Remember liking him in the 2016 draft. His walterfootball draft profile fwiw: Tyler Ervin, RB, San Jose State Height: 5-9. Weight: 192. Arm: 30. Hand: 9.13. 40 Time: 4.41. Projected Round (2016): 4-6. 4/26/16: The diminutive back Ervin is a return weapon on special teams who has played some cornerback as well. The senior averaged 5.4 yards per carry in 2015 for 1,601 yards with 13 touchdowns. He also had 45 catches for 334 yards with two scores. In his career, Ervin has three kickoffs returned for a score and two punt return touchdowns. He did not stand out in Mobile, but he was very fast at the combine. Ervin could be a late-round pick to serve as a third-down receiving back and returner.

It would not shock me if Beane was involved in scouting Obada only a month or so before leaving Carolina.

Even with Hughes, Addison, Epenesa, Obada, and Johnson, I hope we are still open to drafting one high or signing one of the top remaining or still-to-be-cut DEs. Could always keep 3 of the above DEs on the roster with Obada as a DT and bump Zimmer. Also, wish he got number 55 just so it would read: OBADA(55)

Agreed. I guess my intent was to say I think they could be solidly in this discussion by season’s end. And ok thanks re: Conley. I checked ourlads and they had him on the depth chart.

For those mentioning the Cardinals, I think the better argument currently is Christian Kirk moreso than AJ Green. Also like Isabella's upside. A sleeper pick: the Jaguars. Nowhere near elite at the top end, but I like their potential 5-wide with Marvin Jones, DJ Chark, Laviska Shenault, Jr., Phillip Dorsett, and Dede Westbrook/Chris Conley.

This strikes me as consolidating 2 or more of Smith/Kroft/Gilliam similar to how many want to consolidate 3 or 4 of WR5/HB3/KR/PR. Edit: HB3 not HB2

Would hate to see him go, but (a) consolidating roles as has been mentioned would help maximize roster efficiency and (b) rather see him in the NFC if it has to happen.

To fall asleep I’ll go through the Bills roster in my head. Last night I was thinking about possible QB2s and Trubisky really stuck out to me as a realistic and mutually beneficial option.
