  1. Cuisine? Boston dirty water hot dogs>NYC dirty water hot dogs. There. I said it.
  2. Toilet paper? Primitive savages! Get a bidet and two hand towels. You mount it to your toilet, super simple plumbing even teef can handle. No more mud butt, no more itchies, easier on your septic. And a perfectly clean balloon knot every time. Seriously. Get a bidet. My life advice to you, dear reader.
  3. I used to enjoy (pre Covid) the occasional trip in for business. Easy train ride in from CT, walk the city, get the feel of the city (and the smell on your clothes), etc. But 2-3 times a year was PLENTY. Truly a "nice place to visit but wouldn't want to live there" for me. (Nice to be able to take the kids into the city for the museums too.)
  4. I still owe some rando in the bathroom a thanks from my first game. I went to wash my hands in the sink post halftime and he nicely grabbed by arm and said....I wouldn't do that if I were you. It became obvious why very quickly.
  5. I think air fryers are wildly overrated (don't think they are that great at wings)....but one thing they do incredibly well IMO is warm up cold fries. We'll keep fries from night before for lunch next day now. The first time my wife suggested it I thought it was some pretty low rent ***** (who reheats fries, impossible) but it works damn well.
  6. ***** I did the same thing yesterday prognosticating next season. At least we still have leather helmets. They are the bees knees.
  7. He'll enjoy South Beach, the lack of income taxes for the home games, and 9-7 with no playoffs.
  8. Man if you at all like wrestling and you like shoot interviews, there are very few better than some of the older Nash and Hall interviews. Two dudes who don't mince words. If they think someone sucks or is a jobber or a kiss ass or whatever...they will say so. And of course, some of the OTHER best shoot interviews are also people talking ***** about the Cliq. That was a fun time for wrestling.
  9. Bills Fanatics? XD Weren't there some other spin off boards at one point? I seem to recall getting recruited for something call Bills Fanatics or the like. There was Anythingbut.org too, that was pretty cool.
  10. Maaaaaaaybe.....but at this point in people paying attention to whatever to gauge anything, message boards might as well be telegrams, or newspapers. They are WAY behind the times. I assume the org does pay a attention to twitter, for better or worse. Even the mere idea that Tom Donahoe yelled at someone who then yelled at Wyo of FlaFitz (as if TD would grace Fla with his actual presence) even once based on some salty thread we had tickles me. It was the official board. When it's not official, I feel like they they just go "who cares, it's the internet." Yes, I am a child.
  11. JM2C: It was one of the only official team boards, especially at the end. That carried a lot of weight for me, participation wise. The idea that all the saucy ***** we did and etc made it to actual Bills brass at times....that was kind of the appeal to me. I do love this place now but....to me BBMB, for all it's warts, was the major leagues of being an online tool of a fan. Non-offical boards are the minors where the only person you are annoying is some well meaning fan...where it the fun in that? I do feel badly at all the fun we had at the mods expense, most of whom were pretty cool folks, just trying to do a job. I mean, yeah, there were some...um...interesting candidate choices at the end (ahem, rock chalk) but I enjoyed going down with the ship.
  12. Who else? XD I still remember him telling me how he got a signed Christmas card from the guy. Listen you ^^$&#% jerk, we abso-^#$&*(%-lutely were not an "angry bunch". Trust me GODDAMMIT! I F*(@#*(# know, buddy!
  13. Somewhere in Florida, there is a guy still defending Tom Donahoe.
  14. This place is great, and a welcoming home. That being said, BBMB for life.
  15. Oddly I think they are OK as long as you don't eat what they advertise the most/as their best. Their "Roast beef" sandwiches are terrible, and taste more like ham than anything. But I think their chicken sandwiches are pretty damn good, and the curly fries also are not bad. Also, points for any restaurant with me who has horseradish sauce of any kind available.
  16. So....Matthew Stafford is a real gentleman...
  17. Creepiest video game song, for sure: Hisou Kihei X-Serd is a mecha strategy game on the PC Engine (TurboGrafx-16) which never got an official English release. In its files is a song by one of the designers written from the perspective of the serial child rapist, killer, and cannibal Tsutomu Miyazaki, also know as the "Otaku Killer," who was apprehended during the game's development. The reason why this song was included is unknown. I ain't even listing any of the lyrics. Terrible. (EDIT: I can indeed confirm that KISS sucks btw. BIGTIME)
  18. No but it is a ***** way to go I'd guess, he was probably in tons of physical pain....I know people committing suicide often aren't thinking with immediate physical pain in mind but...damn. Even putting one in the dome, you have to do it "right" (I hate to even say that) and with a big enough caliber. yeah could be, very hard to get into someone's head here. It just sucks.
  19. Awful. Gunshot wound to the chest? Man. Was he trying to preserve his brain for research like Duerson?
  20. How often you take those bad boys to the range T&C? Does your state allow spray bottles with more than 10 ozs? My state makes me stay under 10ozs AND I have to put the little straw thing on the nozzle first to make it a legal length spray bottle. Also if my spray bottle has a nozzle, a handle AND cap, it is now an assault spray bottle, and I have to get an NFA stamp for it. Goddamn Connecticut.
  21. I'd love to be the new coach walking into that locker room. They played hard for Flores, and he was fired. Then they find out the owner wanted them to lose basically for an entire year. Team spirit baby.
  22. Best actual advice I got was when my mom died. She has brain and lung cancer, and I helped take care of her with my grandma (I did nights, grandma did days), and I was tired. I was done, I was out of gas. I have some beef with my brother over how little he did to help, and just didn't want to go to the funeral. I was ready to move on with my life (I thought) and just didn't want any drama. I don't know if I actually would have not gone, but I know I was considering it. I mentioned this to my dad, who had been divorced from my mom for several years at that point. My dad explained to me that funerals are really important. You'll see all these people (or even just one) that cared about the person you also cared about. You'll share stories and you'll share experiences. You'll remember. And even though it hurts, sharing those experiences is super-healing and can help bond you with others, so that the person who is gone is STILL making an impact. When many people from many years ago in my mom's 'old life' showed up to honor her, it was the one of the most uplifting things I have ever gotten to experience, and it helped me heal. I am really not sure that if I had not discussed this with my dad, EVEN IF I had decided to go, I would have gone in with the attitude I needed to have to have it be a positive experience. I had not been to an (edit: family) funeral previous to that except as a kid, and that is just a whole different experience. Sadly, I lost my best friend in the middle of Covid. His folks could not have a funeral. A year later, his mom had a ceremony for him, very small. I was very conflicted as I thought I had moved on and this felt somewhat like picking at a scab that was healing fine already. Well, my dad's advice came to me, and I knew I had to go. It was not easy, especially with the time delay, but I got to remember my friend in the best way possible, with other people who valued his life and his spirit. I know this is something most folks know already I guess, but I didn't. I'm glad my dad was around to explain it to me.
  23. Favorite Brady Moment(In game) More power to the guy for his personal success. I don't wish him ill-will personally and never did. Just on the football field when it affects my team. It's a game.
  24. Time to dust of the eatin' popcorn emoji. Wow. This is gonna be a hot mess.
