I'm just worried that this year is just an aberration. Case Keenum has basically sucked his entire career up until this year. Is it just a perfect offense and set of circumstances surrounding him? Or has he truly taken a huge step forward and become a good QB? Weve seen plenty of guys have 1 good year and then disappear again. I'm just worried that would happen with Keenum. Alex Smith has performed on a much more consistent basis. You know exactly what you're getting with him. He's not elite by any means, but we could win with him, he doesn't turn the ball over and he can move an offense pretty well. He'd be a nice QB to have while grooming our guy of the future.

We desperately need upgrades (and speed) at linebacker.

I would be very happy if Buffalo did this. Trade for Alex Smith, sign him to a 2-3 year extension and then draft a QB to groom behind him to take over eventually. Alex Smith is a good QB though. Not the greatest but he's better than our current options.

Not sure I agree with that. do you see how well Jacksonville's defense is playing? And the mistakes and missed plays by Buffalo? I agree that that there has been some questionable play calling at times though. But we are getting outplayed right now.

Man what the heck has happened to Tyrod's long ball that he had his first season here? I dont buy that it is just the receivers, because he had a great long ball even with 2nd and 3rd stringers in preseason that first year. Ah crap I think Clay is out...

I agree. The Bills have been very competitive and kept it very close. But Jacksonville just has so much talent on defense. They are a QB away from being a scary good team.

Damn. Im not sure if our offense can overcome a 7 point deficit playing against Jacksonville's defense. Their D line is all over Tyrod. Myles Jack is playing great. Their secondary is playing great. Talent usually tends to win to win out in the end, and they have much more of that than we do. Im sure McDermott and Beane know that, though. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year. They've just way overachieved because of good coaching, execution and playing as a true 46 man unit/team. Im not giving up yet by any means. Just trying to temper my expectations and also trying to prepare myself, in true Bills fan fashion, for a loss. lol

Oh no. Hyde to the locker room. If he has had to pass concussion protocol he could miss some time here. Thats a hard loss to overcome. He is a vocal leader on the field and on the sideline as well.

IMO Bortles has been the difference so far. If he was playing better, I think we'd most likely be losing.
