  1. I like Cousins ... just not at the price he is going to command .. rather us spend money elsewhere and work via the draft.
  2. Totally agree ... Dontari Poe please .. 27 years old ... or even Muhammad Wilkerson .. little Jets revenge two times a year.
  3. Got to admit it ... I remember his senior year game against Oklahoma ... was one of the most incredible single game college performances I ever saw .. thought he was going to be good in the NFL ... just a size thing I guess at the end of the day .. but he lit up OK .. check out those stats Player School Att Yds Avg TD Rec Yds Avg TD Plays Yds Avg TD Tavon Austin West Virginia 21 344 16.4 2 4 82 20.5 0 25 426 17.0 2
  4. He hasn't been dealt the best hand at times . .but he comes back every time .. praying for him to kick the Cancer's A@*%#& one more time ... stay tough .. Kelly Strong!!!
  5. Under promise and over deliver ... kind of refreshing vs. "we won the offseason" from Rex
  6. I saw an overview on NFL network last night ... the key thing I liked about Mayfield ..is comments from his teammates .. that he makes the other guys play better and on the other side of the ball ... he makes the Defense believe ... I think he has more leadership/intangibles than any other QB in the draft ... attitude is almost Farve like and/or McMahon like in my opinion ... I like that in my team's QB. Look at Mike Rodak's stats yesterday on Tyrod's 4th quarter performance (net of INTs) not good when Bills within 8 points .. I'll take Mayfield in the same scenario and believe we'll have better production.
  7. Gunner ... given your draft acumen .. curious for your take on deep WR sleeper ... see Anthony Mahoungo from Purdue ... 6' 3" .. watch the 2nd half of the Iowa game highlights they rotated multiple corners could not cover him and bowl game vs. Arizona .. late bloomer? Also were you impressed by Sammy's 2018 season?
  8. Really ... c'mon man ... 39 receptions last year for the Rams in a Sean McVay offense .. and he was "primed" for a huge year with Tyrod. To quote another WR .. ochocinco .. child please.
  9. I like the Mayfield's competitive on field demeanor ... reminds me of Farve given enthusiasm for game. His accuracy stats are a plus ... I think his personality would play well in Buffalo ... but agree not sure he will pass the McD ethics test given background
  10. WR Over Vita Vea ... negative ... I need to write Mock Draft picks .. with this type of insight .. maybe CBS is hiring.
  11. Completely agree ... let's see what drops to us (or we trade up) in the draft .. either way ... whomever we get with Nate is better than overpaying for a FA QB (if they were the answer .. how come their original teams didn't lock them up??) ... I do believe the closer this gets ... and I never thought possible but McBeane may hold Tyrod given the friendly contract and fact it goes away after next year ... unless they can get a 4th or better draft pick via trade.
  12. I just looked at both draft histories (2006 / 2007) ... what a wasteland .... there were no QB's (net of maybe Cutler) worth a pick ... so granted Marv didn't do great .. but just look at the busts in those first few rounds ... might be around the same percentage league wide.
  13. I was in the sit tight camp ... but after seeing this .... MOVE UP .. .get away from 22. Draft Karma is a B word.
  14. I think the answer is no. I'm waiting to read a post of who is the can't miss prospect (granted no one is without flaws .. but worth the cost of trading the farm) in this year's class ... if such a mesiah doesn't exists ... then I'm good holding our draft capital and selecting who drops to 21-22 and pick our QB there or as others have said ... if Mayfield drops into the teens .. then make that move. Statistically from what I read (net of height concerns) ... I like him the best of all .. but don't think I'd trade the farm to get him over a Rudolph, L Jax, or Mike White.
  15. Gunner .. great work .. would like your insight as to Rosen ... not saying he's your pick persay .. but since you have him going #3 to the Bills .. why do you think he stands out vs the other QB's available and worth the trade up vs. sitting at where we are. Better said .. why is he the next Jim Kelly in your opinion?
  16. Rashaad Penny Please Or Kallen Ballage .. he hammered people in the Senior Bowl
  17. I can't believe I'm going to say this .... but the more I read ... I'm leaning to Jackson (as we don't have to trade away our entire draft to get him) .. and think maybe he can be different than Tyrod ... given below analysis among others of multiple reads and pocket passing. His arm based on highlights looks like a rocket. I was thinking Mason at first .. but the intangibles with Jackson outweigh Rudolph in my opinion who plays in a wide open Big 12 (heave it up and they will catch it). I also like White from Western Ky but don't see him in first round .. so who knows take two QB's? Who Needs veterans -- now that is out of the box thinking ... Nate, Jackson, and White? 4. Lamar Jackson, Louisville, 6’3, 211 lbs. Jackson has an amazing skill set with a powerful arm that allows him to make throws off a platform that many NFL quarterbacks couldn’t even dream of making. He is tough in the pocket, knows his scheme well, and has amazing athleticism and speed as a runner. Jackson looks like a taller and right-handed version of Michael Vick. In 2017, Jackson completed 59 percent of his passes for 3,660 yards with 27 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He averaged 6.9 yards per carry on the ground on his way to 1,601 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. Jackson isn’t respected enough as a quarterback though. The knocks are predictable: He’s too skinny, his footwork needs to be improved and he doesn’t win from the pocket. Those arguments don’t take into account multiple factors. First, Jackson improved each season from the pocket. Second, Bobby Petrino’s offense asked him to make multiple reads in the passing game. Finally, Jackson is only 20 years old and still developing. No one can deny his production and consistent dominance against top competition.
  18. 26 .. please look at QBR over the last 3 years for TT ... not cherry picking there ... the numbers speak for themselves.
  19. You divide the locker room if he's still here ... as we all know there is some Tyrod loyalist .. my point is ... he's had his shot ... don't settle for mediocre or less than mediocre ... turn the page. Take that money and apply to other team needs.
  20. AMEN ... not sold on the spread of the top 4 vs. the others than can drop to 21-22 or beyond (i.e Jackson / White) Now that is funny .. though visually accurate . .how you pulled those two together to get Mason is fantastic.
  21. Through "winning record" is grammatically correct .. let's not jump up and down about 22-20 W/L record for Tyrod .. WR corp aside (though Woods, Goodwin appear to had more success after departure)... 3 straight years of declining Yard per attempt from 8.0 to 6.7 last year .. 3 straight years of declining QBR from 70.3 to 56.4. Move on
