Foe real though, I do hope he gets to retire a Buffalo Bill (and go into the HOF as a Bill).
  23. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/What-theyre-saying-Bills-discuss-home-win-over-Miami/22c74ef0-adba-4cf1-8014-55d5984aca5c Reading McCoy and K. Williams post game interviews really help illustrate the culture change that's taken place since McDermottmtook over. Edit - sorry the font is so big, I don't know how to fix it.
