  1. Realistically a 2nd is probably top of the market. But I doubt we get that. If we do move him it will probably be for a 3 or 4 depending on the team (3 if they are a good team, 4 if not) I don't believe he will be traded though. Real tough to get a draft pick in return this early in the season, most teams want a player that can help them.
  2. Well since twitter and facebook are the sewer of society, I would say they are not fair representations of the general sentiment. People hate the Packers because they win, plus they hit the ever-elusive "double franchise qb" whereas they have 2 elite qbs back to back in Favre and Rodgers. I always root for all the big teams to lose (pats, cowboys, packers, steelers) mostly because a HUGE portion of those fanbases are fair weather bandwagoners that don't know jack. Packers are the least objectionable though as they play far away, aren't in the conference, don't cheat, and never beat us in a super bowl. And though few years back, I have never seen more opposing fans in our stadium than GB fans that day. Was fun talking **** to all of them at the end, too....
  3. We have a winner. Trying to be a martyr, and get his name out there. If not for kneeling, he would fade away into obscurity, and there wouldn't be hollywood elites, rappers, media, and leftys using him as their poster boy. I'm sure he loves that. If he actually wanted to play, he would not have walked away from his contract, or allowed his g/f to spear the Ravens deal. If he really really wanted to play, he would probably give up the schtick.
  4. Meh. I would prefer the Bills brought themselves up to the level of a playoff team, rather than the rest of the league being so bad that we have a chance. This season is massively boring. Football is dying. Right in front of our eyes. First boxing, then baseball, now football. Only one sport can be king at a time, and the course of over regulation, poor product, and off field/sideline issues are decimating the ratings.
  5. Yeah, besides him opting out on his own accord, if he were good he would have a job. Owners/coaches are fine with the BS if the player is any good at all. If anyone needs confirmation of this, see Joe Mixon, Ray Lewis, Tom Brady (multiple cheater evidence destroyer), Mike Vick, Brandon Marshall, etc, etc.... He is putting on a clinic on how not to get a job. And he's brilliant at it.
  6. I guess I get it why they will keep Tyrod in... But I am generally in the camp of when you know a player is not the answer, there is no point in dragging it out. I think you give TT the chance to make the playoffs, but if/when we are eliminated, 5 should be done for the year. It just makes so much sense to see what you have in Peterman, and get him some live action. After all, next year he will be competing with a 2018 draft pick. Really wish the NFL had a farm system so we could see Peterman play in "the minors".
  7. If they got rid of sammy for locker room/character/availability reasons, Bryant will NOT be a Bill.
  8. And the hockey hasn't been much better. Forget the golden age, these are the dark ages.
  9. There are news sites that aren't trash?
  10. And his scouting report reads "Hands catcher outside the hashes and snatches it away from his frame. Swallows ball into his frame to protect it when working over the middle"
  11. Awesome. Bill freakin' Murray Not much of what Dylan has done can be classified as singing imo. Saw him at CMAC about 10 years ago (just to have seen him), and wow... so, so bad. If you want to hear what he's like when he actually sings, it's surprisingly good. Check out Dylan singing "Girl from the North Country" with Johnny Cash https://youtu.be/dyN-ya3rCPwnevermind the video is a scene from some chick flick.
  12. Yup, he'll sign for $50 and a bag of cool ranch doritos, hoping to get a ring.
  13. Nonsense? I seem to remember him converting 3rd downs with scrambles. We may have had "help from his passing", but we beat denver and atl because of the defense.
  14. Perhaps they don't believe any help would actually net results, or that the team just isn't good enough to make the tourney? Idk, but I feel like any team who believes they can make it would make a move when our entire receiving corpse is gone/hurt/pathetic. Especially over the bye week. Def not any type of tank though, imo.
  15. Tyrod plays a game that bolsters his passer rating. Holding the ball and taking sacks isn't factored in. 3 and outs are not factored in. Yes, he makes some great throws, but an equal amount of true head-scratchers. The games when he is most effective, it is his RB skills that make the difference. I am not trying to beat down tyrod, he has done fine for what he is, but lets not pretend he is actually in the top 10 of QBs. I still think we can win with him, but he will never carry the team, do it on his own, or scare teams with his pocket passing. If you keep him in the pocket, he is very very average.
  16. I disagree with this wholeheartedly. Despite my opinion of cousins, he is a legitimate starter, and I wouldn't even mind if Buffalo made him the highest payed player. Fact is, ANY qb worth a half a pile of dog **** would become the highest payed player in FA, and many teams would be wooing him.
  17. Yay, another thread telling me why how I think is wrong. Nevermind that we can't score points, and have no wideouts. Nevermind that even the run game isn't working. Nevermind that we couldn't beat a 1-3 team with a +3 turnover margin. We got 3 wins, it's all gravy. Obviously McD is steering us in the right direction, but I don't need to calm down, this ship has some real choppy waters ahead before the smooth sailing. Playoffs with a team that can't score just isn't happening, not this year anyhow. I did not expect to be good coming into the season, but the pats losing got everyone's hopes up. If we hadn't lost Matthews, Clay, Gaines, etc I would agree, it's just a loss, but it's more than that. We need skill players to survive. If Shady goes down we have literally nothing, and he is now the entire focal point of opposing defenses so won't be as effective (in an already down year for him). If we don't materialize a WR or pass catching target of quantifiable difference, this season is a wash.
  18. Nelson and Jones played over their heads that year, though imo... and if we had 2011 Stevie right now, he would have gone over 100 today. Nobody could get open after Clay went down, and the D keyed on Shady. It's brutal how much we need WR help.
  19. Fair enough on both points, but the sentiment remains. How many times have we had hot starts and beat good teams, only to instantly drop like a rock when starters begin to get injured? I don't know how many, but too many. Like I said, I am really hoping that's not the case, and I do believe we will eventually get there with this coaching staff. That's the big difference this year. There was no hope with prior coaching staff. Yeah +3, you get the win a heinous amount of the time. Hard to do that in a loss.
  20. I feel like there is this same thread every year. We beat a couple teams we aren't supposed to, then lose to a crap team (say what you want bungles were 1-4 entering today). Then people say it's all good. Look what we have done. We beat (insert team name). Tyrod was OK. Trust the process. It was penalties. Bad luck. Could have, should have, would have. We are headed in the right direction. There will be easier defenses. But I know deep down we aren't going anywhere. I hope I'm wrong, but sense that I am not. History repeats itself. We cannot overcome injuries and lack of depth. Same song and dance.
  21. There goes our nuber 1 receiver...
  22. Yeah I don't have a problem being harassed or picked on because of being exBBMB, it was more of an example that applies to me, and I can fend for myself, but just wouldn't want to be locked out of content. If the roles were reversed and TBD integrated into bbmb, there is no way... oh wait, nevermind it would be just the same... cliques tend to be "clicky", go figure. I get your point, and if it is more customized or specialized subforum as you describe, that would be awesome and a true benefit to the site. As long as anyone besides Scott doesn't have the ability to exclude certain posters, for any reason, I would be "on board" so to speak.
  23. I agree with this. Also, have seen plenty of people express dislike for certain views or opposing opinions, and exiled BBMBers. I like the initial idea, but I'm not sure increased division would be productive. I like to think I am part of TBD, even though I'm relatively new, and being locked out of certain content seems odd. If certain people cannot be a productive member of the community, they should be banned anyway, so I don't really see merit in "trying to keep trolls out" or arguments of the like. Just my $.04 (inflation)...
  24. Yah, that "sucked" for like a day though, and only because we were blindsided. That was affirmation for me that old posts are not important. It's rare I go past the first page unless checking for duplicates before starting a thread. I would say scrap it all. Every important thread will be re-made in about 10 seconds anyway.
  25. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I suppose OP would argue to put Peterman in? Consider this, as our offense has such a "thin margin for error", would we take out a QB with only 1 turnover in 4 games in favor of a rookie? I would argue that, without a solid WR corps, Taylor is a better fit for the role right now as him mobility and ability to extend plays is essential. Taylor has many faults, no doubt, but we don't have a better option, and we are winning with very little talent in the skill groups short of Shady, and maybe Clay. I just don't see a point in slamming Taylor right now. We are not going to make a switch anytime soon, and his ability to run for first downs and not turn the ball over compliment a dominant defense well.
