  1. I still can't believe that call was overturned. Un freaking real
  2. Another bull **** overturned call
  3. Thanks. So our only shot at this point is a Ravens loss then
  4. Question guys - If the Ravens, Chargers and Titans win what does that do for us? I remember something about a 3 way tie between us, LA and Ten.
  5. Ravens score. 24-17 bengals.
  6. Kim Pegula looks just like I do watching this game. I've been standing and pacing just about the entire game. lol
  7. I don't remember Alonso being this type of (dirty) player in Buffalo...
  8. You think it was the right call? I had had a really hard time telling from the angles they showed on TV. I thought for sure that there was no way they'd overturn it. I was shocked when they did. Defimitely nice to see a call go Buffalo's way for a change. Let's just hope the Bills get some in their favor tomorrow!
  9. Well said. I can't even imagine what this city would be like tomorrow if everything goes right. I'm excited and very nervous. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have hope of things working out. But I'm tying notmto be too hopeful... Whatever happens, it's definitely nice to actually see a meaningful Bills regular season finale. Go Bills! And go Bengals, Raiders and Jaguars!
  10. I found this kind of strange - http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000900056/article/whos-safe-whos-out-afc-coaches-on-hot-seat They just hired Gus Bradley at the start of this season. Wonder why they only gave him a 1 year contract...? That doesn't show much faith in him (or in Anthony Lynn's ability to hire a DC).
  11. I am already super nervous about tomorrow. I allowed myself to start dreaming what it would be like if we win tomorrow and things actually go Buffalo's way in the other game(s)... Can you even imagine?
  12. If I were an NFL owner, there would only be a tiny, tiny percentage of coaches that I would offer an ownership stake to, and Gruden is not one of them. I always thought Gruden was a pretty good coach but I don't really understand the crazy hype there seems to be around him.
  13. Ok Dunkirk Don I went back again and checked the record. Here is your first post on Glenn. No mention of injured reserve. This post is on page 29 of this thread for anyone interested. It goes from page 29 to page 48 Then came this post on December 15th after Glenn went on injured reserve. (It's the top post on page 48 of this thread) Members 143 696 posts Report post Posted December 15 (edited) Forgot to mention. On Monday my source reported Glenn was damaged goods and would be out for the season. Glenn on injured reserve. Two for two this week. Make fun all you want. But he told me about peterman, Webb and Thomas plus the surprise Webb package for this Sunday. It is not a memo but an email. And FYI I have shared the email with others on the board Check out my earlier posts and tell me which is not true Edited December 15 by Dunkirk Don Quote so, like I said, you never mentioned Glenn on injured reserve until after it happened. The Kansas City stuff starts on page 23. Here is what you said - Dunkirk Don RFA Members 143 696 posts Report post Posted December 13 "Stadium will be open air with 67000 with roughly 75 luxury boxes. Built east of Buffalo. Property around area being gobbled up. Again, my investment banker friend is working many of the deals. Follow the money. Owner committed to tailgating atmosphere and easy access in and out. Kyle is leaning toward returning. Loves McDermott. Sam Bradford is in the mix but very low option. Joe Webb will have bigger role this week. We are looking to free up more money. Will be more active in free agency than before. Will go after experienced Qb for back up regardless who is under center. Want to get draft picks for Taylor and Glenn they will be lower round but package to move up. McDermott and Beane had major disagreement over keeping Holmes, decasse and not releasing them for compensatory pick. Beane wanted extra third rounder to make move. Smoke starting in Kansas City. Source says teams are talking regarding player and draft picks. Won’t speculate right now because people will hate on me. When it becomes more solid, I will pass on" Then you said this (page 25 of this thread) - Members 143 696 posts Report post Posted December 13 "I did not say it was smith. My source has yet to confirm player only there is some smoke. If kc does not win the west, it may open up an option." You only began saying it was Alex Smith after that article came out speculating what QBs could be playing for different teams next year that mentioned Smith and Buffalo.
  14. I did check the record Don. You signed up for Two Bills Deive on November 20th. The Dareus and Benjamin trades happened on October 27th. How could you have predicted them a month before before you even created your account here?
  15. How did you predict the Benjamin trade? Or the Dareus trade? They were both traded in October, and you didn't sign up at TBD until the end of November. Also, nothing has been proven regarding the Cousins deal, the Bills interest in Smith, their free agent list, or this spider web trap that you keep saying we will see every week. Time may very well prove you right, but it hasn't happened yet. And as ive addressed with you before, you did not call Glenn going to injured reserve until AFTER he went on injured reserve. Originally you just said that he was damaged goods and would be hard to trade. You never said anything at all about injured reserve until after he went on it. I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything. You've provided some info. Like Peterman being out, and we will see what other info is correct in the future. No reason to lie about what you've said in the past though if you're truly telling the truth. That's my only point. Its very easy to look back at your post history and see what you've said, and when you've said it.
  16. So sorry to hear this. I just recently went through something similar similar with my dog. They prescribed a steroid pill for him that actually bought him some extra time and got him eating + drinking again. He was a pure bred Alaskan Malamute. I found a lump growing on his leg and it ended up being cancer. We had it removed and it came back. So they gave us the choice of letting it go, chemo or amputation of the leg+ shoulder. They said amputation was the best bet. So we had it done. The doctor checked him for cancer elsewhere in his body before the surgery and during the operation itself. He said if it had spread there'd be no point in the surgery. Well, he said he didn't find any cancer so he removed the front leg/shoulder. The recovery was terrible. It was a massive surgery and the wound was big. As I'm sure you know, keeping a dog clean isn't an easy task. Let along a very big dog who was just trying to learn to walk without his front leg... Well, despite my absolute best efforts it ended up infected (which the vet said was a highly likely possibility). The after care was crazy expensive. We had to take him to have this wound cleaned every day for weeks. It was horrible but he got better. So finally he's all healed and is starting to learn to walk well again. It's a lot harder for a dog to lose a front leg than a rear leg I guess, and even harder for big dogs. I had to buy a special harness for him and help him up and down the stairs and stuff like that. Even had to help him go to the bathroom for a while. He was a relatively quick learner though, and was able to overcome it after a few months. He was able to use the stairs on his own again and all that stuff. Was even able to run again. Honestly, it was inspiring to see how this dog overcame losing his leg, and how it never changed his happy go lucky, easy going personality one bit. Got his 1 year check up and all was good. He still looked cancer free. Well, shortly after that, out of nowhere, he stopped eating and was acting lethargic. We took him to the vet and they had to do all sorts of scans on him. We had to leave him because he had to be sedated. So we had to wait a while for the results. It was torture. The news wasn't good. They said his whole chest and stomach area was filled with tumors. Nothing they could do. They gave him Prednisone pills (it's a steroid). I guess it helped the swelling and pressure from the tumors of something like that. It actually really helped initially. He began eating again and had a little more energy. I think it at least made him a bit more comfortable. We had had him put down a few months after finding out. It was really tough. Thrn had to have my other dog put down maybe 6-8 months later. She at least went from old age though. My Malamute was still young. Just figured id share my story with you. Sorry again about your dog. They really do become like family.
  17. Wow. No way. The Sabres won. I am in total shock (about numerous things). They won against a very good team. They came back from behind and didn't blow it. A replay review actually went their way! (seriously, I'm not joking...) And they won in overtime. None of these things usually happen. I'm amazed... lol. So happy to get a win. I was so damn sick of thr losses in OT (and regulation). Happy for the Sabres players too. Now they can really enjoy their New Year's Eve in NYC and go into the Winter Classic on a good note, with a positive attitude coming off a great win.
  18. Huh. I would say exactly the opposite... IMO I thought he struggled in preseason and early in the year. And I don't know if you remember, but at that time Humber was playing really well. It's hard to say that Milano earned the job over Humber early in the year. I thought Milano developed as the year went on, and did very well filling in for Humber when he got injured. Then Humber came back and didn't play nearly as well as he had earlier in the year, while Milano continued to improve. So he was then given the starting job. I think things went exactly as they should. Why should Milano, a late round rookie, have been handed a starting job to start the year when it was pretty clear to everyone that Humber earned it? But when it became clear that Milano should be starting, he was named the starter. Isn't that how things should work? A rookie shouldn't just be handed a starting job he hasn't earned just because he was a draft pick of the new regime. So, I'd say that first, it was a great evaluation move to snag Milano late in the draft. And then I'd say it was a good evaluation/personnel move to let him develop and name him starter when he had truly earned it. I definitely done see this as some quesrionable move to comp, win about, that for sure...
  19. I am perfectly fine with moving on from Tyrod. But... as I've always said, only if they are bringing in an upgrade. Im not sure how I'd feel if it was just Peterman and a rookie. Id just hate to see the Bills add a bunch of talent through the draft + free agency and then take a huge step back at QB. I want them to draft a guy in the 1st. But I'd like there to be a bridge QB. Id also be ok if they went after Kirk Cousins to fill the QB need. Or if they went after a different bridge QB like Alex Smith or Drew Brees or even Sam Bradford (if healthy). If they can't bring in another decent veteran QB then it seems smart to just keep Tyrod one more year instead of taking the $8.6M dead cap hit to move on from him. Im definitely wishing for some type of upgrade though.
  20. Zay has definitely dropped too many passes, a number of which should have been catches for sure. But Tyrod really hasn't done him too many favors either. He's thrown quite a few balls Zay's way that really were not catchable passes, despite what some Tyrod apologists around here might say. As far as separation, i've seen Zay struggle at times. But I've also seen him get separation only to see Tyrod look his way and not pull the trigger, not look his way at all or just plain overthrow him. So it works both ways... Overall, Zay's first year has been a disappointment. He deserves much of the blame, but there is also blame to go around and Tyrod deserves his share.
  21. Wow! What a goal. That behind the net angle really shows what amazing hands CM has. Total individual effort by him on that play. He stripped the puck, and then turned both the defenseman & goalie inside out. I get more more and more excited every time I see this kid play!
  22. From everything I've read and heard, it was McDermott who wanted Hyde. Hyde even said himself that a big reason he signed here is because McDermott came after him hard as soon as free agency opened. McDermott actually started his NFL career in scouting. He's known to have a pretty good eye for talent, especially in the secondary. Here's just one article crediting McDermott for scouting and signing Hyde. I've seen numerous more... http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/12/how_did_buffalo_bills_land_micah_hyde_in_free_agency_ask_the_green_bay_packers.html As for a Poyer, it was actually Bob Babich who was the biggest factor in getting him. Babich worked with him for 3 years in Cleveland and highly recommended him to McDermott and Frazier. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Familiarity-with-Poyer-landed-Bills-a-free-agent-steal/93caa964-472d-49b0-8f59-76362617c3da Not sure if I'd call him a long shot coaching candidate either. He's been on the NFL advisory committee's short list of coaching candidates for a few years now, and I guess Philly actually was going to hire him in 2015. They really wanted an Andy Reid protege and McDermott was at the top of their list, but Carolina made that run to the Super Bowl and I guess Philly didn't want to wait any longer so they went with Doug Pederson (another Reid protege), or so I read anyway...
